Dang... it makes me laugh for about 30 seconds... @tater , really nice pictures, I don't know what I would give to see an Osprey for the first time, even more during the transition maneuver. About the topic, here is a small compilation of my favorite pictures of the last six months around the Space Center with nine different launches (I stupidly missed SBIRS GEO-4 on 19 Jan as I simply forgot to press the REC button hard enough): - 11 October 2017 - Echostar 105 - Falcon 9 v1.2 - 15 December 2017 - Dragon CRS-13 - Falcon 9 v1.2 - 07 January 2018 - ZUMA - Falcon 9 v1.2 - 31 January 2018 - GovSat 1 - Falcon 9 v1.2 - 06 February 2018 - Tesla Roadster Toward Mars - Falcon Heavy - 01 March 2018 - GOES-S - Atlas V 541 - 06 March 2018 - Hispasat 30W-6 - Falcon 9 v1.2 - 02 April 2018 - Dragon CRS-14 - Falcon 9 v1.2 - 15 April 2018 - AFSPC 11 - Atlas V 551 I hope I will be able to catch some better ones tomorrow for TESS.

281: Refuting rule number 280 AND jumping nine other rules at the same time. 282: Calling a launcher a rocket, and/or an optimized rocket with guidance unit a "guided-rocket" instead of a missile.

What is green at first then dark at then end?

Even MORE Fair and Balanced!

Thank you Blasty! Yesterday was a bit particular, I had to work on my business, and end a studies report, or go to Atlas V... hum... priority to Atlas V! I don't know how long I will stay in this sector, so it is better to enjoy it before having to move away from this beautiful chance.

Supersonic RC-Plane does is possible?
XB-70A replied to Pawelk198604's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I guess it will also be subject to a special clearance from the local administration managing the air transport, the authorities, and the ATC zone. Today, in most of the World's countries, supersonic flights are forbidden over inhabited sectors (the range from can vary), natural reserves, and some others, even at high altitude. Excepted some military flights (interceptions, exercises), you always need to drop a request with a justification. -
No but a real town of 2 587 inhabitants (2010), there is even another microscopic place named Russia a bit southern, in New Jersey: https://factfinder.census.gov/faces/tableservices/jsf/pages/productview.xhtml?src=bkmk https://geonames.usgs.gov/apex/f?p=gnispq:3:0::NO::P3_FID:879865 It was hard to find another particular one with Y, but the Russian Federation gave us a present: Yb (550 peoples according to Geonames)

Here is my small contribution to the "live" community. The pictures were took from a parking spot of Playalinda Beach, about 10 km/6 miles from the LC-41.

Russia... in New York! Oh, you mean the legendary F-word town? At the world scale not so far... about 1000 km South-West The one is called "Moncuq", a small town North of Montauban in France, but pronounced locally it sounds like saying "my cheeks", the roughest way.

Agree, this without counting the still "low" number of Tesla models in service and the sectors they are used in. It's reminding me the story of the Ilyushin Il-86: considered as one of the safest (if not the safest) Soviet airliner of its time with only two fatal accidents, with a total of 18 souls lost, in a bit more than 30 years of operation, but only for a bit more than 100 units built.

Aaaah, interesting, thanks for the answer. Surprising, as I remember having saw her multiple time in Nice some years ago, and her flight history is showing that she flew to Alicante, Mallaga, Mallorqua, Split, and Tenerife recently. The 737-800 on the picture Looking closely at the front section the last three letters of the registration EI-FJO (Echo-India-Fox'-Juliet-Oscar) are painted over the windshield.

Wow, the Norwegian's livery is really beautiful with such natural lights. Were you on the way to a Mediterranean location? Just curious as Juliet Oscar is frequently assigned to this sector.

Interesting, thanks for tip! I lived for nearly 3 years close to a small village where the two welcoming signage were regularly stolen... on another hand, when you give a village a name that can be interpreted as "my rump", well... About the topic: Radium, Kansas

If I'm remembering right, the legal system in the U.S. does not allow some information to be made public by the Safety Board and those concerned when the inquiry is on the way, so I could understand a removal of the manufacturer from the procedure. The "best" being that it works. This "Muskization" of everything attracts the crowds, and it gives a certain strength to him and his followers.

Pretty funny as I read some information about Llanfairpwllgwyngyll (sorry, I mean "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch") yesterday! Anyway, nobody can win the Kiwis and their legendary record-holding hill: They said some have tried to read and spell it on a single breath, but none of them ever came back... Riyadh

Because we never do things complicated enough: El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula (became what today is known as Los Angeles).
