  1. Hey man while this is very cool! This video is more about what you built, than how you filmed it. The cinematics section is intended for discussion of filming technics, lighting, angles mods.... Putting the focus on the video rather than the creation. Commercial / movie style filming. Don't misunderstand me I'm not trying to take away from what you built but this kind of video is not what this thread is intended for. Now a suggestion is if you filmed it with the HUD off (press F2) and used KerbCam / Camera Tools and multiple angles. That would have made all the difference. Also when imbedding a video on the forum. If you click "Share" on YouTube and copy that link. Post it on the forum and hit enter. It will then imbed the video like a picture and not just the link, You will draw more attention to the video that way. edit For example:
  2. An i5 is nothing to shake a stick at. And you have the same video card I do. 8gb of ram isn't the best but it is enough to run the game. That zoom glitch, have you tried fast switching out and then back into the game? I get that all the time with -popupwindow. Alt-tabbing should take care of it. The horizon line is due to a change of how Blackrack renders the ocean. He is working on it but for now we just need to deal with it. I've also been getting that faint line across the middle of the screen since the new ocean shaders. I personally just deal with it as I love the new oceans. I think a lot will change after 1.1 hits. And blackrack / Rbray have a chance to rework everything. For now have you tried DX11? I don't run it personally, but I know a lot of people have been getting good results to decrease there memory footprint.
  3. Well, What are your system specs and are you on Windows 10? Win 10 will actually not run KSP in DX9 properly unless you add the ( -dx9) flag in the shortcut target field. And on that note. Are you running OpenGL or DX11? Personally I find DX9 plays the best with Scatterer and EVE, yielding the best performance. You need the memory to run it this way. But it tends to smooth everything out. 16GB is really the best amount of ram to run this game with, when heavily modded.
  4. Thanks Victor! Well that Kerbalstuff release is actually lacking a little bit. I had been meaning to revisit it. But then Astronomer made a reappearance on the forum, So I took a step back hoping he would jump back in. The version of AVP I tossed up on KS is actually not compatible with the dev version of EVE Reboot. And all my info in the OP is becoming dated. EVE 7-4 is really the best option with the original Astronomer's version of AVP. I Do have it "working" on my computer at home with EVE Reboot and AVP but the city lights are all messed up and The clouds lack that volume. Rbray and Blackrack have been making a lot of changes to Scatterer and EVE last couple of months. With both of them in such heavy development I just decided to wait and see for now. But if you'd like I think I have a .zip file with EVE 7-4 And AVP working quite well. I'll PM you when I get back home and send you what I have.
  5. are you having this issue with the official Alcor pod? Or just the CMES Pod? Also I assume this is an all IVA docking you are doing?
  6. Oh man that's epic! I'm still so impressed as to how guys can pull some of this stuff off bone stock like that! Thanks for show'n off
  7. Try this post - Latest Release --- Here is what Zodius had said a page back -
  8. Well I am redubbing some and so far have one I feel safe tossing back up there. And here is what I was trying to post when everything went to pot
  9. Actually: I would greatly appreciate some feedback on a question of how I should handle this one with about 20+ videos to go back through. (A) Bring them back with no audio (B) Throw filler music on top of them (C) Make a highlight real of "Pre Strike Videos" (D) Just make new videos and start over
  10. I'm finding how right you are.... I'm drudging through the free bin and it's really slim pick'ns. It's kind of a broken system too. Use the music you like until they slap you on the hand for it, because you're not supposed to use the music you like. The lines are very blurry. One song by a particular band is fine while another by the same band gets you a Strike almost immediately. This really puts a damper on the cinematics for me... Not sure how well I'll be able to continue but I'm not quite ready to throw the towel in just yet. Especially since I bought some editing software not all that long ago Maybe I'll retire to tutorial's, But I don't have a headset...... Just can't win for loosing.
  11. Did you read the OP? "First press "R" to enable RCS, this will bend the Kerbals arm Equip the desired weapon just as you would a KIS tool You can turn RCS off if you so desire and the gun will remain stationary If you do not turn on RCS the gun will be pointing straight down and will remain that way until re equipped Currently the M2 is a fixed gun so it cannot be aimed the same as the other guns"
  12. Yeah I would probably be ok putting most everything back up except that last video. It was taken down, and I was slapped with a Strike within 48 hours. But to be safe I'll just rip out all my audio.... Kinda sucks because I was really happy with how most of them turned out. I also don't have all the original shots just the compiled videos. So that's going to make for a lot of crummy videos until I make some new ones.
  13. Hey guys. I got a "Copyright Strike" on YouTube, due to me using actual songs in my videos. I was under the impression I just couldn't monetize my videos with music like that, but I was wrong. I am going to try and swap out the audio for my videos as I still have the originals. But I wanted to ask if anyone had some suggestion of YouTube safe music outside of the YouTube library?
  14. This one seems to have been buried. I wanted to bring it up again as I'd be very interested in building a CH-53. Helicopter mid air refueling is my next big goal
  15. People will twist anything into something bad. Really doesn't matter what you call it. But you're the first person I've seen make that connection. So where is your head at? By head I mean that round thing on your shoulders. See what I mean....
  16. Got a short one for you all this week.... I've got a cold
  17. Think first in first out. The first missile placed on the craft is the first to fire when firing off multiple missiles of the same kind. Unless you are carpet bombing with ripple. In which case it drops the bombs farthest down first. For instance, at 43 seconds in I demonstrate a bomb rotor with 32 bombs firing one at a time. The first to drop was the first placed with radial symmetry. So once the first rotor is built, just copy it and the copied rotor will pick up where the first empties. You can also see multiple carpet bombings as well.
  18. Welcome to the forum. when asking a question make sure you read back a few pages. BD is working on an update yes. No dates are set for a release. But most likely it'll be after 1.1 comes out.
  19. Ooo, I can't read that :/ are you using steam? edit oh duh right click and select "properties" that will open the window with the white box.
  20. Actually there a 2 different mods that do just that. Can't remember there names, but Google is your friend.
  21. No problem, find the shortcut you use to start KSP. If you are just using the .exe file, right click it and "create shortcut" Right click the shortcut and the window will have a white box. At the end it should look like this (....KSP.exe" -dx9) don't forget the space after the last quotation mark.
  22. Well there are plenty of us that love this mod and are more than willing to help. Thanks for unleashing your brand of crazy on us all lo-fi!
