  1. Once I get GPP updated to include the next release of scatterer, I highly recommend taking a dive around Gael or Tellumo. lots of stuff to see under the waves.
  2. I checked it out a few days ago, and was super surprised. People are usually all over his mods asking for updates. I refuse to ask however even if I sorely want it
  3. **furiously looks for broken things to put in the oven** If this works my marriage will be saved! Ok, that was darker than I anticipated
  4. A quick look at your cfg, Solar power curve is depreciation and not used anymore. I probably would put an apostrophe in my directory. If it's that much text, host it on a separate site like pastebin.com. Having huge blocks of text can cause issues on the forum, and send anyone following this thread phantom notifications. So I would remove it and post it again using a link
  5. Well, to be fair, they have waited a very long time for a playable game... sooo, I have no qualms with that, but I also haven't read that anywhere either. Sources? If they get it for free, I'd say that's pretty fair. While we have enjoyed and loved every minute of this game, they have been stuck with a broken bit of software for the better part of a year.
  6. Also, the visual mods don't work because you will need to change all instances of the name "Earth" to "Kerbin" if you use my path. @Phineas Freak how relevant is my patch now that kopernicus more or less rolled back its changes to work with the old way cfgs were written? I haven't tested anything in a while Yeah that will change the name back to earth in the GUI. When I wrote this patch, cbNameLater wasn't functioning correctly in Kopernicus. Like a day later Kopernicus got an update that fixed it I think. Just leave the displayName in there .
  7. Yes? That's because of the changes in kopernicus. The old way to rename planets is depreciated in favor of displayName. So instead of renaming Kerbin to Earth, kopernicus will now just change the names in the GUI. Internally the game will still see it as Kerbin You can still use cbNameLater to change the name like before if you really want to.
  8. RSS is not compatible with 1.3. that Null is for City lights btw. Which has nothing to do with RSS, but perhaps a visual mod? Anyway, I made a patch bringin RSS up to speed with 1.3. Just have to read one page back. My patch does not fix visual mods, just merely make RSS work. It's up to the visual mod maker to update their work. If you are using RSSVE, I have posted a patch on that thread as well.
  9. Not really. There are a lot of tutorials for how to make planets all over the forum though without using KittopiaTech initially. A quick search will wield some results.
  10. exact same. Gael is the exact same size as Kerbin If you use Kscale64 clouds and sunflares don't scale. Day lengths will be off, dish ranges will be messed up, and antenna ranges will be wrong. Why would you want to use KScale64 again?
  11. Our cfgs are more accurate than KScale64 and account for the changes of ALOT more things than just sizes. That mod doesn't change anything except for the sizes, which surprises me because it also uses sigma and doesn't take advantage what sigma is capable of. Yet, everyone swears by it.
  12. I have no idea what you are talking about, but you can use 1.2.2-7 which has all bug fixes and updates that 1.3.0-2 has. And I doubt seriously Thomas will be willing to work any further backwards than he already has for 1.2.2
  13. This is one of my favorite mods, I feel like not many people are aware of its existence. Unfortunately for me, I'm caught up in my own additions to KSP but I always hoped this would be updated.
  14. Oh I know. I always try to provide a cautionary slap on the wrist when I see it
  15. I wasn't suggesting that, I was just using GN as a reference as a mod with a lot of stars that don't cause lag, just so he knows stars don't typically cause a hit to performance. KittopiaTech is the best way to do it.
  16. Sounds like you need to use brightness curves for your stars, but causing lag? I have never heard of a star or multiple causing lag. There are multiple mods that add a ton of stars. KSS and Galactic Neighborhood add a ton of stars and I have seen complete potatos run this mods (sans visual mods). Maybe double check your cfgs and your logs for errors
  17. You never explained what was wrong with the stars, and that screenshot doesn't really show anything a miss. What is the problem?
  18. Did you try what I suggested? Google is your friend. There are so many tutorials out there. KSP doesn't require a special way to make planet textures. Just Google and apply what you learn. I don't expect anyone to have 150+ textures (color, normal, height) so I'm afraid your request for donations will continue to fall on deaf ears. as for PQS tutorials, I'm sure you and find a tutorial around the forum by @The White Guardian Just gotta do your research
  19. That's a bug with hyperedit. Go to the tracking center and return to your vessel. That will fix it
  20. What's crazy is I had tickets for tonight's show in Austin, Tx, but had to sell them because of conflicting scheduled events. Sucks, because I really wanted to hear knights of cydonia live. I do graphic work for the event centers around Austin, so I get free tickets to most shows that come to town
  21. Take the advice above and post our logs. LOGS, PEOPLE! LOGS!
