  1. OK, next problem. So Im doing the moon missions from Nathan's tutorial and I have already completed the contract 5000KM Moon flyby. SO I decided to take the Moon impact mission. The problem is that it wont complete. I can satisfy only 2 of the 3 requirements at any given time. First is build a new ship, ok thats easy enough. Dont remember the second one but I dont have a problem with it. Third one is impact the Moon. OK, I can do that, did it twice in a row. Thing is, once I satisfy the impact parameter, the build new vehicle parameter fails on impact and the contract does not complete. Sooo, what am I doing wrong? In the tutorial, he just hits it and all is good. I fail to understand.

  4. Here ya go, Explorer 4 is the one thats made per the tutorial It should be getting closer to the moon than it is. The others (Ballista 4 and on) I think were attempts to improve things.   6. Why I sure can but Im currently at work. I can upload them to my dropbox and give you a link. Im following the 2016 older tutorials on RP-0, not the "race" ones.which are newer. I can also post a pic of my current science tree which might be helpful as well. Since Im fairly new to RSS/RO/RP-0, i struggle a bit unlike my skills in the regular Kerbal world where I know what I( am doing. I will make a new post tonight when I get home in about 5 hours. Thanks for taking a look.

If you were attempting to fix the TT-06 launch tower I thank you for your efforts but I have no clue what exactly that means and depending on what its licensed under, it might prevent you from doing that but I dont really understand all of that stuff anyway. Its all very confusing. I looked through all the files just trying to figure out which file it was exactly. I did find a launch tower 1 in there that didnt have a config file, I wondered about that. I so wish I knew more.
  8. Well, I have progressed through Nathan's video tutorials on RP-0 and I have made it to #5 Moon Attempts. The problem I am having is that things have changed a little since he made those and I dont get the same Dv that he was getting. So building according to his video doesnt give me enough Dv to accomplish this part. I do have access to the next level of motors and such because I had more science and money. I have tried to modify things in different combinations to get that little bit more Dv but without success. The next booster is either too strong or the next level of 2nd stage cant handle the extra weight that more burn time gives me. Im not sure what to do at this point. I bet others have come upon this same problem as I. I was wondering if anyone has found a solution to the problem at hand. I was considering adding one or 2 more baby sargeants tomake p for the loss. Im open to suggestions if anyone has a solution that will allow me to continue to follow the tutorial..
  9. OK. do I need to bring that to someones attention? AFAIK, I dont have to use them at all so far. I only noticed it because Nathan used them in his tutorial video which I believe he made last year on a build prior to 1.2.2. Thanks for your help. Oh and thanks for all you do here which appears to be a lot. Dont know where you find the time. I appreciate everything you do.

  12. Im going to try this with 1.2.2 rss/ro/rp-0. Hopefully it doesnt break anything. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it? Im only adding this so I can exclude some parts from staging. I know I can put them in stage 0 but that messes up the delta v for mechjeb. I am certainly going to make a backup of my current build just in case it all goes sideways. Ckan says it is compatible with my build. I always worry when it says that for 1.3.1 mods.
  13. Im doing the Realism Overhaul thing. The issue I have is that on the TT-06 launch tower, the base of the tower is halfway up the lower part of the tower. It looks like it could hit the rocket possibly. Its not on the ground like it should be. Does anyone else see that happening? I used ckan to do the install. It looks correct in Nathan Kell's RO tutorials. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? I had posted this elsewhere and just discovered that the launch tower is from this mod. At any rate, it looks like the base of the tower isnt correct somehow and it rides up with the tower once raised a bit. Looks like it should be able to stay on the ground more that it currently does. Ive been trying to find which part it is in the files but could not find it. Just a FYI.
  14. I discovered that this launch clamp is from the SXT mod and not this one, my apologies for any confusion on the matter.
  15. Well, as it would happen, this didnt happen until just now. I believe the delay part came with " Its just a matter of making a successful launch. " OK, so I was 4 days late but alls well that ends well eh? That will teach me to get ahead of myself. I probably should have posted in the "You will not go to space today" thread but I neglected it because of self disgust. lol Anyway, I made it without having to use the RD-103 and I actually made it on the RD-102 , so it sort of made up for my blunder. Im happily in orbit now.
  16. I hope I am asking this in the right thread. Im not sure if it is or not but....... Doing NathanKell's tutorials for rp-0 and in episode 4 he uses the RD-103. In my engine UI it says I lack tech for the RD 103. RD-102 is good to go which is what I have been using instead. So, what must I do to get the RD-103 to stop saying that I lack tech? Actually Im in episode 3 but ready for 4
  17. It would be pretty arrogant of us to believe we were the only ones. But that would be typical human thinking though.
  18. Yep , i did that, that is where I got the 2 min 20 secs from. Something isnt right though. Ive done something wrong somehow. I dropped it back to a 1 min 10 sec burn and that went just fine but hot staging isnt working for me and the AJ10 isnt firing up correctly now. Go figure! I even rebuilt all of those 2 stages. I think what I am going to do is to start the tutorial over again from the beginning. Cant hurt anything and I am likely to just learn more from the process. Maybe I will figure out what I am not doing right. I have to believe Im not doing something right. I bet its something about researching and such and buying the upgraded engines that I am not doing correctly. Oh, and I need to do more reading I think as well. Starting with the Test Flight mod. Also, you said that should be 1 min 40 but the middle mouse click on the engine says 2 mins 20. Something is wrong, maybe I made some mistake installing the whole RO/RSS/RP-0 thing. I will however gladly except any ideas that you might have. Oh and TY for trying to help, I appreciate that very much.
  19. RD103m Im wondering if I havent flown it enough yet. the info says 2.20 Maybe its still in its early mode even though its says 2.20 There is a strong possibility that I dont know what I am doing yet. lol
  20. It is rated for 2 mins and 20 secs, Im going 1 min 55 secs. I even started cutting it back to less than that. Still flaming out at around 10 secs prior to end time. Tried many times and still keep getting the same. Several flights in a row but it never changes. No improvement or change in any flight. They dont even vary. Makes me wonder whats going on and if I just dont understand. Just duplicating Nathan Kell's tutorial. It makes hot staging impossible.
  21. Is anyone still using this? Im considering removing it but I thought I would ask first before I give up on it. Using it in RP-0. Maybe Im just not doing things right, engine quits early in the same place every time.
  22. I did a complete re-install and I excluded several things but the problem with the launch tower remains. Its the TT06 launch tower. Guess I wont be using that one on tall rockets. But it worked for Nathan in his video. I hate when I cant figure out what is causing problems. Maybe someone will know the answer.
