Thanks about the DCSS and yes I mean Kerbin escape. Anyway you might be right that 50kn could be a bit to much but the SEC having a 10 minute burn time is imo far to long even from 120km orbit. I am in the middle of playing around with editing the thrust right now and 50kn feels a bit over the top. Personally I do not really care about how the engines are balanced because I can edit them myself but just think that for a broader audience the RL10 is just to small. I think I will leave them around the 40kn area. Not sure.
-
Correct me if I am wrong but the centaur should be capable of launching a lighter probe into a escape trajectory in one burn right? Kerbin with a radius of 1500km makes that impossible. I honestly think it should be 100% of what it is. The real life version burns for around14 minutes and I think for a 2x5 kerbin it should be around 5-6 minutes. Earth has a circumstance of 40000km compared to a 10000km 2x5 kerbin. I did not know the DCSS is in this mod. Whats the ingame term?
-
Ive been playing 2x5 kerbin lately and honestly think the RL10 doesn't scale that well. I wouldn't be bringing it up if the mod wasn't designed for 2.5 kerbin. ~25Kn of thrust seems to low since the burns can last around 10 min. I am no rocket scientists like some of you guys so I do not know the terms but a 10 min burn around earth is not that bad since the circumference it alot bigger. I think the trust should be around 50kn and not be scaled exactly to 25%.

I do not care when it is released but if its not stable on release I might even consider getting a refund until a playable version is release. I am sick of games that are unplayable at release.

Some planets(Eve in this case) can be to dark on their surface for my taste. I remember changing it in the option menu in the past but for some reason I cannot manage to find the settings for it anymore. What am I missing? I know about the menu but no matter what I change it only affects the clouds and not the amount of surface light the ground gets.

Thank you man but as I said I couldn't recreate the bug anymore. -

Intel has been hammering amd with single core performance for the past ten years or more. They will respond or loose a lot of customers. Not in terms of performance. Price per performance yes but Intel never really bothered to much about that. People like myself are more than OK with paying twice the price for better ipc. It makes a massive difference in gaming. -

As I said above I'm waiting for the 30xx series. I am not investing money into obsolete hardware. More memory bandwidth is nice but is barley noticeable in games especially the ones I currently play. I'm probably going to buy the 3070 or 80. If I need a cpu I will get it but buying a cpu just before Intel responds to ryzen is a bad move imo. -

I know they are good but replacing a 4770K is a waste for now. Its only a 20% single core performance boost and that is not enough considering the age of the 4770. You need to keep in mind that right now I only play KSP, stellaris and F1 games. I do not see the point in upgrading the whole system and keeping a 970. The 970 was the bottleneck in 90% of the other games I played. I will always regret not getting a 980 -

I have done some tests now and I cannot even recreate the issue in a new save game. Everything working fine. -

Its unlikely that bluedog or part mods cause the issue. Can you give me a screenshot of your game data folder? It might help me. I have all mods up to date. A reinstall will probably not work. Personally I split my data folder into 2 parts. I test the mods 50/50. 25/25. 12/13 etc. It's the fastest way to find conflicts. @Sigma88 does it matter if Kopernicus is installed during an existing save game or are new save games recommended? -

No. Physics is never yellow especially since 1.8. This craft is an anomaly. Edit: I can run 15x physics acceleration at 30 fps with a 30 part vasmir craft and it runs great. I never really considered GPU being an issue before 1.8 but now it seems to be the case. I'll need to look at the current hardware market and maybe get something like a 2080 or 2070. Ksp 2 will probably be heavier on GPU anyway when mods start coming. Not to mention I want a 4k system for the future. Maybe even an additional 16gb of ram and I might be able to squeeze a year or 2 out of my 4770k. It's still a good cpu and maybe it's best to skip a gen or 2 of cpu. If ksp2 needs a better cpu can upgrade then. The game is 6 months away anyway. I might even wait for next gen cards. That's all assuming ksp2 is not trash. Edit 2: next gen cards are only a few months away so I'll wait. Waste of money to buy the 20xx series. -

everything you can think of including restock and scatterer. Normal craft are 40-60 fps. Its just the massive stations that can be extreme. To be fair this station almost never has this many vessels docked. I cannot stand 10 FPS. Its a mun fuel station where I transport LH2 from the surface to the station. (I use mun over minmus because its 1 day from kerbin) There are 5 big vessels attached, Redirct orion craft and an alcor lander with 60 parts. In total its 250 parts. -

I do not really get good results this way. I will try it again however because I have not really done since 1.8.1 Please do. Would be cool to know the fps because I do not think SLI would make much difference. I wish we had a community benchmark craft and maybe even mod folder to compare the current hardware. If you use kerbal engineer it will tell you exactly how many parts you are using. -

Has this issue been resolved because I have this without cheating to eve. I also reloaded to be on the safe side. I kind of reacted to slow to it and left the surface but my flag is still there. If you want to I can provide you my gamedata folder. Anything to help out I do have 130 mods installed however so that could be an issue. I would like to add that I have landed on pretty much all planets including OPM ones with 1.8.1 and the all are working perfect. -

What's your cpu and gpu specs and what fps do you have with 400 parts. I'm not sure if I should invest in an upgrade. I have a 250 part station right now and it is at 10 fps. Thing is I am almost certain my 970 is the bottleneck and not my 4770k. Maybe even ram lol. Everything is maxxed out but I have the feeling it's gpu. -
KSP Needs life support. PLEASE
dave1904 replied to Marshall Hopp's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Life support mods add to much to the game to be left out of stock KSP2. IMO any player that has the skill to land on the mun has the skill to take life support into account. -
You already have but I agree.
