@IGNOBIL Love your antennas! Deleted all the remote tech ones in favor of your models. There's one little messing up the beautiful screenshots. Your model has some z-fighting going on. Would be nice if you deleted or shifted a bit the unnecessary faces in your model. These parts of the model flicker with camera movement. -
@Nyreik It is the Rocket Factory mod which was released little over a week ago and was featured on the Modding Mondays.

@nightingale Can the "visit base" contract endure all the tourist transfers and not break? I use a shuttle to bring tourists to an LKO station, then transfer them to a space train which then reaches the Mun orbit, a passenger lander comes up from the surface, docks with the train and then brings the tourists to the base landing pad where I use KAS tubes to connect the craft to the base and transfer the tourists. Am I doing something unacceptable for the contract to work?- 699 replies

Surprised nobody mentioned KIS yet. It is the one and only mod that keeps me from playing 1.1 right now, just can't go without it. -
Regarding the bright IVA, @jlcarneiro, on the screenshot your vhicle is facing upwards and the sun is shining right into the cabin. Would you please confirm if this also happens in rover orientation and in space. There's a cool mod for balancing RCS in VAB called RCS Build Aid, also available via ckan.

Hi @blacsky33 looks like landing leg models will need to be updated for 1.1, there are very few compatible currently on the forums. Would be nice to have your parts working. Here's some relevant info: -
@Aelfhe1m I think you should make a new topic for Historian, the GNU V3 license permits redistribution and modification of content. I tried to trace Zeenobit, but it looks like he hasn't used internet since january. His Reddit, youtube and other accounts have no activity ever since. He was last seen playing Fallout 4. Hope he's alive.

Of course I did docking shenanigans :3 It's a rocket manufacturing facility after all. And tourists decided to pay a visiit to my factory. Link to my save file: download Here's the screenshot with three tourists already inside and Contract Window saying "No vessel currently matching parameters". Hi @nightingale, I have a contract to bring tourists to my base on the Mun. I renamed the base before accepting the contract. Still wanting to complete it I brought the tourists to my base but they didn't recognize it and the timer didn't start counting. How can I fix the contract to make it recognize my base? Which "cid" "pid" "uid" or "mid" I need to copy from my base to one of the contract nodes in my persistent.sfs? I see several DOCKED_SUB_VESSEL nodes under the HasPassengers param in the contract, am I digging right?- 699 replies

Hi @Mythos, if you add the search functionality, would you mind making it for vessels and kerbals the same type as the part search bar in KSP 1.1 editors. You type stuff into the searchbar and the list automatically filters on the fly.

@Enki3l It's actually very easy to speed up the process. Deorbit burn, fast forward till you reach atmosphere, use MechJeb's SMART A.S.S. custom surface mode to pitch your nose up to 40° (or something your plane is designed for) and hold it, deactivate your control surfaces to avoid physics warp wobble, use the Better Time Warp mod to increase your physical warp speed to 10x instead of usual 4x. And you'll be in the vicinity of KSC in 1-2 minutes.

Obsessed with Space sims like Freelancer, played space strategies like EVE Online and X3 Reunion. Spent around 500 hours in Space Rangers HD. Been watching Star Citizen vids on youtube and stumbled upon vids by Scott Manley. It was around the beginning of his "KSP Interstellar" series. Couldn't figure out what language was Scott speaking, all those "prograde, apoapsis, interstage, Jebediah ..." words didn't ring a bell. I was skimming through his vids, but decided to watch one from the beginning to the end, that's when I got hooked up. Was googling for "must have mods for KSP" and found these forums. Still have the 0.23 folder with mods from Stardock. The Hangar mod by @allista inspired me to learn modelling and texturing. These skills came quite relevant when I modelled my house in Blender with all the furniture I wanna buy, my family was very happy to see it visualized. I made many friends on the forums and fell in love with the community :3

Hi @MainSailor, I saw you had problems with making metal texture shiny. You heard of Specular Maps right? They bring out the feel of the material. All the scratches become reflective when light falls on them, all the dirty footprints become visible. Specular maps are stored in the Alpha channel of the texture and are grayscale. The whiter the color the more reflective that part of the texture will be. PP can change the tint color. By default it is metallic gray (close to white). Here's the Specular map of my long hazard tank texture: Btw, do you use Photoshop or Gimp? I'd love to give you my source .psd file of this tank. Everything is just a magic of blending layers.
