Well, here it is, only 3 hours later than it's planned release time. For this week, I've selected five outstanding craft to be specially featured for all to see. For the sake of fairness, I have not chosen more than one craft from any specific creator. Also, I regret to say that due to time constraints, I have been unable to test any of these craft. Alright, enough formalities, let's get on to the list. {AMRSD} High-roller 45m/s 100MPH mega truck by Mad Rocket Scientist http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/134607-AMRSD-High-roller-45m-s-100MPH-mega-truck Our friendly neighborhood Mad Rocket Scientist has done it again, with this behemoth (Is it even small enough to be called a truck?) vehicle. It's been rated at 45 m/s and makes quite an impressive sight with its gargantuan wheels. Well done, MRS, let me tell you, it was tough bumping this down to #5. 'Inexorable'- a pint sized Star Destroyer by FlipNascar http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/134238-Inexorable-a-pint-sized-Star-Destroyer FlipNascar has given us his tiny take on one of the most iconic spaceships. This tiny ion powered Star Destroyer can take you just about anywhere. It's so small, you can squeeze it in a Mk3 Cargo Bay! Head on over to his thread and pound FlipNascar with suggestions for other ship names that begin with "I" Crapahoola Synthesizer by Azimech http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/134581-Crapahoola-Synthesizer-The-first-musical-instrument-made-inside-KSP We've seen boats, cars, zeppelins, and even houses in KSP, but Azimech has built for us what appears to be the very first musical instrument in KSP. It requires the Rover Wheel Sounds Mod, but it's still an amazing piece of work. Well done, you make me feel even more inept with this masterpiece! WWII Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a "Schwalbe by Columbia http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/134403-WWII-Messerschmitt-Me-262-A-1a-Schwalbe Ah, the Me-262, the world's first operational jet fighter, and one of the hardest craft to replicate in KSP. Columbia here has managed to create the most accurate looking Me-262 I've seen, and he even plans to add rockets and bombs to it! It was a remarkably hard decision between this and our #1 craft. Gear Engine Thingy by Redshift OTF http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/134210-Gear-engine-thingy The moment I laid eyes on this monstrosity, I was completely blown away. The idea of KSP's part system was to avoid all the delicate engineering work, but Redshift OTF has insisted on doing delicate engineering work himself! This craft doesn't appear practical in any way, but it is simply amazing. Go check out the thread for this thing and give him some well earned rep! Before I wrap this up (it's taken me nearly an hour to write this much), I would like to share a few Honorable Mentions. These craft were taken into consideration but didn't quite make the final cut. They don't appear to be bad craft by any means, so I want to give them a small shoutout: Realism Overhaul low tech Aircraft by Randazzo Some spiffy planes made for use in Realism Overhaul Elara Shuttle by jumpzakjump This is a cool looking SSTO (I think) that looks just like a Space Shuttle Orbiter ALRM1 by Azimech This is a car/boat/plane that can drive or sail all around Kerbin thanks to its mining equipment. This didn't get in the list because another of Azimech's craft was already #3. I hope you guys like my selections for this week. I also hope that you can forgive me for being so ridiculously late in uploading this. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to actually play some games instead of writing about people's achievements in a game! Enjoy!

Well, I hate myself a little bit for being so late, but I have some good news, I'm on my way home, SCF will be up by 8:30 at the latest. I would say 8:00, but I don't want to make another estimate and have to move it back again. I've found some more craft, so I now have a list of about seven candidates. I'm starting to rank them by how well I like each one. Remember, folks, this is just my opinion and by no means a definite or official rating.

Yeah, I remember hearing something about posts being eligible if a comment had been made in them within the week, and I've seen those, but I was talking about some threads that were posted at the beginning of the week but haven't had any posts in them since maybe Monday or Tuesday, and are at the bottom of the front page or on to the second page. Those can be easy to miss, and I want to make sure I get a chance to see every craft posted this week.

totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread
pTrevTrevs replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Oh dear... With the recent events in the news regarding the construction of a homemade clock... No, I shouldn't talk about that, it isn't funny... But it's relevant... But it's also disrespectful... But it would be clever... The he thoughts that go on in my head only worry me sometimes. That's a nice clock, can't wait to see it finished! -
'Inexorable' - a pint-sized Star Destroyer
pTrevTrevs replied to FlipNascar's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Indomitable, Interceptor, Immortal, Inglorious, Insatiable. There, now go do it with ten, you weenie. -
You see, I've got a sort of World War I tanks project (currently on backburner because of Spacecraft Friday and U-Boat). One of the tanks I plan to build is the Russian Tsar Tank (http://www.oddlyhistorical.com/2015/03/29/russias-three-wheeled-death-machine-tsar-tank/), and the stock rover wheels are waaaaayyy too small. This Mega Wheel design might be perfect for it!

Nice! Can't go wrong with shuttle-like SSTOs!

Sorry guys, I'm going to be postponed for a few hours, family wants to go out to eat. I'll see if I can get it out by 7:00, but I can't make any promises. EDIT: I suppose I had better at least give a quick status update to make up for being late. I've got five potential selections so far, I would really like more, so if you know of a thread I probably missed (Maybe something that was posted on Sunday/Monday and is way down at the bottom of the page) be sure to send me the link to it so I can check it out. If I can get more, I'm going to list the top five craft, as well as two honorable mentions. If I can't find any more candidates, I might have to pick a top three and two honorable mentions or just do a top five and forgo Honorable Mentions entirely. Another thing to know, I won't be listing two craft by the same builder in the top five/three list.

Sisyphus - Industrial Class E Hauling
pTrevTrevs replied to SlithyTove's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Mein Gott, it's huge!!! I've never tried to capture an asteroid before, but this makes me want to try it. I'll probably take the weenie route and wrangle a puny little Class A though. -
Realism Overhaul Low tech aircraft
pTrevTrevs replied to Randazzo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Nice! I've never played RO myself, but I love to see small civilian-like aircraft in KSP. -
Mongoose 1 interplanetary manned probe
pTrevTrevs replied to transitbiker's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
But... If it's manned, is it really a probe? -
Wow! Very nice, I will have to try this out myself sometime!

In case anybody needs to know for last minute releases and such, I will attempt to release this week's SCF at 5:00pm, US Central Time Zone, tomorrow. It may be later than that depending on how much work I end up with tomorrow afternoon, but I promise it won't be before 5:00pm. Also, if there's a particular craft that anybody wants me to see that I may not have seen, let me know. I want to make sure everybody gets a fair chance.

[1.4.X] Taerobee - Stockalike X-1 and More [27/01/2017]
pTrevTrevs replied to Beale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yeah, is there any chance of getting alternative jet engines in this pack? The two we have in stock are too big and don't work well for building 1940s/1950s jet fighters. -
Wow, this is the first Me-262 I've seen that looks so close to the real one! Those fairings may look ugly as hell, but they sure are useful tools for replicas! A useful note about the armament: Hitler was still pushing for a renewed Blitz on England even in 1944, so when the idea of the Me-262 was pitched to him, the first thing he asked was "Can it carry bombs?". He ordered the aircraft into production as a fighter bomber until the Arado Ar 234 was also pitched to him. After some persuasion, he allowed one Me-262 to enter service as a fighter for every two Ar-234s to enter service. So I think bombs would be the most realistic armament for this plane. I think I read this in a book I have at home, I'll check later today if you want a source.

My sub weighs 72 tons. If I can remove any unnecessary fuel, I can possibly cut it down to 60-ish tons. At that weight, I would need 36 turbojets to push it underwater, assuming there aren't any parts on it with unnaturally high buoyancy. I could probably make 4 clusters of 8 turbojets fairly easily, but that only comes up to 32. If I could manage to get it down to 50 tons though, I can use 32 turbos and possibly have it dive a little faster than 5 m/s... On the bright side, using a calculator, pen, and paper to play a video game makes me feel smarter than I probably actually am! Squad, please do us all a favor and make Better Buoyancy stock.
