  1. So today I thought I might try Kebalizer, the little program that supposedly lets you create a custom Kerbal. Yes, I am fully aware you can't actually get that custom Kerbal in the game, though there are a bunch of posts from 2013 with Community Support Managers saying its on the to-do list. Let me give you my experience: Your Journey begins here: https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kerbalizer.php Ahh, neat, a free version. I'll give that a shot and buy the premium one if I find it worthwhile. You are then brought to this page https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kerbalizer.php?free=true where you are presented with a "Unity Web Player" .exe to download. Okay, must be a plugin or something for my browser. I presume the freebie edition is not a standalone program for your computer. That's understandable, and fine with me. Download and run the .exe which installs... something... I guess. Go back to https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kerbalizer.php?free=true and hit refresh which I would imagine would present me with a Unity Web Player window with Kerbalizer inside that... however, nothing changes. Hmm... well, the top of that page reads "KSP Account - Kerbalizer"... but I don't have a KSP store account. That's probably the problem! Proceed to create a KSP Store account and go to the store page found here: https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kspstore/ Ahh... Kerbalizer: $0.00, thar she blows! *clicks link* which brings you here: https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kspstore/index.php?p=24 Uhh, Kerbalizer $0.00 is available on Steam or as an Android App on the Google Play store... uh, okay... but what about the "Unity Web Player" I just installed? *clicks Steam link* and you're brought to the KSP Steam Store page found here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/220200/Kerbal_Space_Program/ ... but this is just the regular Steam Store page to buy the regular KSP game? There is no Kerbalizer anywhere to be found!? Umm, okay? Disregard the following Tomfoolery: Ya know, I'm not always the brightest bulb, so I'm probably doing something wrong. Undaunted, it's back to the Kerbalizer store page we go (https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kspstore/index.php?p=24)! But this time I've made a store account, so I press the "Login" button... and am faced with this message: Again, that's after simply hitting the "Login" button. I was not presented with a username/email field with an additional password entry field. Okay, something isn't working here. Lemme go deeper and google about this... aaand the results are in! Top result is going to take us to the KSP wiki to find out the skinny on this: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Kerbalizer To which this is the result: Uh, okay. So, I guess no Kerbalizer for me then. What an ridiculous runaround that was. I'm not even sure what a "Suggestion" to fix this hot mess would be. However, $2 for a little Kerbal Dressup program would be right up Take Two Interactive's alley as a revenue generator to make some additional profit off their purchase of Kerbal Space Program. Perhaps they could initiate a fix to this bizarre situation? That's all I got.
  2. I came across this .gif on the internets. Is it a fancy mock up, or is there some mod that adds this kind of functionality? https://i.imgur.com/Gl6lKVk.gifv
  3. What kind of guitars an basses do you have?  Not surprising, as Zappa is definitely musician's music.  I went to University for jazz performance.  I have an ES335, and a very unique Showcase edition SG for rockin.  I own a bunch of other instruments too.  Drums, Sitar, Flutes, Saxophones... if it makes noise, I'll play it.  :D

Nice! I'm better at designing stuff (also, audio) than playing instruments. Though I love my semi-acoustic bass. I used to have a '70s Ibanez SG but it didn't survive an accident. Right now one of my friends has parked his double bass at my place and I'd love to improve my technique ... what a bada55 machine!

  4. Its definitely a ridiculous length of time going on here. Perhaps Squad is paying Blitworks "per release", such that getting a functional re-port out the door in a reasonable time frame followed by several hotfix patches as QA continues to find bugs would cost them far more than holding off, letting the community turn on itself, and only have to pay for one console update. There has got to be a reason Squad and now Take Two Interactive are sitting on this update for so long, and I just dont buy "we want to make it as good as possible" as the prime motivator.
  5. Looks like its not a well-maintained list. It shows Civ VI as "coming soon for PC" but that game was released in October of 2016, some 9 months ago. Edit: It also shows XCOM: Enemy Within as "coming soon" but that game was released in 2013, some 44 months ago. Yikes.
  6. I don't know, maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. Its now almost 2 months (10 days shy) since the game and IP was sold to Take Two, but they have zero presence here and if they are the ones calling the shots now, they don't seem to have any interest in interacting with the community. It would be nice to tell them what we're interested in.
  7. Kerbal Space Program isn't listed on Take Two Interactive's website's list of games? No titles starting with "K". https://www.take2games.com/games/
  8. Shouldn't we be asking Take Two Interactive to do this? They're letting Squad do the actual legwork for now, but I imagine the decision to do so would be from TT?
  9. Having read between the lines of the KSP Weeklies, the additional QA team is coming from Take Two Interactive.
  10. I noticed that too, but I already had those folks on ignore so I decided not to complain too much.
  11. Excellent communication. Cheers.
  12. It would depend on your friend's level of patience. "Playable" is subjective. One man's "save corruption leading to restarting a career" is another man's "unplayable". Either is definitely not the intended experience, and will be rectified in time. Edit: Oh thats right, RIC. Seems the choice has been made for your buddy already worir4. Standby! https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/kerbal-space-program/bxg8b9h91f7x
  13. Oh wow, hey, thats service! I just gave it a go and the longest it can get now is 7 lines which looks good. Its long enough for a campy entry for flair, but isn't offputtingly long by any stretch of the imagination. Thanks! I might have to pm you for the method if the fellas over at the DayZ forums don't know how to limit the field. Thanks again.
  14. Just to illustrate how obnoxious a one-line reply with a 26-line location field looks on the Kerbal Space Program Forums: Well, you're not lying, Red. I just checked another Invision Power Services, Inc board and indeed there is no limit there either:
  15. Okay. I guess I'll have to set them to ignore. That's disappointing.
  16. Is it possible to set a reasonable character limit to the Location field of our profiles? I realize it can be used for fun and to give a little personal flair to your account, but there are a few posters who shall remain nameless that are, in my opinion, abusing the seemingly infinite character capacity of the current location field. This results in a Location listing (for a particular user) that is 17 rows long, more often than not longer than the actual content of their posts. Another user's location field is 26(!) rows long. Its annoying. Rather than setting the poster to ignore (I'm certainly open to reading their quality posts), and not being able to turn off viewing of that portion of an account (the way you can turn off signatures) is it possible to limit the characters in that field? Thanks!
  17. I would imagine so. No amount of re-porting the game is going to upgrade consoles' lackluster hardware.
  18. I don't know if any of you cats play Fallout 4, but here I present my garden which is about a mile away from the real life inspiration for Parson's State Insane Asylum ingame. You can see it off in the distance.
  19. That Curious Droid channel is great, been subscribed for awhile now. Definitely worth a check out, y'all.
  20. You don't need mech jeb to fly due West. You need only the A button on your keyboard.
  21. Blow stuff up alot. Revert to VAB and rebuilt so it doesn't explode next time. Its okay to be terrible at it at first. Observation will get you more questions, and we've got your answers.
  22. Okay, you get a friend request for those references!

Now, did you miss the excellent custom mission flag I created for the flight?  Lol.  I'm waiting to see if anyone says anything.
