  1. I would love this to work with 1.2.2 Ive installed it and I only have the pods, ion engine and fuel tanks but if it doesnt get updated Im happy with that
  2. Have you the latest graphic card drivers for your machine? I've seen posts like this before and it was a driver issue. Hope this helps you
  3. I've learnt that when you start it's hard.....very hard to just do what you want, ie. Build a rocket, land on the moon and build a Base. .....on your first design! The one piece of advice I could give anyone about KSP is in this 3 part formula : 1...try. If your rocket fails and crashes within 10 seconds then welcome to the "we've all been there club" 2...research. This forum has been and still is the best wealth of information about KSP. Youtube is also a great place to learn. 3...goto 1. Now armed with a little more knowledge simply try again. After 2 years of playing I still use this formula as there still is so much yet to do In KSP! What I'm saying is never give up if things don't seem to work for you when you first set out in this stunningly addictive game....practice makes perfect and failure in KSP is as normal as breathing the air around you
  4. Just watched it with my son in IMAX 3D and loved it. For us it worked well to bring you into A New Hope. A must watch imo
  5. Thanks! Looking forward to trying this overy the weekend
  6. Can't download. Just get lots of text on screen?
  7. I personally don't think KSP will ever die. I still get excited when I boot it up 2 years after first playing
  8. I love theway it makes you think....after all, how are we to know.....
  9. ...when I'm 43 years of age and cannot walk up to automatic opening doors and use the force.....drives my wife crazy at me
  10. Here's something you may or may not find interesting about where some English slang originated..... The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be. Here are some facts about the 1500s: Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and they still smelled pretty good by June.. However, since they were starting to smell . ...... . Brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting Married. Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it.. Hence the saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the Bath water!" Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof... Hence the saying "It's raining cats and dogs." There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That's how canopy beds came into existence. The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt. Hence the saying, "Dirt poor." The wealthy had slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet, so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until, when you opened the door, it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entrance-way. Hence: a thresh hold. In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire.. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme: Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot nine days old. Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could, "bring home the bacon." They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around and chew the fat. Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous. Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or the upper crust. Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would Sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial.. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a wake. England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a bone-house, and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive... So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the graveyard shift.) to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be, saved by the bell or was considered a dead ringer. And that's the truth....Now, whoever said History was boring? Hope you found it even slightly Interesting
  11. Agreed, recovery missions would be grim and not for me however I do believe that other players may use a mod like that for moar realism. I am at this very moment having a pint in honour of Val. She will be missed....but there is work to be done..... Wow....what a brilliantly conjured mental image I have reading your story.....I would like more please...outstanding
  12. Hi there all. So, those of you that have read my posts about career mode in the past will know that I didnt like it at all. However, I've been in my first proper career mode for a week or 2 now and love it, but I am (suprisingly so) very sad as I lost Valentina today....... She was trying to deploy a satellite using the payload bays for the first time. There was a slight collision on deployment and well........the rest was horrifying. Im sat here at my laptop, unable to help or revert and I really found it upsetting!! Ive read posts about people losing Kerbals before and, TBH, thought they were crazy....its just a game, yet today I feel their pain......what a mentaly brilliant game this is RIP Val.....Im gutted I failed you
  13. I've got 2 ideas for this.....one "has" been done but my idea takes it a stage further and MUCH harder to do. My other idea, as far as my last hour searching the Internet proved, has never been done....and it's this one I think will be very hard to achieve but fun none the less. Tonight I start with my quests and hopefully by the weekend (wife permitting ) I'll have something achieved. ....
  14. Oops.....silly me thankyou for pointing the obvious out to me
  15. Well, just installed this mod and it loops fantastic ! I don't seen to have scatterer bundled or SVE but it's no biggy.....Can't wait to start exploring

  18. Thankyou to @Badie for making my idea not only work but improved it! I've enjoyed looking at all your pictures and an early congratulations to the winners and everyone who took part. I unfortunately couldn't enter due to lack of time with family commitments which is a shame as it really want a plushie however there will be more competitions Well done all......
  19. Like that time to have some thought on this.......
  20. Looking forward to seeing some pictures and thankyou @Badie for liking my idea
  21. For me KSP is never ending. For example. I've only just after 2 years of playing sandbox started, continued and enjoying career mode. With the constraints put on me I've seen that my designs are much better than ever before! I love building stuff anyway but career has eeked out better designs from me. As for inspiration, that's simple.... space and the not knowing what's out there so let's go and see
  22. Moving away from the whole text thing that is now so pointless and boring I must say this patch seems to have improved the smoothness of KSP on my machine. I doubtit has and it could be in my mind but it seems to have. Also, most ofthe mods I use have been updated so me is a happy boy
  23. I'll stick with 1.2 for a while
