  1. Maybe this is a discussion for the SSTU thread tbh. Last I checked it did.
  2. I mean, there's SSTU! It's got a beautiful SLS at a lower part count!
  3. The nozzle on the Castor 30 looks a bit off. In real life it's a straight, vacuum optimized nozzle, not a bell shaped like you have it. Looks good, though!
  4. Not true! They released the Steam beta last week week or so, and that's set to last about 2 weeks. I'd give it next week or so. But I'm pretty sure we can get in trouble for discussing that outside of the proper thread, so I'll leave it.
  5. As a disclaimer, I'd like to say that this pack is super sick. My only complaint: Why 12 sides? My OCD kills me looking at this thing. I can see how if it stays 12 faces, the pedals are easy to model, but you'd get the same effect if you bumped it up to the standard 24 sides! Cheers, dude. Good job on all of this. I'm not trying to sound r00d or anything.
  6. Why would that even be an option? It's the same as asking if @Beale and let's say @Kickasskyle will join their mods together. They don't really match.
  7. Welcome to the forums! You know there's a Sputnik in the stock game, yeah? Or you may check out SXT, it has one too. On Buran, that'd be nice, but Beale has already said he's not going to make that quite a long time ago.
  8. Hey now, we don't need any rule breakers here. If it were compatible with 1.1, he'd say so. Or maybe the OP's title would say so? Or maybe you could go try it? I'm sure it'll work fine, save the NF Solar plugin. That'd be broken for sure.
  9. Are you saying an RL10 with 450-500 thrust? That's more than 4 real RL10B-2s! They should have around 75 thrust a peice if you're going to do them. Any upper stage that includes an RL10 is incredibly low T/W.
  10. You say the Twin-Boar is the closest to an RL10B-2? The Twin-Boar is the 2.5m liquid fueled booster, yeah? If so, it's based off of the SLS Pyrosis boosters, which use 2 F1B engines. If I had to rate them, I'd say the F1B is essentially the very opposite of the RL10B-2. This is an RL10B-2. As you can probably see, your engine doesn't particularly look like this, but it does look good. I hope you take this as sort of a critique and not an insult! If so, I didn't mean to be rude! Just looking out for you, fam. Edit: What modeling program do you use?
  11. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the chip itself is practically welded to the mount. It's a decently powerful machine but the fact that I have to carry a auxiliary cooling pad with it makes it a little inconvenient. Any tips?
  12. I know the feeling. On a bad day my laptop's processor idles at 95 degrees... It's not a very fun time! Especially when it shuts itself down while I'm in the middle of something!
  13. "Can you do ma a favor, and tell Beale he can balance the NLV by giving them crap ISP but really low weight? That makes them reasonably efficient for small craft but they don't scale up well. It's how we balanced our small rockets." -CobaltWolf, adapted and censored for Forum use by VenomousRequiem. He says his phone doesn't like this thread... I find myself speaking for him a lot when he's away.
  14. If it was 1.1 compatible he would have said something. :^) -A friendly PSA for everyone on this website.
  15. Ah! I figured out your secret, @Beale! I was trying to figure out what some of the TKS parts go to. It's Safir from Kolyma's Shadow! Please tell me you haven't said that that's what it is before... I want to feel smart!
  16. My first actual launch of 1.1 used some of your parts, and I figued I'd let you know. We're going to Duna!
  17. Maybe you shouldn't come to a thread with issues in an unsupported version. :^)
  18. If it was here to support 1.1, it'd say. :^) But I believe the above screenshot by @tygoo7 is him playing in the 1.1 pre-release.
