  1. This has also been reported in the EVE thread and I believe it comes from that mod. I could be mistaken.
  2. If you're not using CKAN, then what @Padishar said comes down to this after you download the zip file: You really need to learn how to do this since any mod can be installed by checking the OP and following the instructions you find there.
  3. Nice mod. I added it to an existing save and it seems to be working as advertised. I haven't yet unlocked the TST scopes so I've been exploring only with the T-75M. Might I suggest that in the process description on the OP, you mention that after targeting the unknown object and pointing the telescope at it you might have to click multiple times to successfully track it and that this action draws EC. I almost completely drained my batteries trying to track Ike without realizing.
  4. @John FX Go to the applicable mod folder in the GameData directory. Look for the *.version file and open it for editing with any decent text editor (I use Notepad++. The structure should look something like this (I've chosen GCMonitor as my example): Modify the KSP_VERSION.PATCH and KSP_VERSION_MAX.PATCH values to 5. Which reminds me - I need to get the latest version of GCMonitor.
  5. This might not be a Orbital Science problem. In my brief experience with the game, and since my telescope is still there, I've noticed that sometimes after I install a new mod, an old one hiccups. I delete the MM configuration files (the four in the Gamedata folder) and force it to rebuild. This often solves my problem with parts not showing up. Always backup your games. A useful utility for this is S.A.V.E.
  6. If you have the time, I would like to see the AmpYear toolbar icon change colour to reflect the in-flight EC charge/discharge status. Just a thought.
  7. Have you tried backing up and then modifying the .version file to change the KSP_VERSION_MAX entries?
  8. KSP 1.0.5 32-bit, Win7 64-bit, Scatterer v0.023 (updated via CKAN) Another potential problem. All Scatterer features were off except Terrain Shadows. On startup, KSC is fine but if I return to it during the game I get tilted KSC and there is no rotation control - the screen is fixed - but I can still enter the buildings that I can get my mouse to. If I exit to the menu, and resume the game, KSC remains blue, vertical and unresponsive. If I restart KSP, KSC displays correctly until I return to it. I disabled Terrain Shadows without any noticeable effect. I've rebuilt the MM database. Output_Log Diagnosing continues... Edit 1: Removing Scatterer solves the problem. Edit 2: Using the .dll from above seems to solve the problem. Still testing. I have noticed, however, that using Scatterer adds considerably to the memory load. I need to do some more work to quantify this.
  9. I don't understand the buttons on the Power Manager/Reserve Power section which have 3 values for each of "Reserve to Main" and "Main to Reserve". Are these power levels of the first part at which power is transferred from the first to the second?
  10. Just to close the loop on this one, the problem seemed to solve itself. After several game restarts, access to that particular save was restored magically. Don't know why but once it did, the Kerbal was back to work. For anyone who's interested, I also did some more research on the persistent.sfs file here for another save file issue.
  11. There is indeed a "thingy" for the best answer post that you'll want to select. It's a check mark just above the "Vote this answer up" icon on the left side of the post. Just so you know, as @KasperVld advised me recently, the functionality was broken over the weekend and it wasn't there. It's been restored and is available now!
  12. Thanks, I thought I was going crazy because I thought I'd done it before and now couldn't find any clue as to how to do it.
  13. Looking sharp. Any visibility on a release timeframe? After 1.1? Before?
  14. Not that I'm aware of within KER. Have you considered Precise Node (plotting a series of maneuvers and then viewing the summary window) or the Transfer Window Planner?
  15. How do you get the blue fill on the member name? It appears as a link but I'm having difficulty determining was the source is. Is the formatting automatic or manual? Are you dragging and dropping something?
  16. My sincere apologies; lazily, I simply looked at the OP. Thanks to you, too! Re: output log - ok, thanks and good to know. There's stuff in there that I'm sure indicate something's not working correctly (I search for "error", for example). However, if the game is working, I tend to leave it alone.
  17. Thanks for helping but I seem to have solved the problem (well, more like it disappeared by itself). I use S.A.V.E. to backup my games and I reverted to an earlier version. Poof...the parts are back, my craft have returned and the Kerbal is awaiting rescue. I've lost some progress but nothing catastrophic that would make me throw the game out the window. I have no idea what happened. My KSP.log file has, therefore, been overwritten so I can't be of any more help but I will remember to capture it in the future. Your last comment begs the question, is my output.log file supposed to be that big? Should it be smaller? I have 54 mods installed, which doesn't seem excessive, but I'm still new at this game. Finally, thanks to Kingtiger for the great mod. I've enjoyed the better looking rockets. I'm not very far into the tech tree so I'm looking forward to seeing more of it soon.
  18. Thanks. I finally got this working with the latest release from Curse and a manual install. I would prefer a CKAN-managed install but it is what it is. What does the "Convert save games" option in the Configuration window do? I have Blizzy's toolbar installed and FF's "Use Stock Toolbar" option was disabled when I first opened the config window. However, I configure a FF button on Blizzy's toolbar; it's just not available. Is this known/expected behaviour? When I enable the FF option to use the stock toolbar, it appears as expected. The default hotkey (Left-Alt F) conflicts with the GCMonitor mod's function to display its data. Not a big deal as long as they're in sync. Could the FF hotkey become user definable (I ask this because FF is 1.0.5 compatible but GCMonitor is built for 1.0.4 and may not be under active management)?
  19. Is it just me or are the two options on the OP survey the same at the moment? Kinda hard to choose between them if there are or is it just a sneaky way of saying it doesn't matter, Nereid will do what he wants anyway.
  20. Something has borked my career save and I'm trying to diagnose it. When I go the the SAVE interface on startup and check on the status of the save I'm interested in reverting it shows "CORRUPT". What does this mean (apart from the obvious) and is there anything I can do about it. Edit 1: I went back even further in the save history and two things seem to have occurred. First, the save was no longer flagged as corrupt and, second, the save didn't appear to have the original problem. I guess this answers my second question although I'd like to understand why. That, I'm afraid, might never happen.
