You can control the fuel flow on the tanks without control so you could have shut off the engine.

I bet he is looking at this thread and going: ca-Ching! Book sales!

Show me your improbable designs!
Rath replied to SmallChange's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
big necro mate. But never mind, it is an actual good thing add to the thread. I think that the MK3 VTO is not that weird of an idea, merely it is kerbal, but if it LOOKs really weird you should totally post it -
what is difference between black hole and budget hole?
Rath replied to Pawelk198604's topic in The Lounge
Another question: what is the difference between the space between Donald trumps ears and a black hole? -
Jar jar with start a livejournal and all of the networked devices will kill them selfs. Because jarjar binks.

What I hate about KSP forums/IRC! (not a moan, don;t worry!)
Rath replied to kiwi1960's topic in The Lounge
I'm sorry for existing. (and you are probably mistaken about the average age of members of the forum--most are probably over 20. I'm an anomaly (13yrs old) not the norm. -
I don't fire nukes below 10km(because headcannnon politics) crash spent stages into 'cities' (dots on a map) or blow up NERVAs, a Nerva must be soft landed with a rad shield

I want kerbalized realish parts. Some can be completely original, but I like to have rockets with go-faster stripes like the hu-mon ones

Water/liquid/ocean related changes
Rath replied to KerikBalm's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I always tought of KSP as Kerbal Space Program, not Kerbal Submarine Program. We need the atmosphere, because it seems logical to fight it on our way to orbit (similar to space programs on earth). We do have oceans to land in (similar to earth). But I don't think any space program has to deal with submarine stuff. If submarine stuff will happen, I hope it comes in KSP 2.0 or 1.5 or something like that. For now, fix the bugs, balance the stuff that is there, keep entirely new stuff to far away updates. Your ideas are nice, but I don't need such things anytime soon. :)
NASA collaborated with DARPA and the US navy about building a submarine launched satellite. The military wanted quick, transportable spysats, and NASA wanted a cheap light launcher -
It already does

I used to live in a place called big sur, and the power went out SO much. Often my dad had to clear fallen trees from the 3-mile dirt driveway.
I stepped in around 0.22. I've always built my rockets as if they were real life rockets, and I always ran my missions as if they were real life missions. Sure, pancake designs were more efficient, but I just preferred my rockets to be tall and slender, just like the real thing. Sure, you could enter the atmosphere at an 85° angle at 4000m/s, deploy chutes at 65km and land just fine... But silly me preferred "real" reentries with shallow angles and with relative low velocities. Sure, you could gain a lot by abusing the simple-minded model the game used, but what's the fun of that when you want something that looks fairly real (despite flying with little green bug-eyed men)? Funny thing is, I haven't had the need to change a single thing while playing. My designs haven't changed significantly, and re-entry has as of yet not posed a problem to me. The way I see it is that the game now rewards me more for "trying to keep it real." I'm not complaining.
This is me

Pls, add Mk3 cargo bays without doors.
Rath replied to Vegatoxi's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Offsetting stuff attached to cargo bays is really weird. - - - Updated - - - He is saying ATTACH the wings to the side and use ofset to move them up. -
Open Source Construction Techniques for Craft Aesthetics

Amazing. -
Because they have porkjet, who likes to make plane parts a lot. Contracted modders have a style that they like to work with, and the reason they got contracted is because they are good at what they do. Porkjet does SP parts, Roverdude does Resources. If (when) netera gets hired he will probably do deep space vechiles and probes.

Veterans Day is not american. It may have started there, but it is not theirs. It is for all of the world.

Rath replied to Legitgamer1261's topic in KSP1 Discussion
THAT IS A MOD RCS NOT STOCK. IT IS NOT SQUADS PROBLEM. Those are from quiztech aerospace. -
that IS beautiful - - - Updated - - - I got to take a ride in an ford Tri-Motor during the summer. It is more comfortable than modern airliners, has no window seats because the wings are on top, and is smoother flying.
