  1. @Method Missing and @Franctireur I have thought of one possible fix to your issue, but I don't know if it applies. In your GameData folder, Module Manager creates CACHE files to speed up the loading of the game. If you delete these files, before launching the first time with the Tech Tree, does it fix your problems?
  2. I cannot figure out why this wouldn't work for you. There is nothing in the file that would prevent it from working. Just to make sure that it is "installed" correctly, do you have the HPTechTree folder in the GameData folder?
  3. #5 is different from what is used with the original RSS bodies. It was based on the time span in 1949, but other than that, GREAT job!
  4. I agree with you. The problem with the early game in respects to Historical Progression is that the beginning part of the Space Race was very slow going. There were a lot of failed attempts and the successes were usually just another satellite that was sent up so more knowledge could be gained about telemetry. I tried to keep out the repetitive missions, but I will be adding them in as optional in the future so players can have more missions to do similar things if they choose to play that way.
  5. Hey @baldamundo, the way the contract pack works is that during the early part of the game, there is only usually one historical progression contract available at a time. This is because they all build off of each other. Once you get into the timeframe of the late 1960's into the 70s and 80s there are a lot more concurrent missions that will be available at the same time.
  6. Great minds think alike. This is already incorporated and will be part of the next release.
  7. Sorry you are running into some issues with the install, but it sounds like you are doing it right. The only thing I can think of is that you have a conflicting mod installed. In that case, this tree will not appear. Here is the list of mods that this will NOT work with: Community Tech Tree SETI Community Tech Tree SETI Tech Tree Engineering Tech Tree Open Tech Tree Realistic Progression-0 SETI Unmanned Before MAnned
  8. Hi @Starslinger999, Sorry for the late response to your message. I will definitely be adding some of the Moon Base missions, but I will be adding them as futuristic missions. It is my opinion that technologically, we were not ready to create long-term habitats on the Moon prior to the developments that took place on Mir and the ISS.
  9. Hi @linuxgurugamer, I wanted to have at least one way for the players to build planes at the beginning of the game. I know that it can be used to launch Kerbals on rockets as well, but it is up to the player to follow the spirit of the pack.
  10. Hey @gamerscircle, I watch you quite a bit on Twitch and you were actually using the other modpack by @Whitecat106 previously called Historic Missions. I am assuming that is the issue you were having.
  11. UPDATE TO VERSION 1.2 Fixed issue with Kerbal Reusability Expansion parts NEW MOD SUPPORT KW Rocketry @linuxgurugamer
  12. Thanks @linuxgurugamer! This is the same error that @million_lights reported, new release coming in the next 30 minutes with KW Rocketry support!
  13. Hey @Cheesecake, the part that you referenced is the Thrust Plate adapter from Procedural Fairings. That is in specializedConstruction, but the increased fairing sizes are in the correct place. As for Very Heavy Aerodynamics, it shows up correctly in my game. I changed the names of the nodes in order to make more sense with where they are located in the tree. The issue I see with your code is below: @PART[FAIRING11P|FINS|URM2 DEC]:NEEDS[ANGARA,!SETIctt,!SETItechtree,!ETT,!OpenTree,!RP-0,!UnmannedBeforeManned,!CommunityTechTree]:AFTER[ANGARA] { @TechRequired = experimentalAerodynamics } SHOULD BE: It is important to know that Capitilization is case sensative, also spaces are not allowed. So where you have URM2 DEC actually needs to be URM2?DEC @FL-T400 Near Future mods are definitely on the list to be incorporated. Looking at MechJeb, it should actually work just fine without any changes.
  14. I figured out the issue with this, thank you for the bug report. I will be updating tonight! I will add Kerbalism to the list of future mods to be supported. @Deimos Rast, I don't disagree with you, but my issues with tech trees is that when engineers need to design something to fit a role, they design it. They may need to borrow from other disciplines, but when they need an engine powerful enough to launch a specific rocket, they build it. This style of tree assumes that with each tier, the corresponding technology groups have caught up to it. The way I look at it, the research points used to unlock the tech node is the "currency" that is used as borrowing from other disciplines.
  15. There are no dependencies of mods, there are just supported mods. Base game works just fine, there will be some empty nodes towards the end of the tree.
  16. Congratulations to @nightingale on the huge update to Contract Configurator. If you download the new version of these contracts, you must have at least version 1.15.3 of Contract Configurator! 18. Historical Progression Tech Tree This tech tree is designed to take you through the history of the human space program. I always felt like the stock tech tree was lacking and did not like the placement of the parts. There are other tech trees that utilize the stock tech tree and move parts around and that is what inspired me to create a new tech tree like this. The tree will start you with Unmanned parts before you progress to learning how to send Kerbals into Space safely. What I did with this tree is create a linear approach to Research. The entire tree is broken down into space associated disciplines so you are not required to research new fuel tanks before you get bigger and better engines. This allows the player to drive their research focus. If you as the player wants to get the next tier of electronics to support your craft, you have that option. TECH TREE BRANCHES ROCKETRY Rocket Engine Parts JET ENGINES Jet Engine Parts FUEL TANKS Rocket Fuel Tanks Liquid Fuel Tanks Advanced Fuel Tanks AERODYNAMICS Fairings Advanced Wings Nose Cones Intakes ENGINEERING Adapters Decouplers Landing Gear Service Bays Fuel Ducts Docking Ports Rover Wheels FLIGHT CONTROL Probe Cores RCS MonoProp Tanks Winglets Reaction Wheels CREW SUPPORT Command Pods Cockpits Parachutes Heat Shields Life Support SCIENCE All Science Parts ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATIONS Power Generation Power Storage Antennas Heat Control TECH TREE TIERS The tiers are organized from left to right and are listed in numerical order. These are the tiers and the corresponding years that I have used for the placement of the parts. TIER 1: 1956 and Earlier This only includes the starting node with many more parts moved to the starting node than in Stock. There are also a node for Wings and Structural Pieces to remove them from the other nodes. TIER 2: 1957 - 1958 This was the era when we moved from Sounding Rockets to ICBM's and finally to our first satellites like Sputnik and Explorer 1. TIER 3: 1959 During this time, humans successfully flew by the Moon with the Luna program as well as developed the first techniques of returning capsules from space. TIER 4: 1960 - 1963 These years are when Manned spaceflight first happened. Yuri Gregarin became the first person in space and in orbit, with Vostok 1 and the US launched astronauts in the Mercury Program. The first unmanned missions to another planet took place with flybys of Venus. TIER 5: 1964 - 1966 This tier was when we progressed from single manned flights to multiple people in the same spacecraft. The duration of the flights in space increase from short times to up to two weeks. The techniques used to rendezvous and dock ships together were devloped during these years as well as the first landing on the Moon with Luna 9. TIER 6: 1967 - 1971 We landed men on the Moon! This was the ultimate goal of both the US and USSR and the technology developed for huge rockets to launch men to the Moon as well as other unmanned spacecraft to Mars and Venus. TIER 7: 1972 - 1979 This was the time when humans learned how to live in space. The Soviets launched their Salyut space station program and the United States did the same with Skylab. The first missions to the outer planets also took place with Pioneer 10, Pioneer 11, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2. Viking 1 also became the first successful landing on Mars. TIER 8: 1980 - 1993 The Space Shuttle Era where we concentrated on living in Low Earth Orbit. The Soviets launched the Mir space station which was the first modular space station. TIER 9: 1994 - 2005 Long-term space habitation and rovers on Mars was the major focus during this period. Pathfinder became the first rover on another planet, humans lived for more than a year on Mir, and the construction of the International Space Station began. TIER 10: 2006 - 2020 Back to the Moon or on to Mars? New technologies are being developed by many companies to provide the tools needed for humans to get back to the Moon and to also look to Mars as well. TIER 11: 2020 - 2050 Near future technologies. These are experimental things that are in development right now that may one day help us reach farther than we ever have before. TIER 12: 2050 and beyond These technologies have not been developed yet, or they are just on the drawing board. Things like Warp Drives and FTL travel and Nuclear Fusion will take us to the stars. REQUIRED MODS Module Manager HIGHLY SUGGESTED MODS Hide Empty Tech Tree Nodes by @ev0 INSTALLATION Make sure you have Module Manager Installed Copy HPTechTree folder into your GameData folder MOD CONFLICTS There will only be mod conflicts with mods that are new tech trees or move parts around in a different organization. Community Tech Tree Engineering Tech Tree SETI Tech Tree Unmanned Before Manned RP-0 Open Tech Tree SUPPORTED PARTS MODS Every parts mod will be supported out of the box as the design of the tech tree utilizes the existing nodes from the stock tech tree. For the most part, you will not have many conflicts as the parts will appear where the mod creator wanted them to. They will not necessarily show up in the exact proper place. If you would like to add support for your mod, please contact me. If you have a request for a mod to be fully supported, please let me know. 19. Hi @frango9000, thanks for the kind words about the pack. If I had to guess, Historic Missions covers every mission that I have in here. The only real difference is that some of the missions I have created are more involved with more steps than some of the Historic Missions. Eventually, there will be some new missions, but that will be later game stuff.
  20. In the GameData/ContractConfigurator folder there is one called logs
  21. Can you provide the contract configurator logs for those contracts with errors? I will be able to help you hopefully.
  22. Your English is just fine! There is an issue with that Mission that I hope to have fixed for the next release. I am not releasing another version until the new Contract Configurator comes out. For the time being, I would ALT-F12 to open the debug menu and force complete the contract to move on. Sorry for the issue with that one, it has proven a tricky one to fix.
