  1. Really ... so the game is finished and no new testing is required for 1.1
  2. I beg to differ ... Steam has metrics that record into a database what system specs players are using to run KSP I discredit your assumptions
  3. There's another aspect of Steam that I don't think many people are aware of and that is the metrics involving system specs that Steam has Squad, and anyone else for that matter, can access these metrics and see what players are using to run KSP as in processor speeds, amount of RAM etc......Very valuable information for a software developer
  4. I personally think that the steam users are getting the short end of the stick ... they're gonna play KSP non stop with multiple builds full of bugs over the next couple weeks and a good portion of them are likely going to end up getting sick of it All to the benefit of us die hard supporters of Squad who will end up getting the polished version afterwards ... Just my 2 cents
  5. If Jeb was piloting the rocket he'd be strapped in a command chair on the outside of it
  6. And here you go ... Suborbital to the Mun, slingshot around the Mun to Minmus and return safely to Kerbin You can watch the video HERE
  7. Totally better than Robot Wars ... less drama mama <redacted> I can see this becoming the next extreme E-sport like they have in Korea with League of Legends although so much better
  8. Did more testing and optimization of my rig for the WW2 BAD-T 2 Tournament as my 970 ist Kaput so I'm stuck using my onboard Radeon HD
  9. I wasn't referring to anyone in particular, just making a statement
  10. What he said^^^^^^ I'd rather wait for a proper release than use nefarious means to get a copy of the game
  11. Why? ... it would mean more work for Squad and could delay the 1.1 release Kinda <redacted> in my opinion
  12. What he said^^^^^^ yes, it was robot wars iirc .. although the robots didn't have an AI pilot so were not really robots
  13. Sandbox for the most part ... I only played science mode a couple times and career a couple times as well I mostly enjoy the impractical, overengineered monstrosities you can create that bring your frame rate down to abysmally low numbers although I've been doing the fighter plane deal a lot lately The forum challenges are a big part of what has kept me playing KSP for the past 3 years
  14. Thanx ... took awhile to do and the lag at times was horrendous but it was a lot of fun I'm waiting for 1.1 to drop so I can redo it with even larger motherships and more overdesigned stuff and many more Kerbals
  15. Here is my mission report if you care to take a look: Dres Love Missions
  16. Once 1.1 gets dropped imma thinkin I'll have to repeat my Dres Love Missions with another bunch of overbuilt monstrosities Imma thinkin about new motherships that will put my 1100 part beast to shame
  17. Once with 80 Kerbals, 37 remote landers, 4 party buses, 4 rovers and 20 or so satellites sent in 4 giant 800+ part monstrosities (1100 parts being the largest one)
  18. Just because something is doesn't mean there has to be a reason for it
  19. It's not just a matter of relaxed eyes, having LED's in such close vicinity to your eyeball increases the likelihood that the receptor cells at the back of your eye will be overstimulated causing impaired vision Ever watch TV in a dark room and then walk into a room with light? ... If you have then you have seen the imprint left by the lack of peripheral light in the dark room you were watching TV in Also everyone will need different focusing lenses based on their eye shape ... Do you really think these VR headsets are going to come with multiple lenses? ... and if they do, how much more is that going to cost and what about a person using the wrong set of lenses in their headset? Looks to me like there are a whole set of issues with VR where your eyes are concerned
  20. Might I suggest you post your questions in the General Discussion or in the Mod Support sections of the forum You could also try reading through the FAR Fighter Challenge and the FAR Craft Repository for helpful tips on designing crafts that fly well in FAR
  21. I was just using the new camera tools and rekeyed it to pgup and pgdn, it worked brilliantly configured like that in combination with vessel switcher
  22. From what I can see it looks like I have the smallest heavy bomber (in front and to the left of the rear flying wing) Looks like this is gonna be an awesome competition ... Especially with the locations our esteemed tetryds has put together for us to fight in (unfortunately everyone has to wait to find out where the locations are as I am sworn to secrecy until after the competition) On another note - I have started testing and optimizing my system for the competition and surprisingly have next to no lag at 1280x720 whilst recording and having the Kerbinside BAD-T as well as the competition mods installed. Unfortunately my 970 ist kaput but my onboard Radeon is holding its own without visual mods so we should have some great fights to watch for tier 2 ... testing continues
  23. Go for 32 ... like you said, its a nice round number for the competition However, may I suggest you allow Pds314's late entry to be the extra plane you need?
