Interesting news, but I'm not very surprised to hear it. A while ago when the first one left, comment was made about personal safety because of the income KSP had generated for him - and that Mexico wasn't the safest of environments for those with such wealth. Anyone remember that? Then others left. I would suspect for similar reasons. Then you get teamed up with the big league, consoles. That was the beginning of their management crisis downfall... saw that coming. It's obvious, the clout held over them has crushed their control over direction - why else would they all leave? Sad. Not the first time I've seen this however. Fun while it lasted. The future will hold a very different KSP for you.

Being I'm back in here, another thought... If the password recovery idea failed, my next suggestion would be a Knoppix live disc. Download the ISO (it's free) and burn it to a disc (CD/DVD) and then boot that disc on the machine in question. This will allow you access to the drive without having to pull it from the machine as some have suggested... from there, you can move the data or whatever.

I thought the vowel soundings a little goofy, but I could easily see / imagine this individual in a full conversation.
-
Yes, that ^^^^ ... absolutely! LOL!
-
Iceman cometh vowelth... Go ahead, put that on loop for a while.

@StrandedonEarth, lol Many years ago, I was a Rubik's Cube... went to a party... big mistake, I sat down on a couch... everyone used me as a table and set their drinks on me. My arms couldn't reach up to remove the drinks, so I was stuck there for a while, all thanks to my 'friends'.

With all of todays advances in biotechnology, things like CRISPR/CAS 9, we'll be creating Kerbals (giving them life), using 3D printers to create actual rockets that really launch/fly, and launching our Kerbals skyward. Of course we'll run amok and eventually some yahoo right to life group will step up and stop us ... all those Jebs dying and being maimed and all that.

I tend to agree with pxi here, a stiff fine, and it should serve as a warning to others who might attempt to follow. Those that can't pay that fine however (blew their earnings already) could face jail ... it's not entirely impossible.

You guys are all worried and uncomfortable about this, when this crap can simply be Googled. Yo buddy... Google is your friend. http://www.pcworld.com/article/2988539/windows/if-you-forget-your-windows-admin-password-try-this.html

!?!?! I did not know this. Good news. I'll go check it out right now.
-
@taniwha I loaded this up in Pre1.2, and while it gives a 'warning' that the mod is not compatible, it does work. Thankfully.
-
Your best bet for maps is SCANsat and generate them yourself.
-
Still more news as of today on this issue. @pxi, seems you'll possibly get your wish here. This could mark the start of a future trend.
-
If you do, then you'll really need that coat hanger loop.
-
Well, the name (domain) is held (on hold) by GoDaddy. I have the owner / registrant's information (WhoIS). Looks like the site was taken down on purpose... like maybe some manner of legal action.

How did you manage to keep a v0.9 save going? There were so many save-breaking updates, some of which the save files were allegedly completely incompatible. There was only one which I managed to work (edit my way through), and that was the move from v0.24.2 to v0.25.0 ... and at that, it was a pain in the butt and I ended up rebuilding much of everything.
-
You're obviously inspired by the game, so I wouldn't say 'take a break for a while'. I won't say 'git gud' either, but I will say strive to 'get better'. Try building better rockets. Examine the concepts demonstrated by those Preset Space Ships, examine the concepts demonstrated in the builds of others that you see in videos and in images shared here on the forums ... and then start your own experiments, tests, and trials. To coin a phrase - "small steps". You'll get there.

RND Removability?
LordFerret replied to DunaManiac's topic in KSP1 C# Plugin Development Help and Support
Yea, sorry but... read it, tried to look into it... was like what the ??? So. Yes, this. More commonly, that's written "R&D". From the KSP stock game... yes. It's called "Sandbox" mode. -
RND Removability?
LordFerret replied to DunaManiac's topic in KSP1 C# Plugin Development Help and Support
Oh, you mean "Kerbin-Side". Helps when you put the correct spelling. Even better if you'd have put the link. :/ Now, being I'm not about to read through 96 pages to find out what this "RND" is, maybe you could tell us and explain? Or maybe your question would be better asked in the actual thread itself? -
I save the game install zip files, and all the screenshots. That's it. I probably should have saved the mods I used too, just for posterity, but as of yet I've never gone back to an old install to play it again. Before starting a new version, all Kerbals in the current version are brought home (leave no man behind)... unless the saved game is compatible with the new version, which is almost never. As for ships and buggies and such, that's all stored in my head.

'No Man's Sky' is under official fire for false advertising; Hello Games and Valve may be charged with series sanctions I was wondering when it would come to this, especially having seen so much backlash online about the game's release. That said, I also can't help but wonder if KSP is skating this same thin ice, what with it's less than stellar v1.0 roll-out and console state. I also think Steam is overdue for a good flogging as well. Their past actions have been nothing short of criminal.

LOLZ!!!

I still have this!, along with all the maps and such for the Day Of Defeat mod ... with Sturmbots. Somewhere in the archives, I've also got the original Doom and Wolfenstein.
