  1. We might be able to ask a mod like @sal_vager to maybe change the link on the OP to instead say check the end of the thread. That would avoid people downloading the oldest version with all it's issues. Quite a few of us are using it, I have the same version in my game because I work on it, compress it and then put it in my game to test, if it's good I upload it. Not all, and probably less parts than previously are covered, but it is better organised and doesn't have the gotcha of the MM dll to trip people up, I am not sure what is going wrong with yours.
  2. If you have a .gif extension on the url add it like any other image, otherwise add it like a youtube video but it takes lengths of whitespace, so to be nice I would wait till gfycat lets you link the .gif

  4. Slowly the assets for a little video are coming together, cleaned up the mechanism on the tanker and built an F-4 to fly escort Edit: Can't seem to get BurnTogether to work properly, is it because the craft are so dissimilar?

  6. I built myself a custom cockpit, it's not brilliant but it will do, so presenting my fully stock KC-135 Stratotanker with deployable refuelling boom

I had a strange anomaly using this mod, appeared and disappeared with installation, could be an interaction problem with my other mods, I'm using 64bit Linux OpenGL, mods I could think of that might affect it, Windowshine, scatterer, it only appeared in the flight screen, it looks like a little battery in the left top quarter, you could even get it to highlight.
  8. I have been updating the configs and masks, the plugin itself runs fine in 1.05, if you download from the link in the post two above yours it covers most of the parts, I am adding more and fixing masks as I go, but it's a big job and I have a life.

Currently I am using a KAX cockpit for this as it was half and half engineering and checking out a biggish plane replica that wasn't just MK3 parts, because not many jets actually have flat sides (I know right, weird), you may have seen it's predecessor on reddit, where it had a static extended boom (be careful taking off), this has a stock moving boom making take-off's much easier. Take-off speed with flaps is around 80ms, I keep dialling back the engines because Real Plume insists on them having annoying little flames shooting out. I am looking at a stock cockpit build but only if I can make something that doesn't look like the cat dragged it in, chewed on it and then peed on it.

Mostly with Spider engines, several on each wheel and a strut between wheels opposite, thats what I copied off @RevanCorana anyway, the argument rages about who invented, don't go there, @Vagani did something similar earlier. @Azimech struts wheels together on a side. The other important bit is not flipping, and the lighter it is the easier it is to flip, to reduce the occurrence of this put a jet engine in it with the nozzle facing up, there is no need to run it, just having it there puts the CG well below the ground making it much harder to flip.
  12. I've had craft that crashed my game when I activated something. Sometimes you have to go back and do it over to get a clean craft file.

  14. It sucks when real intrudes on KSP, that's why I haven't done another, with KerbPaint, my own mod and SCF I wouldn't be playing at all for most of the week.
  15. MK2 of the SR-71A, getting more accurate, can't quite reach the real operating altitude and speed, though its faster 6km lower and this flies really well compared to the first one.

I just had an itch about that mk1 cockpit, I had suggested it to others, but no one wanted to try it, the build came together so well. 68 parts only, sustained Mach 4.5. at 10km+ Edit: This version has been superseded already, smoothed out the front to better mimic the SR-71, couple more parts and a second seat.

The config files were such a mess, I am about 50% of the way through them, making headway, the end result should be a mix between parts that worked before not working and parts that didn't work working. My main aim is to cover off all the stuff you tend to build and cover the outside of your craft with, and also provide a sane config file ordering system so we don't end up like before with the same part covered by three configs! Even if someone else comes along after me and adds stuff it should at least go in the right place and not conflict with other configs.

There is no new version, I have been updating the configs and starting to work on the masks, if you go to the end of the thread you can find a download, I am doing a lot of updating so keep watching. Also you should get the editor extensions mod and the no offset limits mod, these will allow you to reduce those part counts way down and be more precise in your positioning, none of us work without them.
