As KSP loads all it's textures on launch, you're going to have to deal with the lower textures until the U5 update come out and you can use all of your RAM. (In case you didn't know, KSP is very RAM limited. It can only use 4 gigs because it is a 32 bit program. The U5 update will change the program to 64 but, allowing you to use the full extent of your computer's specs Apparently this has not been confirmed?) This means that when loading huge textures (planet textures, clouds, etc) the game gets close to crashing. If you're not experiencing performance hits or crashes, then you are part of a lucky few. Here are some screenshots from pingopete of RVE (EVE) and Scatterer. It's worth mentioning Endraxial's Planet Textures for TextureReplacer and Avera9eJoe's cloud pack for EVE. Also be sure to check out Proot's KSPRC if you haven't already. Good luck! P.S. I would love to see some screenshots!

They make nice vernier thrusters for 3.75m rockets with their high gimbal range.

1/10 Don't think I've ever seen you before.

8/10, Sassy little one that wanted to use the debug menu in my challenge. EDIT: 200 posts! Yay!

Hmm. While I see your reasoning, I still think 7m is too big. But that's fine. We both have our opinions, and you, as the dev, have right of way. If there's no way to launch the centrifuge with a 5m rocket, I'll just have to boot up blender and get to work. Although I do want to point out that you pretty much used the only 2 images of the Jupiter III on google. I don't mean that as an insult, just to recognize how the rocket never really got past the "Hey, let's make a huge rocket!" stage. Correction- there's a few images of it in orbiter as well. but that's it.

A few opinions to convey... I vote the crew capsule go from 3.75m to 1.875m with a custom 1.875m docking port. The Taurus HCV already fills the niche for a 3.75-1.25m capsule. For the service module, I would think the smaller modern Orion-style CSM would work better for shielding RCS control blocks, solar panels, etc. from the aerodynamic forces of launch. However, you could always make both parts. Unless this is for RSS/RO, I think 7m is too big. You just don't need that size. 5m is already huge. The main SLS tank and space shuttle ET is 8.4 meters across, (Saturn 5 is 10m) so this seems unnecessarily huge for stock Kerbin, considering that most KSP rockets are about half the size of their real-life counterparts. Also, this cuts down on the amount of parts you have to make. You can see here that all of the Jupiter core stages are ET sized. This will complement Tantares and the AB launchers pack quite well!

Hm, that sounds cool. I wonder if biomes (they really should be called regions, theres no life to warrant "bio") are hard coded? I am not well versed with plugins so I won't be much help but I would download this if someone made it.

Reliable and up-to-date modding guide
SmallFatFetus replied to OrianCEV's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
A little over a year old, but these tutorials held my hand through modding my first few custom parts. Also, don't start with something as complicated as a VASIMR and nuclear reactor. That was pretty dumb of me. -
Delete the resource, and add ModuleDecoupler. Might want to edit the textures and general parameters. (weight, etc.)

WHAOOOOOAAAHHHAOOOO! Oh dear, excuse me. This is so cool! I wish this could be the tier 0 space center! -
That was pretty cool! Honestly, I could do without the whole singularity thing and just watch them repair space stations and work on mining equipment on laythe!

[Showcase] Showoff Your Rep-Worthy Crafts

How did you get that sun flare working? -
I got it a several times in a row. Is that normal, or should I go out and buy a lottery ticket?

Are you going to tilt it like you're sitting on you're back?

You can't beat the elegance of the R7 Soyuz. It's a beautiful rocket that launched so many firsts. And wow, that guy is standing close.

Hmmm, I don't know. If I made them, I feel like they would be too much of a replica. I think I will release a quick little science experiment pack, triangular probe core and antenna for new horizons though. I just modeled the LORRI, what should I call it?

Hello! I enjoy making mods, and I am pretty satisfied with Atlas Spacecraft Systems. However, it has been a bit overshadowed by the much-higher-quality Near Future Propulsion. So I have concluded that there wasn't as much demand for an alternate VASIMR mod. So now, I ask you, the players, what do YOU want? -Lander parts: More bits and pieces to build landers. Low profile engines, legs, lander cans, staging mechanisms. -Artifical Gravity Rings: Nice big toruses for building interplanetary ships. Deployable and non-deployable. -Probe Parts: Nice big probe cores, Telescopes, Probe landers, and Rovers? -New Solar Panel: might just start working on this one now. It would be pretty cool to have working. So that's what I'm going to put in the poll. Please, let me know if you have any other ideas. SmallFatFetus
