Well, I saw a NOVA on the ark story, and apparently the rivers in Mesopotamia flooded often and they had to load all the animals and food and stuff into these round boats to keep them from being swept away. I don't know about flood stories from other parts of the world, though. I would be really careful about hygiene in past times, though, because there was a lot of stuff they didn't know kills people. Also, ceiling heights. People were really short back then, and I'm definitely not.

I learned about delta-V and Hohmann transfers and all that before I knew the first thing about mods, so I got good at interplanetary stuff on a calculator and a protractor (same one that is now a gravitational bitant). I got KER for a while, but now I've decided that tapping on my calculator mid-flight is more fun! Well, I do like launching rockets too...I hope to go to space in one someday. I will certainly bring my speedcube, though, and a computer with KSP!

What should things sound like?
cubinator replied to EnderKid2's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Rover wheels need motor sounds, and RCS rockets should make a sound like a sharp "PSSSHHT". -
No, it's not. A calculator, on the other hand, is. Welcome to our forum!

I would go have a word with William Herschel about a certain planet.

160: Taking it as a given that "the stock game is unplayable".

Use the Kraken, Luke...

That's not much worse than the real shuttle, which had to deploy a drogue chute seconds before touchdown in order to slow down enough.

Super Hexagon has better music. F1 rocket engine vs. F1 racing

Interesting. I hope he gets interesting results, mine included!

And don't forget the most important effect: If it was the right time of year and in the right plane, it might look like Tatooine! In all seriousness, wouldn't it be cool if humanity showed up because of a bunch of stars exploding? It'd really show how connected all the universe really is, even though everything's so far from each other.

Banned for not being Jeb.

I'm having the same issue, and I think it has something to do with my video card. I still haven't managed to pin down the exact root of the issue, or anything to remedy it though. I also experience frequent BSODs, and frequent crashing happens with Vivecraft and Job Simulator too. The card is an AMD Radeon R9 200 / HD 7900 Series, updated to the latest drivers. Edit: Here is the output_log.txt from the latest crash: BTW that is from my stock install. It happens on my modded one too.

Granted, it's the worst movie ever. I wish to get past the third mothership this time.

Banned for trying to make sense of what WinkAllKerb" says.

Clearing the saved data for this site did the trick!

It worked! I am free! I can post here on mobile again! MUEHEHEHEHE! Do not expose Magic Boulder to raw or undercooked meat or fish.

Actually, I was just going to make a raft and find my way to the nearest continent, I still have to get to space you know. I might actually have some kind of boat in some cases.

Why does it take so long to realize you forgot something?
cubinator replied to maranble14's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The first rover I ever made went to Eve, landed in the ocean (no biggie, it'll still get lots of science), I did the experiments, then looked for the antenna to transmit it home. It wasn't there! I always try to double-check everything so that stuff like this doesn't happen again, but on big ships or elaborate missions it can be really hard. -
I'd play with water bubbles, maybe bring a goldfish to watch?
-
Granted, it stabs you right through the chest and is made of sodium. I wish for a computer that always does exactly what I want it to, when I want it to.

3D internal view of Apollo 11 command module

Cool! -
You're talking about fifteen F1 engines firing at the same time. What would you launch with such a rocket?

Make Synchronized Satellite Networks Easy
cubinator replied to cubinator's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
For the record, I don't use KER or Mechjeb, and always play with a calculator on hand. (Like, if it's not on my desk next to me, I will stop and go look for it before continuing.) I think if they're going to make it necessary to make sat constellations they ought to make it easier to do so in the stock game. If the comms system turns out not to need that then it should be fine as is. As it's still unclear exactly how the system will operate, and whether a mechanic is already being put in place, this thread is still only speculative, unless a dev were to chime in. As for what I'm going to do with my game right now, I'll Hyperedit the sats into perfect orbits after launching them into near-perfect orbits manually. I can justify it because real sats keep their position much better than stock KSP sats, and I've already launched them with a perfectly clean, non-cheaty lifter.
