  1. I never use the stock 0.625m tanks. I prefer to just tweakscale full sized tanks because they end up being longer and require less part count (1) to make a long missile or rocket like object.
  2. This is my station. It uses tech level 1 parts, because I spent all the 902k on space tuna and the latest fashion from Laythe.
  3. Mods = You pretty much have 1.04 features back in 0.23.5 Why wait?
  4. Cover that "little" rover with extended Comm-16 antennae! Like 100 of them, that will be maxish enough
  5. Re: Kerbal house Feel free to make a scene using any of my recent constructs, namely, car, minibus, house, enormous omgroflcopter (coming soon). I'm thinking of a rendering of a typical Kerbal neighborhood. Let's say, we could call it Real Housewives of Kerbin, set on Hysteria Lane (muahahaha! Desperate Housewives was set on Wisteria Lane!) Possible sub-scene ideas: - Valentina & other housewives cooking with a big-s rocket engine (Twin Boar Grill!!) - Jeb driving a minibus recklessly with lots o kerbal teenagers in the back, while texting and eating. lots of stuff flying off! - Bob tries to commute to work with a rocket. Crashes through the house leaving a neat hole (looney tunes style) - Bill tries to fix a broken down Mil V-12 omgroflcopter in his garage. Problem is, its so big it fills up his driveway, the lawn, and blocks the entire street. I have no idea yet on how to fit all those scenes together. Much of the mayhem can take place in the same house, with the exception of that giant copter spilling over onto the street off one side of the scene, Valentina's garden BBQ party in the lawn, Bob's rocket taking off the roof (commuting with rocket a homage to Robert Heinlein's "Rocket Ship Galileo"), vehicular mayhem with Jeb speeding past leaving half his snacks and passengers on the street. I think you can scale Kerbals and remove their helmets right? You could make tiny little Kerbal kids and adorable babies for the housewives to carry around. LOL
  6. Pretty much mastered rotor dynamics and flight control (rotor articulation) on an "OMG" scale with the Mil V-12 project. It's awesomely stable with none of the wobbling associated with my previous rotorcraft projects. Possibly because I used not one but two airliner wings to support the driveshafts. Craft thread Also, circular wings. Could double the wing area of your wing design while retaining the same wingspan, if you're insane enough! Craft thread
  7. When it comes to mellow space programs, the tranquil, graceful, deceptively simple Primitive Orbital Station could be your cup of tea.
  8. Love it! While it's only a prototype model at this stage, the tank definitely looks as low-slung and menacing like modern Russian MBTs are. It also looks like it has a relatively low part count... have you considered making some or all of the armor panels out of airfoil sections? They can look like applique armor and add some smoothness to the design. But then you get a white tank. Maybe for UN peacekeeping Would you consider putting up a copy on KerbalX? I would like to share your craft file on my channel and maybe obliterate houses and cars with it soon. I would need a way to make the main gun functional though..
  9. Thanks for your kind comment Raptor9 and OMG Mr. Garrison's post is way too huge and official for me to reply in any coherent capacity. I really do enjoy his enthusiasm for the flying wing global bomber concept and hope to have some input for the larger, Mk3 flying wing sometime soon. In the meantime I have yet to do the promised MTOW tests to figure out just how much payload capacity the TXR-3 design has. As with some of my other circular wing projects the wing area is truly excessive and could be used for some interesting things with the right payload implementation. Or space-capable engines.
  10. I think they amuse themselves with the approximately 26 tons of B-movie DVDs I filled the cargo bay with?
  11. Update 7 Sep! (Stock!!) Automatic Hover Function Active Test Flight Video Mil V-12 "Homer" Super Heavy Helicopter There are There are This is an OMGcopter. For when your house moving involves moving the entire house. Work in progress. Environmentally-friendly Infernal Robotics Rework hybrid turbo-electric propulsion to allow use of high occupancy air lanes. Handling akin to piloting your house from the second floor balcony while lounging on an enormous beanbag. Currently progressing through flight testing rituals in leisurely fashion. Superb hover stability and aerial presence. Not safe for public release due to absurdly complicated procedure to transition to forward flight, will misbehave at the slightest deviation from transition checklists, or with no warning at certain times of the month. I know you'll want to get the craft file and have fun exploding all over the space center anyway, so let me have a couple days more to mess with it before I do a craft release, mmkay? As a side bonus, the crashes are really, really epic with rapidly spinning blades of death slicing everything to bits, fuselage disintegrating everywhere, fires, sound, all sorts of industrial light and magic. Play nice with this craft when you download, she'll bite Bonus for anyone who actually read all the way here. I'm actually taking orders for special VIP access flight tests, so hit me up with a comment or PM if you want to help with testing or doing mad stuff with this thing. Requires Infernal Robotics Rework Pre-release. Terms and conditions may or may not apply depending on mood.
  12. There are .There are .Now, there are OMGcopters. Participate in the flight development project in the craft thread or lol at the epic fails to come here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/133491-There-are-Helicopters-and-there-are-ROFLcopters-This-is-OMG!!!-Mil-V-12-Homer-Super-Heavy-Copter?p=2179404#post2179404
  13. Would anyone need a Kerbal dollhouse to furnish? I made one here http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/132982-FOR-SALE!-Lovely-2-Bedroom-2-Storey-Kolonial-House-1-Min-Walk-to-KSC!-19-036-neg-Unfurnished It even has a stock toilet
  14. Wow, what a coincidence, would you like me to post in your thread with the house so people can furnish it Thanks! I just got my internet back and saw it Feel free to make a house render - if you can scale kerbals you can get kerbal kids playing in a stock parts playground outside, maybe a Kerbalwagen Mk1 and Type 2 outside with BlueCanary's K-150 / F-150
  15. We need a peaceful scene with a KerbalWagen bus cruising along then a bunch of gangsters on bikes hijack it and bring it back to the Immortan Jeb where it is converted into a post apocalyptic armored gunship all shiny and chrome spewing flame from the V8 shoehorned into the back! Ok Kerbal bikes don't sound practical, so let's have that hot rod roadster thingie with lots o spikes poking out from it If you stick a lot of extended communotron-16 all over it, it will be spiky and stock.
  16. Would you help me sell my house? Pretty please? Craft thread: Kolonial House http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/132982-FOR-SALE%21-Lovely-2-Bedroom-2-Storey-Kolonial-House-1-Min-Walk-to-KSC%21-19-036-neg-Unfurnished I've heard there's an actual furniture mod with furniture and such. If so you could furnish the house and advertise is as fully furnished and jack up the price! The house has been tested in outer space and landed on Dres by BlueCanary, too!
  17. This is a Big-S Plane No seriously, look at the airfoils, Big-S Craft thread http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/133090-HX-L-Delta-Clipper-Mach-4-5-Supersonic-Business-Jet-New-York-to-London-in-60-minutes-with-28-parts
  18. Update: Thanks to the hard work of forumer Maschinenbauer to hand position all 6 air intakes to avoid asymetric flameout issues, flight development engineers have decided to remove engine thrust limits. Extensive flight testing on Reddit has also yielded crucial flight data that propose optimal cruise altitudes be raised to 20km due to higher than expected lift factor from the wings. Caution should still be exercised as hypersonic flight attempts below 14km altitude will destroy the craft. Ditto for 'spirited maneuvering' which will make stock aero act like FAR and destroy the craft from fatal spins or over-G conditions. The new optimized craft file with hand-positioned intakes replaces the old one (Use the same link in the OP).
  19. That's seriously good inventiveness on BlueCanary's part! His truck carrying my house? Who said the practise of buying giant trucks as personal vehicles was wasteful? I wonder how many Gs was that landing. Had to be some serious vertical velocity even with the braking SRBs. I just have to ask - what kind of launch vehicle brought the truck and the house there? This could be fun. I need to read up on how to host a challenge, though. The points system confounds me, and so is making awards for our new corps of interplanetary surveyors and realtors. I think I might construct some sort of universal heavy lifter to deal with oversized loads like the house, it will have to VTOL and look like a decently realistic aircraft... or helicopter. One of these Mil V-12s should do perfect. They're intended to lift 40 ton rockets out into the remote Siberian wasteland where no one will ever find them.
  20. Mk2 cockpits look much better if you make them look like a blended wing design, using a tailcone clipped into the nose flanked by two Big-S strakes. If you add a Big-S delta wing behind the resulting assemblage, you get an Avro Vulcan scale model / historical pre-production aerodynamic testbed!
  21. HX-L Delta Clipper The cutting edge of executive travel. Download Craft File at KerbalX! Stock, KSP 1.0.4, 28 parts. Background: Capitalizing on recent advances in supersonic aircraft development, the HX-L is a derivative of the fictional Royal Air Force TXR-3 global strike bomber concept. Powered by a pair of de-rated Olympus II turboramjet engines, the HX-L resembles a tiny Avro Vulcan with an experimental Quiet Spike hypersonic nose derived from Spectrum's top secret that defended Earth from the Mysteron threat decades ago. In order to avoid self-destructing the aircraft with excessive acceleration beyond Mach 4.0, fuel flow for the HX-L's engines are limited to 72% of military power. Nevertheless, even with such restrictions, discerning executives can now look forward to soaring worlds' above the competition, dashing across Kerbin's vast oceans in 10 minutes flat with the new cutting edge of business jet technology.
  22. Is that... A plane skewerd through the attic? And you're using the roof like an airfoil. I'm surprised it works! Can you imagine if I put tables, chairs, sit a kerbal down with a selfie camera from HullCamVDS and record the view while the house is flying? Lol. @MajorJim Oh definitely! I will love to construct a lowboy trailer next and bring the house to the Cape of Good Hope or whatever the southern tip of "Africa" is termed on Kerbin. Then a heavy lift helicopter like the Mil V-12 to take another up to the mountains several hundred km north of KSC, and so on Thanks for the encouragement it's much appreciated!
  23. I literally fall asleep playing career mode at the end of every work day. I once made a blog style thread showcasing my ridiculous antics while microsleeping from mission to mission and never finishing everything. Check out that probe/lander/comsat thingie. I have no idea what's that supposed to do! http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/126010-My-Space-Program-is-in-utter-disarray
  24. I wanted to make a tavern out of some generic medieval tavern plans found on the internet. Little did I know the same design could yield a pleasant little kolonial style residence. Craft Thread: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/132982-FOR-SALE%21-Lovely-2-Bedroom-2-Storey-Kolonial-House-1-Min-Walk-to-KSC%21-19-036-neg-Unfurnished?p=2168886
