Just woke up and read here about 1.0.5 so I went on and made a backup of my 1.0.4 install before I manage to destroy something by launching Steam and auto update does its job.

after some time off from the game today I tried to rescue my 3-kerbal crew that was stuck on Duna. And I failed. Twice. First ship that I had sent crashed after I landed it on a steep slope and it topled down and exploded. On 2nd one I used too much fuel to get into orbit and I didn't have enough dV to de-orbit to try and land on Duna.
-
Last night I arrived at Jool for the first time Sadly, I have put myself in retrograde orbit and now I haven't got enough dV to visit Jool's moons.
-
I took few days of flying because I just can't think of what to do until Jool probe arrives at its destination, and it feels inefficient to just time-warp to that day. I had few deep space manned missions planned, but accident at Duna changed all that as I don't want to send yet another crew out on the mission and postpone using life support mods even more. So I have to wait for time to rescue guys and girls on Duna first.

Spacex conducted a static fire test of improved Falcon 9 1st stage

Today I have landed on Eve and Gilly for the first time ever, though both have been done without Kerbals onboard. Next on the menu is another first: entering Jool SOI with Jool-1 probe

she runs a youtube channel where she talks about history of space exploration in few minutes long videos. Usually some interesting bits and bobs from early NASA programs like Gemini and Apollo that are not that known in the public as those that are mentioned everywhere. She also mentions KSP in few of her videos and lots of comments asked for her to play KSP so she made the video where she plays it.

haven't been here on forums or played KSP for a few days and then I see this on my come back IVA looks good on previews, I'll leave more impressions when I try it.

Jeb, Bill and Kertina returned to Kerbin SOI after their partially successful mission to Duna and completed their capture burn with ease. Then Agay took one of Rodan capsules and went on to orbit to get those 3 back home. After they were safely back at KSC Gene sent a command to probe on their transfer vehicle which activated engines for one last time to de-orbit the craft. I have also decided to change design of current space station to make it much smaller. It will remain in use for quite some time, especially for testing of TAC LS when I install it, but I will build new larger one. I have installed Fustek station parts and Tantares and there are so much more parts to use for stations that I just had to start from scratch. One thing that helped my decision was that I have received a station contract in Kerbin's orbit, so there. Still, it won't be built until crafts sent to Eve and Jool get there and crew is rescued from Duna

Quite a productive day today, though spoiled a bit with a disaster at the end. First I launched one extension to my station, adding on a radiator truss together with 2 always open solar panels. After that first crew launched to the station and when they came engineer managed to finally deploy that one solar panel that was stuck closed. Next up were some atmospheric scans for which I designed a jet in about 5 minutes and which came out as most stable plane that I have ever made in KSP Then Duna operations started. First up was rover destined to land on Ike. It was a success and it gathered quite a bit of science in few minutes until it ran out of power. It was in sunlight though so it was left to recharge its batteries. Last today was first crewed landing on Duna. Aerocapture, orbit circularization, de-orbit burn and lending went almost flawlessly so Valentina and two white-suites became my first ever Kerbals to land on another body with atmosphere. It was all going too good up to here so something just had to go bad. When I went in map mode to timewarp so that transfer vehicle left in orbit was in its optimal position I heard some explosions. When I returned from map mode this was what greeted me So yes, I now have 3 Kerbals stranded on Duna and my plans to finally instal TAC LS mod will have to wait a bit more until I am able to rescue them. I am actually really tempted to just edit persistent file to transfer those 3 and science they gathered to a vehicle that is in Duna's orbit and then wait for transfer window to return them home. I mean, I had enough dV to return to orbit (about 1800 m/s) so that wouldn't really be a problem. Problem is that I do not know how to make those edits correctly. Oh, and somewhere between that jet mission and Duna landing I did instal EVE because I wanted to have some clouds here and there

thanks, that release is just in time as my first crew went on to the station and will need supplies soon Good luck in school

3rd time's a charm right? Today I have launched 3rd surface station that will try to go to Eve. First 2 were eaten by Kraken just a bit before they arrived. For this time I did a complete re-design of that said base which resulted in much more compact, lighter and simpler design. I removed all scientific equipment that was on there to fulfill another contract (explore Eve) and that equipment was launched on separate small probe. This re-design also resulted in much smaller launch vehicle (previous version for comparison). Base will remain inside fairings until it enters Eve's atmosphere

Looks great

this was technically last night: Jeb, Bill and Kertina made their burn towards home from Duna and just about a week later Valentina and two white-suites left Kerbin behind and went on their way to Duna.

Duna Transfer Craft v2 was fueled by 2 cargo vehicles and then crew came up on their vehicle which will be used to land on Duna, come back to meet with DTCv2 and then land on Kerbin.

today I launched my first craft after PC upgrade and I just left it in orbit and used it as a screensaver for about 10 minutes. Game finally runs smoothly in my monitors native resolution (1600x900) on good details and with shadows.

both cargo Dragon and Rodan IVA look fantastic. PS: Have you thought of a name for cargo Dragon?

Oops my bad. I got 4x2GB, not 2x4

I upgraded my old PC a bit. 2 weeks ago I got 4x2GB DDR2 800MHz RAM for 42$ in place of 2x1GB DDR2 667MHz Today I got XFX AMD Radeon HD 7850 Core Edition 1GB graphics card from a friend who got better one for himself (I paid him ~60$) instead of my AMD Radeon HD 5450 1GB About half an hour after I put new GFX card in and configured everything as I like mailsman came to my house bringing me new CPU. I got used Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz in place of my old Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz. I paid this one 9£ At the moment I can't afford new gaming PC so I decided to upgrade what I can without need for new MBO or PSU. I might still get new HDD as current one is only 250GB drive and it is just too small.

Mk3 Expansion - [KSP 1.12x] Version 1.6 [10/5/21]
Cuky replied to SuicidalInsanity's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Woah, thanks. I just had a bit different looking part on my mind. Maybe this illustration helps to clarify what I meant: Black is standard Mk3 shape, Red is that extention to flatten the bottom and to add flat surface lower on the side to attach wings. I know drawing is not really good, I used MS Paint because I still haven't reinstalled my PS after I reinstalled Windows on my PC- 862 replies

Mk3 Expansion - [KSP 1.12x] Version 1.6 [10/5/21]

Is it possible to add some side blisters that would flatten the bottom of Mk3 shape, so that we can create proper space shuttle replica where wings are flush with belly?- 862 replies

Not much today. Kraken ate jet another of my Eve-bound vehicles and it was again just before SOI change. It split my base in two and both parts were well outside Eeloo's orbit with NaN for speed. I think I will redesign whole base for next try, make it much simpler so maybe then there won't be any problems. After that loss I have launched a satellite for a contract in retrograde equatorial orbit around Kerbin. Last but not least: this morning I designed and proceeded with testing for a rover that will be sent to Ike in the same transfer window when crew sets of to Duna. On launch pad I tested its delivery system that will land it on the surface of Ike:
