Millions of space stations, maybe? I think that is our only hope of surviving what essentially is a blank vacuum. By this time, we will probably be able to recycle most air, water, waste, etc (probably via filters). GMO food will absolutely have to be the only food eaten, unless we can keep breeding animals endlessly. Electricity will have to be created by muscle power, by electric rotors that power themselves via the generator they spin, or maybe by some kind of synthetic organic material.

1415. Frantic, you suddenly try to use the stairs to descend.

0/10, whoever says that the word is more powerful than the sword has never faced a modern weapon.

1413: Finally, you are at the penthouse. You stand at the edge, taking in the dizzying height below you. You take a breath, and your life flashes before your eyes as you jump into the abyss below.

You're on cloudynights? What's your name there?

I was in Haliburton with them, a week ago- they outdid themselves. I saw a bunch of Messier object, some of which were crystal clear. M31 looked fabulous in them. Mars and Saturn formed a nice triangle with Antares. Overall, the best (and first) true stargazing experience I ever had, and I conducted it by myself. Anyway, stuff happened (birthday?), and I got an Orion SkyQuest XT8 dobsonian reflector telescope, with Plossl 25mm and 9mm eyepieces. So how's that for stargazing? What can I see with this? Any specs?

Most original damn challenge I have ever seen.

The one and only, the true fighter is finally out on this thread! Best MiG-21 replica I have seen here to date.
-
Ah, "Best-Germany", good call. How did you get them? Are there any clusters that appear in the northern hemisphere at summer?
-
How long? I might be trying this.
-
How about larger objects, such as the Andromeda or Triangulum galaxies? Would I, for example, be able to make out their halos?

First, there was god. Then, the god created the universe and all of kerbalkind (etc, etc). Almost instantly, a small rocket went to the edge of the atmosphere, another rocket reached orbit, another rocket went to the moon, ten more rockets sent probes all over the inner planets, Kerbals started their first colonization flight to Duna, etc, all in consecutive order, one after the other. Within a day, there were manned and unmanned flights heading towards every destination in the Kerbol system. "Dammit", said god, "I thought I removed the revert flight function, and made time move in editors."

Starting KSP, then wondering what you're doing and turning on Orbiter instead.

Letting the ISS burn up......Why?
Matuchkin replied to Vaporized Steel's topic in Science & Spaceflight
"It's not that we don't respect the ISS as a monument, or want to cut its service short. We just want to get back at Esperance, Australia, for the fine we were given for Skylab." "You know, they force $400 from us, so we kickstart our orbital bombardment research program on them." "In fact, the International Space Station was built entirely for this purpose. So will the next station. And the one after that. Let's just say we have blueprints." - Charles Bolden, CEO of the National Aeronautical Space Administration. -
I currently have Soviet Russian 8x30 binoculars, from somewhere in the 60s. I am trying to go out stargazing with them, now that I am finally in a less-bright area outside of the Greater Toronto Area. I have a few questions to ask: 1. Are these binoculars even adequate for stargazing? 2. If so, what can I see with them? A close up of the moon? More stars? M31-33? How about some planet-spotting? Just how far can I push them? 3. What does 8x30 even mean? I'm not an expert. For the sake of information, here's what it says on the binocs: I couldn't get a hang of my cyrillic keyboard setting, so here's a picture off of google.

Yes! Who doesn't like flying revolvers? -
1. Is it possible to add some kind of crane system to this mod? For transporting payloads. 2. How many times can one of the larger ship sets circumnavigate kerbin?
