Any updates?

I think that there will be a duplicate of the Internet on Mars. All websites and stuff are there, and communicating with someone else on Mars will be the same as the Internet today. Then, let's say that we all move to Mars and Scott Manley stays on Earth. That is bad. So, every hour or so, Mars sends all web updates to Earth, and vice versa. Both planets update their servers with the new data.

It's an OK game, but no match for KSP.

All very good points!

RealLife Kerbal Stratosphere Program
KAL 9000 replied to MalfunctionM1Ke's topic in Science & Spaceflight
A suggestion for the safety of the Kerbal: have him or her on a robot arm that retracts them into the container when the balloon passes apoapsis. -
After reading this thread, I'd like to submit my own opinion: Habitable planets are probably common-ish. Life is probably rare. Getting the conditions in a warm little pond or hydrothermal vent for a form of self-replicating RNA or something to form is HARD. I would estimate sentient life at probably one planet per galaxy. So, yeah, we'll find some rare amoebas or something, but we're probably the only life that has discovered space travel in the Milky Way. Of course, this is all thrown off if panspermia happened, which is a question for another thread .

Roger that! Kerty can close non-essential comms now, my Laythe colony is standing by to confirm when it passes Jool orbit. We'll check if it is on course when it does.
-
The horror known as "real life issues" is over, so I'll be back to normal activity. You know, less posting for the last couple months was not normal.

Ok, um... Probe PPMTL-B01: Initiate hibernation procedure J27-Delta. Probe PPMTL-K01: Initiate hibernation procedure J27-Delta as well. Both probes: send all RTG power except for the power necessary for your computer core, communications with Kron 6, and thermal control to Kron 6. Kerty can have a snack of the extra electricity.
-
Could Kerty open non-essential comms for a day or two? I'll need to tell the probes to enter hibernation mode. You're looking good! It's awesome to see your progress!
-
Jeb's right! I never thought of KSP as sort of like The Matrix, though...
-
Awesome! Standard freezing procedure after the burns, I presume? Anyway, good luck and Kodspeed to Kron 6!
-
About the cause of Bob's "concerns" about everything... If he flew with Jeb a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, that would explain it.

KSC in my save has been monitoring the mission. We report that my probes have all systems GO for trans-Plock injection. Has the crew launched yet?
-
BTW, who's the crew? I'm assuming Jeb's coming, considering he's not dead (yet) in your save, but who else?
