For technical reasons the publication date of Contares 1.8.2 shifts by about 2 weeks. As compensation, there will always be pictures and information about the state of development. At the moment the reworking of the TechTree affiliation of all parts is in process. The last, missing parts for completing the (CNSA) Khi-carrier rocket series Khi-5, Khi6 and Khi-7 are finished. Work on ISRO is in full swing. The old TUG from 2001: a space odyssey has been reworked and renovated, take a look:
-
During the trip through the Kerbol system, this part came out of the shadow of an insignificant moon. Looks a bit antiquated. Well, with sufficient polish and color becomes a tourist attraction (HAL is hopefully far away)
-
Contares will do the ISRO but only PSLV-CA upwards.
-
Another KURS Docking-Radar variant and a scaleable LowGain antenna. Contares 1.8.2 will be released during the next week. First designs for the next major project ISRO: PAM-G
-
Regarding the compliance of the CoG / CoM, the unnecessary of control surfaces and the compatibility with other mods can be read in previous posts. All gliders can re-enter the atmosphere and be maneuvered to the runway, depending on their limited maneuverability and depending on the pilot's (your) ability.
-
Contares does not waste a thought on the "Dream Chaser".
-
@tjsnh There is only one problem left: The outer light cant be toggle.
-
And this is a kerbalized version of ACRV "Big Soyuz" (impressions from http://www.russianspaceweb.com/soyuz_acts_origin.html) with trusses to fit into 2.5m cargo bay of stock shuttle parts. The upper adapter can carry a 1.25m docking port. The Capsule has 1.875m diameter (like MORGENROT). The Capsule, used as emergency escape system, can carry 5 Kerbals.
-
Yes, the CLS1K "Copper Hopper", based on "Golden Spike" LM project, will be included in the next release. Yesterday the IVA-Placeholder (minimum IVA) and the lighting were finished. The texture still needs a little fine sanding.
-
BIG SOYUZ was not even a real project and dates back to the 90s. MORGENROT is a fictional vehicle that is oriented by "Super Soyuz or ZARYA" from 1989 and reflects the idea of a spaceship which can be landed without a parachute.
-
There is, in my opinion, far too little information on the projects mentioned above in order to design meaningful parts. If you have more information, drawings, design sketches and so on, then bring along!

Micro-Space-Tug on Orbit
-
Thank You for the idea! Part comes with next update.
-
@CaptKordite Here the Tourist- (or reconnaissance) -Orbital-Module
-
Still a crude idea. A one Kerbal Service Tug.
-
Well, there are already two potential applications for the part
-
For the stuff from the Stone Age of space travel is actually Beale responsible? Your interpretation with tantares parts reminds me very much of this: Raumpatrouille: Lancet 1965 German Science Fiction Series What you think about this: Orbital-Module with many plane Windows, two bulb windows and one integrated telecope.
-
CLS1K in VAB Textures are very simple now.
-
Yes, for safety both sides of the bulb can be open. Btw. RCS comes on the small 3 trusses on the edge of the main body. The upper cone can be fit with a Contares 0.3125 m Service-Docking-Module.
-
Here is a concept to a mini-Landing-Device for asteroids and moons without atmosphere based of two renders of "Golden Spike". The Lander holds one Kerbal in a small (0.9375 m) bulb.
-
New parts without real counterparts. Contares Lander-Can for two Kerbals Contares Inline-Cupola
-
Comparison of different Contares carrier rockets

Last one of the Khi-Series: Khi-6 Stage 1 1x RK-K-100 diameter 1.50m Stage 2 1x RK-K-115 diameter 1.25m Stage 3 Khi-PBV
