  1. @Cpt. Kipard- giving them better reinforcements, bumpmaps, and a general quality pass as we speak. Animation for an inflatable, radial hydrogen tank. This would start empty and be able to inflate whenever you want. however, you would have to manually transfer fuel into it. It would just save space and allow you to stick your craft into a fairing for launch. (I'm looking at you, Nertea, with your damned massive, pretty radial tanks) And no, the rings don't clip in the stored position, or anywhere in the animation.
  2. Please stop. I actually want to hear some ideas, not just jokes.
  3. You really should use the lightbulb from Porkjet's amazing Atomic Age pack. IMHO it looks a lot better than the KSPX one. Might have more balanced performance too. SmallFatFetus
  4. Someone presumably named Ethan Adams with almost 200 posts. Apparently likes retro-looking-gifs. Also enjoys run on sentences.
  5. Could a script be set up to gently rock the capsule/boat/whatever when smashed down? Could you add better splashes? Cloud you add better sounds, and get rid of the loud-and-ugly-sounding "WHUMP" when you hit the water? Could you add some nice noises of water lapping against the side of the craft? Wonderful job on the water. It's coming along nice. SmallFatFetus
  6. Engineer of robots with funny sig quote. Also enjoys news and links.
  7. Expect a dev thread for this army of tanks in two weeks or so!
  8. Rockets have cool names (Saturn, Titan, Delta, Atlas, etc.) but one of the biggest, most powerful rockets in history is going to be named the "Space Launch System". I couldn't think of a more boring name if I tried. What cool names can you think of for the SLS? SmallFatFetus
  9. NASA wants to do a lot of things. What NASA can do is very limited by their budget.
  10. I don't think so. The liquid fuel in KSP is most likely hydrogen, and monopropellant is probably hydrazine, and oxidizer is oxygen. That said, you can manufacture all three of those with just water. (hydrazine being the exception, you need nitrogen) Xenon, being an element not present in water, cannot be produced like hydrogen or hydrazine.
  11. I bought the game for 20 dollars in a steam sale. I saw it today for 39.99. I know this isn't my place to judge, but I think that's a bit much. Don't get me wrong, I love the game and have logged hundreds of hours on it, but I see it as a bit of a barrier to entry. I've recommended KSP several people about it and every one of them said it was too expensive. I would love to hear your opinions on this. SmallFatFetus EDIT: think of whether it's a turn off to new players. Is $40 too steep for a game they might not like?
  12. OSX support is lacking at best. I have to tell myself constantly that it's not worth building a computer just to play ksp.
  13. I know how to use seams but I didn't here because I didn't want to make it any more complicated than it had to be.
  14. So far I haven't run into any big issues with unwrapping. Here are is an album with the UV map and the textures. @mariohm1311, I'll let you know if I need help. SmallFatFetus
  15. Here's a model for a liquid hydrogen tank for use with NERVAs. It is 2.5m, and the little dark grey things at the top are 1.25m for easy, adapterless transition. Expect more, as well as a thread in Add On Development subforum soon.
  16. Do you still need to write descriptions or make better flags? I would be happy to do both!
  17. Its because your center of lift is in front of your center of mass. If you look at an rocket plane, they're all either in fairings or they have bigger wings at the base.
  18. [removed] ] omg hey guise i wanna join ur club!!!11!!!one!!1!!! wuts light green eh idk man but i wan one dark green can rip in peace
