I haven't met him much, but I am pretty sure he is a good moderator. He almost always appear when anybody ask about Squad, and even I, back to KSP for less than a month, got to know him. I wish I could've learn more, but let's just say good bye. Stay safe, and step forward. -

The Saga of Emiko Station - Complete
Hypercosmic replied to Just Jim's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Wait, note that this is just one of the components that's really required in the mission! The Kerbin SSTO ascend vehicle design (from top down): 1.25m payload (<5 t on Kerbin, more on Laythe or Tylo) - 1.25m decoupler - C7 1.25-2.5m adapter - (optional) smaller Rockomax tank - Rockomax jumbo tank - Mainsail/Skipper. The design works on Kerbin. The payload to space is less than 5 tons, but it did work. Whenever I say SSTO, I mean you don't have to detach anything during the launch. If this design is used on Kerbin, the launch stage has to be detached as soon as it reaches space, leaving the payload for rendezvous with the mothership. I am sure the actual ascend stage on Tylo can be made smaller than that due to the complete lack of atmosphere. On Tylo, you'll need more than the Rockomax jumbo tank and C7 1.25-2.5m adapter to land, but the ascending phase on both Laythe and Tylo is surely cost less delta-v than on Kerbin, where I conducted my tests on. -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- For Eve, you'll probably want a blimp/fan-propelled plane, both of which require mods. The alternative way is to land on the top of the tallest mountain. -
I made a... trumpet-shaped spaceship.

From what I've heard, there's probably some conflicts leading to this event. One of the staffs had premonitions about it. -

KP-442b! It's our best candidate for a superhabitable planet!!! Make it a tropical planet with resorts extremely diverse biosphere! Also, KP-186f and KP-62e/f sisters. I guess they are on the line, right? On the other note, I went to deviantart and I find it... very scary...

There's far more chance that 1g will be a rocky/water planet. Don't follow the artist concept. Look at the TTV-derived density. In the other hand, 452b is very likely to be gaseous mini-Neptune with horrible atmospheric pressure (thousands of atm) at the 'surface'. AKA, I advice you to swap the planets' textures. If 1f is ever to be implemented, make it a waterworld or gaseous planet due to its apparent low density. The current model of a planetary transition stated that beginning from 1.2 Earth radii, planets will start to change into mini-neptune, and at 1.6 planets are more likely to be mini-neptune than supar-earth. Since 1g is barely any larger than Earth, it is very likely to be rocky/waterworld. 452b, however, is a poor candidate and is more likely a mini-neptune. Actually science and imagination usually works together, but let's deal with it. (If I have to post something related to the pic above, I'd post a religious pic. 10/10)
