  1. I see you understood my joke I hope others understand the reference - assuming we think of the same thing Edit: This mod definitely looks like a good one to try out. The visuals look amazing and I'll totally be recommending this overhaul in the future as it develops. It certainly looks a whole lot better than my early escapades to say the least Then again, I am a bit biased towards the 'overhaul' aspect... I wonder why...
  2. I've tried a small bit but it looks absolutely huge on it! But yes that's totally something I'd love to do, and I'm surely planning on doing it. I've seen @Galileo's awesome flare textures so I'll have a look at a softer, subtle one (if I have permission to use them, of course.)
  3. Ahhhh thank you very much! This helped an awful lot. I've managed to half-fix the issue. The flare automatically fades out at a certain distance anyway, but it stays bright until then. I could just set a zoom limit since I've seen it somewhere before in the stock configs, if that's possible. If not, no worries. This is what I have so far.
  4. Cheers I'll take a look when I'm on my PC again. I was hoping for something regarding the stock sunflares (without scatterer) but it doesn't look terrible. Thanks
  5. @Galileo you have experience with Sunflares I think - reckon you can help with this (hopefully) simple fix? I have a small star which I'd like to zoom into, but the stock sunflare and the scatterer subflare both fade away, leaving the bare star texture, which is relatively ugly. Do you know of a way to stop the sunflare from fading out or reducing the range? Cheers.
  6. Olu'um now emits light! Unfortunately, because it has to have its template set to a star to produce light, it looks a tad ugly from close up. For example, the stock sunflare fades out as you zoom in, which I hate. @KillAshley is there a way to stop the fading-out of the sunflare as you zoom into a star (Kopernicus)?
  7. I'm still accepting screenshots Those peaks are just an individual biome called 'Toxic Spires' which you can see from space as a cool feature
  8. No problem! I try my best I'm releasing a patch over the next few days because someone in the discord chat found some minor bugs.
  9. Welcome to version 2.3a! IMPORTANT - Nothing terrain related. You're in luck! Using 8K cloud texture for Gaia and Sonus Updated dependency: Scatterer Water refraction from Scatterer implemented Redid Butai's scatterer atmosphere Terminator lines now appear Increased Olu'um's size to 10,000,000 radius Fixed Dreidos and Niebos atmosphere ramps Other fixes and quality of life improvements
  10. The zip folder you downloaded should have it written on the end.
  11. GPO_Scatterer.cfg is not integration. It is a config patch. You need to add the planetList.cfg from Suthe to the planetList.cfg from GPO. It's an awkward task, so again, you're better off ditching one of the mods.
  12. Tough work that is. I'll need to do this for many planet packs, including yours.
  13. You need to add the code from @Tynton's Scatterer > PlanetList.cfg to the one provided by me. You will also need to merge the folders in the config > Planets. This will require a lot of effort for someone not used to doing this. Personally, I recommend going with one mod or the other.
  14. Yes that's a good point. Darn Kopernicus can't handle it well. I was going to add them back in the future but I might either leave them as they are or give them the extra detail they need because they're very boring moons. Cheers for that reminder
  15. Dusk was removed. Dread and kibbos are also being temporarily removed for maintenance unless I finish them both before the next update.
  16. Seeing as the vert height curve 2 PQSmod already uses this, it could be as simple as a copy-paste job (assuming licence... stuff...) I was thinking that if you got that working, you could apply it to the river PQS (not looked at it yet so I don't know how it works) so that you can have the mountain gorges - the ones that run down the sides of mountains.
  17. Gaia means the god of earth, or earth itself. You are correct!
  18. Sure thing! He may hate me for this, but take a look at @The White Guardian's tutorials on the forum and youtube! (Jk TWG, they're very useful no matter how much you hate making then) And if you're still stuck, join the discord link that I put in the main post on this topic where we can chat in real time.
  19. DjPreside has created this amazing logo for the Gaia Space Agency!
  20. Use a picture. Double click it, then put in the link to the space dock page.
  21. I like them! The last one will probably be getting in. I have a lot of Gaia system screenshots (since I'm talking with people in the mod discord) so I can only really have the last one. If you come across anything amazing on your travels, just shoot the screenies this way - everyone has their unique ways for pictures and I love them!
