So it wouldn't be like moving the SpaceCenter? If I cannot move them, could I at least remove them? I have a second planet that uses a Kerbin template. It also has the CommNetDishes but I don't want it to. Moving them would be nice though. The dishes being on the bottom of the ocean in RSS is likely to bother some people lol. The functionality is there so I suppose it's not all that bad -

You can do as you wish with the mod as long as you include the same license with your version and I assume you will attribute the original as well. That's all you will need to do.- 7 replies

If you are not seeing clouds in the main menu, that's normal and a known bug. Actually go into the game and you will see the clouds are there. -

@Sigma88 or anyone that knows: I'm trying figure out how to write the cfg node for moving the CommNetDish around in my planet pack. I have successfully moved them with kittopia tech but when i save the body, there is nothing in the cfg referencing them so i have no idea how to write out that node. I have all of the lon/lat/Alt values ready to go I just really could use a template.. All my attempts have failed miserably -

Like I said in my response above, scatterer does not work in the tracking station or in the main menu. -

Ok well if you do what I recommended you can run the game without being logged in on steam and therefore steam won't auto update your game. So my suggestion should solve your issue -

Try this... instead of running the game from a different location just make a shortcut of your x64 game on the desktop. If you launch from there it bypasses steam which i think is what you are trying to do. may i ask why you want to run it from a back up specifically? -

ok so what was the issue again? Are you just not seeing clouds? and it works when you run it through steam but not on the backup of the game? -

that only happens on in the main menu... i have personally never seen that happen but i do know its because of kopernicus... kinda funny actually But even if i did put the aurora there, HOW DARE YOU QUESTION ME! -

I have done it both ways and i didnt see a difference in performance :/ thats not saying much considering i get over 100 fps...... It would be terribly hard for me to notice the difference -

Those clouds I see in the menu screenshot are SVE's clouds, not EVE's. You will not see scatterer in the main menu or in the tracking station. You have installed it correctly. Just go in game and see for your self. It will be getting rings very soon. -

Its SVE that causes that. Its because i changed the ocean color to black to get a more real effect when splashed down. I will mess aroound with it and see what i can do.- 1,019 replies

Have any pictures of this happening without SVE? That looks like an issue with the normal maps of that part. -

I don't know of a way off the top of my head. I don't think its possible atm. Somethings that worked in the old EVE don't work anymore. If you are doing this cloud layers, I don't think you can make it have a soft edge. The old EVE used to have an atmosphere manager that allowed for the glow around atmospheric bodies. Maybe @Waz can take a look and see if the atmosphere manager is capable of being restored in 1.2. With scatterer being as popular as it is, I'm pretty sure that's why the atmosphere manager in EVE was abandoned by rbray. What should I do next time to make putting it on ckan easier for you guys? I was kind of working blind last time and went off of my assumptions of how CKAN works. Sorry if it was a pain in the butt. If you want to PM that's cool It does for me as well. Maybe I should check that my links work first before I add them lol -

That is a harmless message. It's caused by KSP, scatterer and EVE all have the same name for the asset bundles. Try removing the directx11 from your shortcut menu and see if that fixes the issue.
