Good tips for Jool 5
Hypercosmic replied to Stillkill's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
One inportant tip: If your Laythe/Tylo upper stage return vehicle is no larger than 5 tons, then you can put it on a SSTO launch rocket using a C7 1.25-2.5m adapter, orange Rockomax jumbo tank and an optional smaller Rockomax tank. Tested on Kerbin (which requires more delta-v to get into space than both moons). Do not forget to use KER for better delta-v estimation. -
It's like you copied Herobrine myth and edit it so it fits KSP theme. Try again if you want. There are still a lot of places to go.

KSP Interstellar Extended Support Thread
Hypercosmic replied to FreeThinker's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Why are you mining He-3 on gas giants? Why not on Mercury or Luna? On the other note, hydrogen deuteride (which, according to Children of a Dead Earth, is a better solid core NTR fuel) has much more concentration on Neptune than Uranus and Jupiter. Methane, in the other hand, is more abundant on Uranus than on other gas giant planets. -

lights using power
Hypercosmic replied to rockets-don't-make-toast's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I guess they meant the command pod lights? I don't see them draining power either. -
For anyone who don't know what is it, it's a rust-cleaning laser.

The canon version of Bop mentioned that the name was from the Kraken god. Have fun! (I was attacked by a Kraken twice yesterday, both tearing my ships apart and flinging my manned capsules at the fraction of the speed of light.)
-
On my average rescue mission in my current career, I just launch when the doomed ship is flying over the sea to the west of the KSC, then when I got a nice intercept, I cancel out the velocity. Works every single time for me.

You don't have to write all of them. In fact, I don't really care about this. Just Sarvin (GP2), okay?

More planets in our solar system
Hypercosmic replied to IllyrianTheGreat's topic in Science & Spaceflight
MY DICT: World: the human world (countries and politics stuffs, on one planet. For now, I'll put a globe with countries to represent that.) Worlds: the human worlds (still countries and politics, but this time is on multiple celestial bodies. For example, if Phobos has its own sovereignty, I call it a 'world'.) Since they were not fixed, however, I guess I'll keep these meanings ^ ^' -
https://epic.gsfc.nasa.gov/ I know that. I'm using the Earth photo on 21 Dec 2016. It was noon at GMT. Natural colored Earth is the best Earth! RSS need to recolor their textures!

Struck by a Kraken as the lander burns for an intercept. Has to hyperedit to save the sole astronaut. The speed relative to Kerbol was 2746996.6 m/s (about 0.00916c)

More planets in our solar system
Hypercosmic replied to IllyrianTheGreat's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Can I rename those three celestial body categories to my own version? That 'world' sounds weird. In my meaning, 'world' means the human world. And it's perfectly fine to have astronomer call Luna 'moon' and Pluto 'dwarf planet', and planetary scientists call them 'satellite planet' and 'planet' respectively. Just like how astronomer call all elements other than H2 and He 'metal'. -
Kerbal Spice Program 2.0
Hypercosmic replied to EpicSpaceTroll139's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Plastic cup lander. If you felt like 'this is not right', you are not alone. NOTE: With proper relay system, IT ACTUALLY WORKS. It has almost 3.9 km/s of delta-v in space.- 20 replies

Sol can fuse hydrogen into helium, thus it is a star. Luna cannot fuse helium-3, thus it isn't a star. -

No, Luna collected He-3 from Sol's solar wind. -
