Nope, that contest is done now ... I won apparently Anyways, here's my first attempt ... 517 dv short of orbit at around 77 000 meters This is totally possible ... I'm pretty sure given some time someone will succeed in completing this challenge successfully

Unfortunately B9 Procedural Wings is not allowed for the current competition ... the mods listed in the OP of this thread are the mods allowed for the current challenge All mods being used have been tested on various systems to be sure they play nicely with each other ... B9 wasn't playing nice with the others -

Another thing that I have just discovered .... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The AI Pilot is unable to use Rapiers in Air Breathing mode if landed .... The craft will not take off since the AI pilot is trying to use the closed loop mode like it uses the afterburners on a Panther engine ... if the craft is landed or below it's set cruise/combat speed in flight, then it will switch to the more powerful mode of the engine which in this case is closed loop mode For atmospheric AI competitions, this precludes a competitor from using the Rapier unless said competitor adds Oxidizer to account for this --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Git issue has been opened to address this although it is doubtful that there will be a fix before battle commences -

I will bring to your attention that having multiple types of weaponry on your craft is a waste as the AI can only fire one type at a time On another note, I have decided to leave the Platypus as is for the competition -

The premise is simple ... Destroy Team B in one mission with extreme prejudice There are 2 floating Jernas Turrets just off the coast of the KSC. There are also 3 ground based Jernas Turrets located to the North, West and South of the KSC as well as one AI Drone at the Island Airport ... All the Jernas Turrets are armed with 4 AMRAAM's each Download the save file, play it, record it or take screenshots and post your results here ... This will cause issues with the AI as having 2 AI pilots on one craft can cause havoc with the code ... The battles will be run using competition mode which requires the AI to take off from the ground so having the second AI onboard may cause a wing slap shimmy to take place I also should mention that there is an obscure bug that occurs when using the Spawn Vessel function in Vessel Mover ... Craft that have been spawned which have decouplers or structural pylons set to decouple in the landing gear action group tend to decouple not when the gear is raised by the AI Pilot, but when the craft reaches take off speed as set in the AI -

I think there was a misunderstanding as I even thought that submissions were ending at 9pm MST from the way it was worded In my case it's all good as the Platypus will live free or die in a stream of gunfire I also removed the flag from my craft to make it a bit easier on you when setting up the battles ... there was a mod called flag switch or something like that for 1.0.5 but I'm unsure of its status (or its name apparently ) -

I Bring this to your attention ... So according to the rules as posted you cannot resubmit your craft after you have already submitted one .... This prevents misunderstandings arising between contestants if a contestant were to claim that the host used the wrong version Also there has been some tweaks made to the damage and penetration system in BDAc so what was true in previous versions may not be so true now -

Remember that turrets must be locked in the forward position ... 0-0-0 No yaw, no pitch and no rotation -

I'd love to see some modular roll cages and ru bars (crash bars ... they're called ru bars down below since hitting a kangaroo is the same as hitting a moose up here in the great white north) Some rally racing inspired panels and such would be cool too
