Many of the best players early on in KSP 1 days were intensively math-oriented. And so many forum users were happy to try and explain the math to newbies. I learned how to calculate my dV and did the math regularly. Back in the day Kerbal Engineer had trouble calculating dV for a number of configurations. User @OhioBob knows an immense amount of orbital mechanic math and contributed deeply to my understanding of Oberth effect and I learned all about gateway orbits. It's no exaggeration to say that there were a lot of math geeks attracted to this game, especially in the early days. It was quite common to see algebra in forum discussions. Happy landings!

ShadowZone - What Kerbal Space Program 2 HAS TO Avoid
Starhawk replied to TROPtastic's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Yes it is, unless you are implying that everyone owns a beast of a computer. I don't think this is correct. I'm fairly sure that psychology and the orbital mechanics learning curve are the large factors keeping the majority of players from leaving Kerbin. Happy landings! -

There are lots of places on the internet to bicker with others. This is not one of them. Despite the cultural pressure to behave otherwise, those people who hold differing opinions or those who lay out different lines of reasoning are not your enemies. Reasoned discussion is why these forums exist. If you find yourself becoming so upset that you want to attack another member please refrain from posting. If something seems like a personal attack on you, please report the post and move on. Do not respond. Some content removed. Thank you for your understanding, KSP2 Moderation Team

Hello @Astr0Guy5 and welcome to the KSP Forums! The forum is, of course, abuzz with discussion of the upcoming release into EA. Glad to have you aboard. I hope you enjoy this forum as much as I have. Happy landings!

To the best of my knowledge this is completely not the case. My understanding is that KSP2 has been built from the ground up. Happy landings!

This thread has gone grievously off course. This is not the Gripe Train thread. If you have complaints about how the marketing for the game is being handled or how graphical elements look in promotional materials, go find or create a thread to post about that. This is not the place. This is not the Snipe Train thread. There is no place on this forum for bickering, personal remarks, or animosity. Certainly not in this thread. This thread is for expressing hope and excitement about KSP2. If you have other things to discuss or other sentiments to share please do so in other threads. I actually did laugh out loud at this one. I can't bring myself to start KSP now. I think of the QoL improvements that I expect to see in KSP2 and decide I'll just wait. Happy landings!

Some time ago it was a running joke around here that KSP doesn't really have a learning curve. It's more of a learning wall. Happy landings!
-
Yes. Drawers/cupboards and also on sticky notes. Happy landings!

That rocks! Very nicely done. Happy landings!
