  1. The orbits were actually traced off a map view of my first 3 permanent satellites in KSP.
  2. +1 for merlinux. I agree. Even Mercury had guidance in the missile and a sequencer in the capsule.
  3. Win7 64bit 6gb 1Gb (http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-550ti/specifications) Thanks! It's BilBo Spacedock, a refueling and science station in orbit around the Mun and named in memory of Bill and Bob Kerman who were lost in an unfortunate gardening accident.
  4. If you do preassemble in the vab, be sure to take it to the pad to inspect it. Otherwise you may get unexpected results when physics are applied.
  5. 1 right click gear in vab and click retract. 2 move the camera moar, I didn't ACTUALLY vomit.... :-D
  6. I'm guessing you don't know about action groups. You can assign the number keys 1-0 to do various things. Landing gear, lights, and abort are simply "special, auto-assigned" action groups. In the VAB or SPH click the middle blue tab at the top, then click the part you want to assign (in this case, the solar panel). Now click the "group 1" in the left column, and "toggle panel" (or similar) in the right column. Once you launch, pressing "1" will extend the panels. Experiment with different parts, there are a lot of functions that can be assigned that way.
  7. Still there... Original was 4096px - 3999px and using 0.0.3 on "Kerbal Space Program - 0.24.2.559 (WindowsPlayer)"
  8. An old stand alone device was called a color organ. The trippy stuff a media player shows you is called a visualization. Vintage Color Organ - Music Visualizer App:
  9. My normal launch process is SAS on, throttle up, space bar to start engines, 3-2-1, space bar to release clamps, click MechJeb surface engage to roll 90 degrees, then engage ascent autopilot once the roll stabilized. It would be nice if the ascent ap could set a roll as desired. Maybe a check box like the orbital Smart A.S.S. has. Is it possible/ have I missed it/ is this a good idea?
  10. That's been my thought too, but I'll add the mercury, which I see as the mk1 archetype, did have a "sequencer".
  11. No worries! Thanks for all the cool ships you have done!!
  12. I don't know *why* you've elected to ignore my question, but I get the message.
  13. I'd make a case for the Jupiter II from lost in space, I think it has Kerbalesque proportions, and the IVA would be a hoot!
  14. Recent experience with another plugin leads me to recommend that the folder name "WarpPlugin" be changed (I used "WarpPlugin-Partial") if only the internals are going to be used. My experience was that if the original name is used, but the content isn't there, it can cause trouble *if* yet another mod assumes absent resources inside that folder are available. Bottom line, rename the folder, of you might end up with a hard as **** to find bug sometime in the future.
  15. Although my preliminary attempts eventually tried tilting my inclination at Kerbin to get above or below the Mun, the preceding answer is really the best I think! Thanks!
  16. Back in the day, I played a lot of a game called f15 strike eagle. It had lots of can angles. The ones we have now, plus flyby (random view point ahead and to one side of the flight path) and view yourself looking toward your target, and view your target looking toward yourself. Just food for thought. The demo looked awesome!!
  17. All interesting replies, thank you. FWIW the station is indeed riding the terminator so it's always in daylight.
  18. Am I making this up or was/is there a texture pack out there to make KW Rocketry's engine fairings striped (or maybe it was checkered). I'd swear I've seen such a thing, but I can't seem to find it anywhere (Google got me nowhere)
  19. So I'm building a station in Munar orbit. The wrinkle is that it's in a polar orbit (inc 90) and I am trying to puzzle out how to time my departure from LKO so that when I arrive I am close to being aligned with the orbital plane of my station. Getting to the Mun - easy. Getting into a Munar orbit with an inclination of 90 degrees - easy. Not having to spend a bazillion m/s Dv to match planes with my station - that's the real trick. I'll continue to experiment and puzzle over it, but in the mean time I know some of you are orbit wizards and might have a few tips... TIA BEST ANSWER HERE
  20. Oh? 22999 is a magic number then? That might explain a few things, I'll have to adjust me reentry profile for this a test it out. Thanks!
