  1. Of course Jeb would be Matt Damon, haven't you seen The Martian? Mark Watney is Jeb in human form. "Iron Man, Commander. Iron Man." "I'm gonna have to science the s**t out of this." "My AMAZING BOTANY POWERS!"
  2. Clearly, you have Internet if you can post on the forums . We send the save file around, basically. Other questions: No, In-progress, and it's already installed.
  3. Win conditions: Control the entire Kerbol system. To control a body, you either destroy or board/takeover all outposts/installations on a body that is not yours. If you don't control anything, you are out of the game. Basically, be the last one standing. Combat would be BDA with team A being the attacking team and team B being the defending team.
  4. So, me and a couple of friends that I know IRL (who also play KSP) have decided to start a war of total domination of the Kerbol system! It will be turn-based, so the save file with the war will be passed around. Extraplanetary Launchpads will be used, and everyone starts out with their own planet. You automatically own the moons of the planet you start with. Because of EL, Kerbin will be off-limits because insta-launching crafts from the KSC wouldn't be fair. Also, OPM will be used so more planets are available and more people can join. If you want to DOMINATE THE KERBOL SYSTEM then let me know in a reply, and I will add you to the OP. To be added to the OP, let me know what planet you would like and the name of your "nation". To tell which crafts belong to which person, all crafts that you make have their names start with your nation's name. Feel free to tell me a little about your nation so I can put that in the OP. Modlist: Available as soon as I can check. There are a lot of mods, though, so CKAN is recommended. Planets / Claims: Moho: No one yet. Eve: Quark Korporation, Mega-Korporation Kerbin: Off-limits. Duna: No one yet. Dres: No one yet. Jool: Me (KAL 9000), Nation: JAI, Nation Info: Direct Democracy/Technocracy Sarnus: My friend #1 (No forum account), Nation: PI, Nation Info: Representative Democracy (like the USA IRL) Urlum: My friend #2 (No forum account), Nation: AI, Nation Info: Megacorporation Neidon: No one yet Plock: No one yet
  5. So, is @HatBat still accepting craft submissions?
  6. Yes, higher than almost 100 times sea level pressure. The Marianas Trench doesn't have pressures nearly that high, and I doubt that any life can survive in the mantle and core, where pressures are that high... Oh, sure, it can melt lead, it can cook a pizza in 7 seconds (Neil DeGrasse Tyson did the math), it's the hottest surface in the solar system (except for the surface of the Sun), it can vaporize DNA and organic molecules in a snap, but life is still hibernating on the now crushed and melted Venera probes. Sure... If Venus could talk: "That was a probe? Sorry, I thought it was space junk. It made a delicious METAL PANCAKE, though. Want a bite?"
  7. I made a pixel art mission patch for Kron 6, which I will upload soon!
  8. Kron 6's tracking beacon has been re-acquired, normal communications resuming. It has emerged from behind Plock. Romeo is GO for release, planning trans-Beros injection.
  9. More drivers? It's more BOOSTERS. ?elgooG ed rotcudarT le ósu¿ ,oires nE
  10. I found the photos, and here are the scientists' most promising candidates for landing sites (A.K.A. chosen at random). I took the "three phases" images and found some spots that I like. Beros: You see the brightest pixel in the exact center column of pixels? The pixel right below it is the Romeo landing site. Kyx: You see the exact center row of pixels? Take the length of the row in pixels, and multiply by 0.75. If the number is not an integer, round down to the nearest integer (even if it's 19.9, round to 19, not 20). That pixel from the left is the area of the Juliet landing site. (Example: If we round down from 19.9, as in the earlier example, the 19th pixel from the left should be around 3/4ths of the way to the right edge of Kyx in the image) Convoluted, I know, but I wanted to make it random because I have no particular preference and there are no anomalies (as far as I know) on either moon. 11. I know! I just thought getting the 1000th post was a cool opportunity... I really do love this Mission Report!
  12. Ok, but it is a race fish tank and you may drown trying to drive it. I wish that Jeb would stop blowing up my crafts.
  13. Try to translate these phrases from Kerbalspeak: "!beJ se erbmon im ,aloH" ".asoc alam anu se acnun seroslupmi sáM" "!lobreK ametsis led atenalp rojem al sE !aritnem anu se on serD otseupus roP"
  14. Dres orbital insertion complete! The permanent surface modules will land before the landers (which will return to the ship later). Final system checks underway for the first surface module to be released and land: the ISRU unit.
  15. Roger, ground crew informs you that that is BOODIFUL!!!
  16. That moment with Billy... Onions, just onions... Why do you have to make this so SAD?
  17. Crew reports all systems go for POI, they are now moving to the command and control module to perform it.
  18. Wait... AlternateHistoryHub is doing a video about your book's scenario? Awesome!
  19. There are sticky notes in some IVA's. I can't read them, what do they say?
  20. The probes can help Kerty out with some of these tasks, here's their diagnostic on the crew: Jeb-checking status... nominal Bill-checking status... nominal Bob-checking status... nominal Val-checking status... nominal Initiating wake up for all crew... 25%... 50%... 75%... 100%... Done! Wake up complete.
  21. Name: Kerby Krisp Company: Duna Inc. Source: [REDACTED] Backstory: When Kerbals started complaining about the lack of candy onboard spacecraft, Duna Inc. seized the opportunity and invented the Kerby Krisp, a spaceworthy snack for all to enjoy. Type: Candy Meal Designation: All Meal Type: [REDACTED]
