  1. Traveler 3 confirms course, uploading instructions for converter repair to Kerty.
  2. Today! Screenshots every Saturday. A single booster!?!? Are you out of your mind!?!? NOTHING works without MOAR BOOSTERS! Teaser lines from next story update: "Ooh, shiny! Can we eat that floating ice cream?" "That's Minmus, Jeb. And we need to make sure we're on course for the gravity assist we'll get by flying past it." "Oh."
  3. All other modules are docked. Standing by for trans-Dres injection burn.
  4. Of course not, she is strong with the mass-acceleration product!
  5. Kassini probe communications interrupted by solar storm hitting Sarnus ~50 days before Kron 6 passed Sarnus orbit. Kron 6 did not detect it as it was not close enough at the time. Communications are still semi-garbled between Kassini and Kerbin as magnetic interference dissipates, but it appears to have made contact with Kron 6. Traveller 3 has entered Urlum orbit, and Traveller 4 is on final approach to Neidon. They will also confirm Kron 6 trajectory.
  6. Not bigger than Kron 6 ! The radiators are in back because the reactor is in the back, because the crew modules are in the front and the reactor should be as far away as possible from them.
  7. Well, since the ship is in orbit and modules are coming up, let's check on the crew, shall we? -Story - Part 5- Bill floated into Main Engineering to start powering up the ship. He reached for the "BEGIN BOOTUP SEQUENCE" button, but accidentally pressed "BEGIN SELF-DESTRUCT SEQUENCE". A computer screen flashed out "Confirm Self-Destruct Sequence? Y/N", and Bill hurriedly typed in "N". The screen flashed "Self-Destruct Sequence Disarmed", and he breathed a sigh of relief. He pressed BEGIN BOOTUP SEQUENCE, then flicked the switches for all the solar panels from closed to open, doing the same for the radiators. Then, he flicked the switch for the main reactor from OFF to ON and flicked the switches for nuclear fuel and coolant to go to the reactor. He activated automatic temperature regulation for the reactor, and deployed the artificial gravity module and activated the spin. He finally activated the scrubbers, water reclaimers and greenhouses.
  8. Uhh... Um... Look, a butterfly! RUUUN! Ok, actually, I was going to have the Asteroid Redirect probe rendezvous with Kron 6, but there was a Klaw failure... Seriously, that's actually what happened.
  9. Don't worry, Jeb! Bill hasn't said "That's one small step for Kerb, one giant leap for Kerbalkind," yet.
  10. Here's the screenshot! And it's BEAUTIFUL! KSS max_creative in Kerbin Orbit
  11. Bill attached the struts, but Jeb won't let him inside the airlock...
  12. Asteroid avoided, Laythe colony confirms Kron 6 is on course.
  13. No idea that existed . Also, what would be cool is Take On Mars-style parts for specialized Duna missions, so you could really go wild or recreate some historic Mars missions.
  14. Bass-ackwards lifters? You should talk to @Geschosskopf Yes, I spelled it right! Also, I'm now OVER 9000 500 posts! Bill has done the KAS work on the ship and is currently exploring the spacious accommodations in the ship. And eating Jeb's ration snacks. Oh, Kraken, Jeb's not gonna be happy once he, Bob, and Val come up... --Jeb is looking over my shoulder at one of the KSC computers-- "NO SNACKS! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
  15. Just want to point out, LC-39 is reserved for history-making missions (Apollo, STS, The flagship probes, SLS, etc.)
  16. Where? 150km from Dres on escape trajectory at last detection. Relative velocity at impact is ~3000 m/s. This is an actual asteroid in one of my saves that I cross-checked with Kron 6's orbit . Beginning analysis of Kaos 3 images.
  17. After looking through Kubble Space Telescope images, we believe we've found landing sites for Kron 6 on Plock and Karen. Beros and Kyx are too small for details to be found.
  18. Screenshots will actually come up every Saturday. However, progress is happening! The KSS max_creative actually has all segments in LKO, but the screenshots didn't save. I did take a very nice pic of it in orbit yesterday, though. That saved and will be coming up on Saturday. (Side Note: I figured out the issue with the screenshots sometimes saving and sometimes not, from now on all screenshots will be saved). Bill launched in a rocket, which is not breaking the SSTO rule because the pod he's in will not be going to Dres. He didn't want to try an SSTO again after the Arrow failure .
  19. So, Duna as we know it is a fun place, but I would really like more biomes like the ones on the Mun "East Farside Crater", and just more stuff to use/do there. After all, IRL Mars is one of the most fascinating places in the solar system. So if people like the idea of more stuff geared toward Duna and Duna exploration, I would be happy to make my first mod (I'm planning to start modding) something along the lines of "Duna Plus" or something.
  20. --INCOMING TRANSMISSION FROM DRES SCANSAT-- Kerty, warning! Detecting Class E Asteroid in Dresteroid belt on collision course with Kron 6! Evasive action recommended! --END TRANSMISSION--
  21. Roger, looks like the Dres mission won't make it in time, but the SCANsat I sent before I had this idea has been reprogrammed to find a good landing spot, and it detects Kron 6 on radar. Deviation from expected course: 134km at Plock arrival, measurement error +- 150km at Plock arrival. So, deviation is within measuring error, so it's probably on course. Will check again at Jool.
