  2. Hi all. So I'm using 8 ion engines to push my tug along but I've noticed something I can't understand. I've plenty of electric charge. I create a manouver node with a dv of say 315. When I start my burn I actually use nearly 1000dv? This only happens using the ions. Why is this? Thankyou in advance
  3. After a failed attempt at the Jool 5 challenge (however failure has taught me a lot) I'm working on a new way of staging/placing my landers. I tried an idea only to find under testing it was never going to work (thought my idea looked a little silly) so tonight I'm going to stack them in disposable containers in a straight stack. This will work I believe if I first get an encounter with Tylo which I know isn't too difficult (providing I don't do what I did last time and end up in orbit in the wrong direction) love this mental game!

  6. I am truly saddened by the way some people are about this DLC. Its very simple....no wanty - no buyey. As for the "deadline" so what? A gets for free but B has to pay? And? Welcome to the world we call REAL LIFE. I'm actually in the B catagory yet you won't find me crying about it.... ... I'll pay IF I want too - my KSP experience won't change if I don't want the extra content. I will more than likely pay as it's helping the geniuses who are continuing with this great game. Enough said from me I think. ....
  7. Either dock manually or use Navy fish's docking mod....problem over...never used mechjeb and never will, not to say it's bad but I prefer more hands on control
  8. Mmmm....Hard to know where I am but I'll try to make this quick. Got my Jool 5 landers and the transfer /mobility sections of this challenge docked together at 85km LKO. I've set up a transfer window requiring 1980dV but only have 1500ish available yet I can transfer 720dV from my return home module which would mean I can't get home.... ...however I do have a very strong ION engine/xenon based module which should be /last long enough to get me home if the J5 goes according to plan with my landers..... ....not even left LKO and problems arise....I love KSP so much ....
  9. I believe the Dark multi player mod (or another multi player mod, I forget the name) allows you to make friends and play with other people. I'll check. Try this.....
  10. KSP gives so much pleasure to so many Congratulations on your station....and I learned about the Klaw...never used it before but will now....so much learning everyday in this game

  12. I COMPLETELY messed up....that's what I did today A few days ago I put in orbit my Jool 5 landers complete with a return home module....everything was great. However..... ....today I launched and put into orbit the second and final part of my craft and attempted to dock with the lander module, ready to go to the Jool system but I made one massive error.... ....to get close enough to dock I didn't realise I was dipping Into the atmosphere hence I started falling back to Kerbin.... Moral of this story is don't get to 70km and think your OK if you plan to send another vessel up and dock...try 80 to 100 km. ... A schoolboy error but this is KSP
  13. So.....I've put my Jool 5 landers and command pod with return capabilities weighing 42 tonnes total into LKO. Tested a new design/way of playing, Ion engine setup with xenon gas and by alt 12ing to Jool orbit. Let's just say after testing I've too much fuel left over.....time to reduce the fuel I'm taking......NEVER thought I'd say that playing this crazy game
  14. And I type now with a huge smile on my boat race... if you like boxing check out the fight....if your a highlight head watch rounds 5,6 and 11 ;) this fight was as close to Rocky as I've ever seen in the real world... 2 brilliant boxers
  15. Joshua is a beast....18 fights 18 knockouts....problem is he's had 44 professional rounds compared to klitschkos 360 odd....this will be a true fairytale of the young buck and the master veteran. .. Can't wait...heck I'm not even playing ksp tonight !
  16. With no side effects then yes however no such drug exists. To take this drug though would imo mean you've given up in which case euthanasia is the following step. I'll stick to aspirin for now.....

So as an English man I want the mighty AJ to win but this fight is not without a risk to him .. klitschko is a master but hasn't fought for 17 months....joshua has a deadly right hand with speed to match but has nowhere near the experience of klitschko. Your thoughts on this epic fight which starts in about 5 hours....
  19. As the title said I tried it. No issues getting into orbit yet the whole experience was as flat as a pancake for me. I'm not sure why it seemed flat as it looked great but I did miss my Kerbals. Anyone else felt this way?
  20. I do the same...check after I undock. It would be great if I could see "this landers stages and that landers stages" as separate entities whilst building though, not a mish-mash I have to get my head around. It's hard enough building these creations let alone decipher whats going on when X meets Y That's what I've done..built 3 working and tested landers then stick them all together and I have no idea where to start untangling the mess I'm presented with!
  21. Hi all. So Im getting on with my Jool 5 challenge and have built my 3 landers. Im working on putting them on a tug yet when I place them where I want them the stages get all messed up. The picture shows my 3 landers on a platform (probably not what I will use but in testing phase at the moment) so my question is is there anyway I can keep my individual lander stages neat and tidy in their own little "spaces" or do I just have to use the [] keys to choose which lander I want when I want it? I hope someone understands what im on about
  22. Ok. I kinda feel your pain yet none of this happens to me. I'm running ksp on windows 7 laptop with 8gb ram and a nvidia 512mb graphics card and 2.8ghz cpu. What are your computer specs? Knowing them could help a little for others to ease your pain.

Having used everything from my first computer, a ZX81 right through Amiga, Atari ST, PS, Xbox, PC and many consoles/computers in between KSP is the most addictively brilliant game, so much so that at least 10 times through my working day I come up with another tweak to an existing craft or a new "ahh! That's a good idea". 50% of the time it works and 50 it doesn't but the one thing KSP has is just that....the return to game and try again value and when it succeeds BOOM!!....a feeling that spurs me further on in this endless game. It's took nearly 44 years of my life to find something so good that it's part of my life and forever will be even if all the updates were to stop now. So, as many, many have said before me, thankyou Squad for giving me something I will enjoy till I meet my maker
