Or.....

Nope. I like a good fireball and debris field as much as the next guy, but I'm beginning to think Duna doesn't like me. Surprisingly, it was the wheels of the rover which survived (and not much else).
-
Well my last bug on Duna crashed, but not before I discovered that leaving SAS on helped with driving over the seams... it prevented the bug from vaulting. On the other hand, it allowed me to really open up the bug speed-wise, and cruising downhill at 22.2m/s it went explodypoof. So much for that endeavor, zero return. In a few days though, my full size Mun lander will arrive, and if it survives the landing, I'll have something else to cruise Duna with.

No. +2 for that kitty tho.

Your artistry leaves the window wide for interpretation; How about a guesstimation of its size (small or mid sized fighter, large cargo like), and was it jet or prop-driven (could you hear it), and should I take it that's a T-Tail? You could take a stab at paging through Chapters 5 through 12 here (http://www.aircav.com/recog/recogtoc.html), and see if anything fits the bill.

Grrrrr ..... thanks to Duna's patchwork quilt of seams, I've lost yet another bug. It was on a southern trek, almost half way to the anomaly I'd set as its goal. I'm down to one bug, which hopefully will make it to its canyon goal.

totm march 2020 So what song is stuck in your head today?

So yea, I was watching South Park. My bad. -
Looks just like my bugs, and about as fast. My initial test (for Bug-Drop-1) was on Mun. Currently, I've 2 of 4 bugs surviving on Duna. I posted about this a few pages back.

Well I don't quicksaves, or use TCA or MechJeb... but trial and error kinda goes without saying. I find these quite useful... Interactive illustrated interplanetary guide and calculator for KSP and this... Launch Window Planner and this... KSP Aerobraking Calculator

How do I move a Class E asteroid that is already landed on Kerbin?

Instead of explosive hops, why not position and use the boosters to roll it? I'm thinking the "Burn Together" mod would be helpful for this... have them all fire off at once. https://github.com/PapaJoesSoup/BurnTogether/releases -
Today the Duna-Phoenix did its intercept burn. The Phoenix lander is mounted on the transfer vehicle Apollo style (backwards). Having been busy managing other missions, when I came back to the Phoenix the control was active on the lander (not on the transfer vehicle)... 2 minutes into the intercept burn I realized something wasn't right - I was burning retrograde. Lucky for me I had plenty of fuel to spare. I humbly accept the Dummy Of The Day award.

Something @Just Jim said the other day about my setting his mood for the day... and 'mood for the day' has been stuck in my mind since. Today, it popped out... "Mood for a Day". Thank you, Jim. -
What you need is a sled and a harness for the dog.

Gotta love FM, especially cruising in the car, like just now when this spun up... Jeffrey Osborne - Stay With Me Tonight (Original 1983 Extended Version) And that screamin guitar solo, that's Brian May! So, like, science rocks! -
If this is your landline there isn't much you can do unless you're really being harassed and have serious intent to pursue and file suit. That being the case, you'll want to contact your phone company about 'call trace' (and 'call trap') and seek their help. This is the kind of thing however, that once you initiate you'll be following through. For example, if you're in the USA and Verizon is your provider, you can check this out... https://www.verizon.com/support/residential/account/manage-account/security/unlawful-call-assist If this is a cellphone, go get the app "Mr Number"... it's awesome!

Yet there is somebody out there who wants to fill our skies (low orbit) with thousands of little relay satellites to remake the web, and faster at that. Can I laugh yet? Routers do have an instruction memory cache, which can get cluttered with 'lost' instructions and slow the handling of traffic. It is beneficial to cycle the router (and modem) periodically. A proper recycle requires that you remove all cables going to / coming from the device(s); power it off, disconnect, power back on and allow to cycle, power back off, reconnect, power back on. This won't cure all of your woes, but it does remove that obstacle from the issue.

Aye. There is something going around. I've been in this state for 3 weeks now. Just figured I'd give you a heads-up on that.

@Just Jim & @Vanamonde I too remember these; Schoolhouse Rock indeed was awesome... that's what happens when adults sit there and watch kids cartoons with them lol. Because of its infectious nature, that's one of the reasons I avoided Sesame Street like the plague. Mind you, this has all been replaced most recently by Маша и Медведь (Masha and Bear). But without further ado, permit me to purge all of those notes and chords from your minds and pass on the wisdom of David Bromberg... from the Reckless Abandon album (the entire thing of which, is awesome)..... -
Well, my lander landed... That's the only piece which survived. It was a test. No Kerbals were killed or maimed in the process... just an RGU, and they're not sentient... yet.

What about a Groundhog? They're common here, among many other such critters. Also fun to watch, unless its your garden they're munching on. -

When you've got one flitting around in the house and you need to get rid of it? Let them do the right thing outside.
