  1. Memory crash. You have graphics mods and some pretty large part packs, try removing some mods or check out this thread. https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/120387-some-relief-for-memory-outage-crashes/
  2. 1) No. Ships in the background are "on rails" and will continue to go around their orbits, but their orbits cannot be changed. 2) I don't think so, but I don't know. 3) The Comm net has additional ground stations all around Kerbin. I believe you can turn these off somewhere in the difficulty settings. Also a note: Ascent Guidance is for getting your craft to orbit, not on-orbit procedures. Most of the rest of MechJeb is for that. Have fun and I hope this helps! Kerbalstar
  3. I think my probe will be a little late. Sorry, RL, tomorrow though.
  4. Sounds good! I'll work on it tomorrow. Real life and other KSP stuff interfered today, but tomorrow I'll whip up something. Also, just a lander and return or the launcher to? If the former than I'd like to know the tonnage capabilities and excepted range of the launcher(LKO, LMO, etc.). I think that the launcher is the hardest part so either way is fine with me.
  5. @GarrisonChisholm, if you're still open I'll try to get a Minmus\Mun probe to you by tomorrow.
  6. Thanks! Looks nice. Looking forward to seeing more pictures @Clipperride!
  7. I'm planning to try this after I finish my all stock grand tour(Thread coming soon.). It looks so cool. Planning to try it otherwise completely stock, like you, because doing my all stock grand tour has made me realize how fun(and fast!) stock is.
  8. @NCommander, I think that F5/F9'ing for planes is fine. Really wonderful mission report by the way, and sorry about Jeb. Also, I've worried about hitting the space station after undocking, but never the launcher after decoupling though. I could see it happening. I actually did hit the space station once, in a career save.
  9. What Life Support mod is that? All joking aside, I see. Oh, well. Thanks.
  10. Okay. I might do something. So this is sort of like the Moderation Nation Space Program.(Check mission reports.) Hey, @Vanamonde whatever happened to that? I really liked it.
  11. I'm pretty sure that a structural failure is having to much weight on the connection. Try autostrutting and rigid attaching everything, and if that doesn't work manual struts. I have those problems all the time.
  12. I've hit a bit of a wall. Some of my mods are gone. At first I thought it was just SpaceY and reinstalled it. Then I flew a mission, and realized that the rescale mod was gone. I can reinstall out but this is very annoying, and I'm sick. Currently working on a stock Jool-5 attempt.
  13. Oh bah! I do dockings without RCS 90% of the time. 5% of the time I use RCS, the other 5% MechJeb/RCS. By that record I should be one of the most famous people around here. Glitches like this always make me worry that the connection will either fail with no warning or will refuse to decouple when i want it to. Scary stuff. I agree. @Alpha 360, wonderful mission report here. I love the missions, the narration, everything. And I agree @Geschosskopf and @CatastrophicFailure are two of the most famous people around here as well as @Kuzzter and @Just Jim!
  14. I've been busy with distractions(challenges) in stock KSP. I have multiple GameData folders not multiple installs. Tomorrow after I finish @sevenperforce's Falcon Heavy to Duna challenge, I'll be getting back to this. Sorry! Update Friday, most likely.
  15. @Pleb . I wanted to give more detail earlier, but I had to go somewhere. Mun transfers take about 1.3 km/sec of DeltaV, consistently. I once saw that I had a Mun capture for 600m/sec of DeltaV, but usually it seems to take less, I think. Now some pictures of what I've been doing. Note: This is not Kermanity's first landing on another world, even though, in this save it technically is the backstory is that Kerbals have already landed on the Mun and Minmus. Duna landings and such will be the first kermanned(thanks for the idea @Hotaru) landings on those worlds. More soon!
  16. Thanks. It's possible to reach orbit with stock parts(I think). I haven't done it because I don't want to and apart from Orbiter 1, I've had huge payloads. The base module that I just launched has 6,183m/sec of DeltaV(With leaving 100m/sec in the side boosters for recovery and reaching orbit with about 400 m/sec in the tank). Artemis Station Module 2 had(with only main booster recovery, as the others were SRB's) 5,367m/sec of DeltaV. Keep in mind that these values are for the launcher stages only, with KER in atmospheric mode That's basically all I've done, landings, bases, stations, around the Kerbin system and a one-way trip to Duna. The lander ran out of fuel after having to rendezvous with the mothership using its own engine. Thank you! I'm going to post a very brief summary later today.
  17. Wonderful to see this crazy enterprise get TOTM @Ultimate Steve!
  18. I agree. I once had a Pathfinder base from @Angel-125's wonderful Pathfinder mod fly up into the air and flip on load. Yes. Oh, yes. I have had many painful experiences with that. Yes.
