Install instructions are near the bottom of the OP or can be found on the github near the bottom here: https://github.com/Gameslinx/BeyondHomePlanetMod/blob/master/README.md Provided you're using Windows, Beyond Home comes with an install checker which will tell you during the loading screen what you've done wrong if you have installed it wrong, as well as what other things you might be missing. It is just plug and play with EVE and Scatterer, just install them alongside BH and they will work fine As said above, if you have Kerbal Konstructs installed you can unlock the base from the VAB/SPH editor by clicking the Kerbal Konstructs button at the bottom right, selecting the Lua base and unlocking it with credits.- 1,656 replies

I've not used Scansat before but I have been told it works fine! Planet resources for MKS / WBI haven't been manually distributed so it could be possible they will randomly spawn, but I advise caution and I can't guarantee any will spawn at all. The terrain textures use the new shader added in 1.8, and every planet has very high quality terrain textures for their surfaces. Every planet and moon uses these. Beyond home comes with its own visuals, so it does not support AVP. Install EVE, Scatterer, and Sigma Skybox alongside BH to use it's visuals.- 1,656 replies

I have a busy schedule, unfortunately. I have university to worry about, and my focus has shifted away from those mods to this one and YouTube. I may revisit them at some point but I have no plans to for the near future The link is not valid. You need to upload your log to a file sharing site, you can't just paste the file path. Try using Dropbox or Pastebin to upload your log file.- 1,656 replies

You have not followed in the installation instructions correctly. You just put the .zip files into GameData, you need to extract them. Your GameData folder should look like this:- 1,656 replies

My advice is to not assume the bug is due to my mod if you have a million other ones installed. I only work with installs that have barely or no other mods installed except the ones Beyond Home uses. Try removing your other mods and if the issues persist upload your KSP.log here.- 1,656 replies

Delete your settings.cfg and set your terrain quality to maximum. Rescale seems to break something and that's the only way to fix it.- 1,656 replies

I only work on something if I enjoy it, since that's why I started modding in the first place. I'll come back to GPO/BK/AK eventually but it is a lot of work. And I mean a lot of work, it's no easy feat especially with the new terrain shader, so it will be a while.- 1,656 replies

I have not let them die, but I won't work on them whilst I don't enjoy working on them. Currently I am having a blast working on Beyond Home for 8 months straight, so now I'm taking a break. I need your KSP.log, which can be found in your Kerbal Space Program folder. Beyond Home is a planet mod and adds almost no actual code to the game. Unless you are not meeting the system requirements stated in the OP, it is highly unlikely that you will crash because of it.- 1,656 replies

Rescale makes it harder to reach certain places, so if you find the default system too easy, then rescale is how you make it more challenging! It's definitely not required at all, I don't play with rescale.- 1,656 replies

That's awesome thank you! I'll have a look at the different situations when sampling rocks. I think I can disable sampling them when in space low / flying low, and limit then to just on the ground, but it also works if you sample them in different biomes. The same rock in a Highland biome will give you science when sampling it again in a lowlands biome, but that's out of my control and actually not too unrealistic to be called a bug! I can increase the scatter load radius but it is exponentially worse on performance so I limit it. If you do want to increase it you can find it in Settings.cfg if you search for Lua, or BH_High. By the sounds I'm assuming the audio file in the install folder?- 1,656 replies

The log doesn't highlight a crash, it just got to the point between KSP finishes loading and the main menu. In that time, Kopernicus is replacing the planets with the BH planets and this has to be done within a single frame, so the game will appear to have stopped / crashed, when it's just taking its time. Did you get the unity crash prompt / did KSP close? If it did, I think I'll need your player.log which is now located in your AppData/LocalLow/Squad/KerbalSpaceProgram folder.- 1,656 replies
