  1. The title of this thread should read: "Kerbal Space Program 1.2: Loud & Clear release date and no more!
  2. Yet. And also, the thread you mentioned was the team’s official announcement.
  3. @UomoCapra, you mentioned wanting to get together with fans more. Does this mean you will be attending PAX this next year?
  4. 1/10 Saw you once or twice before.
  5. Wow, this looks like the entire dev team, except maybe 1 or 2, are leaving! Could 1.2 be the last version to be released? I don’t want it that way, there are sooooo many planned updates I look forward to, that will now never happen!
  6. I knew it!!! I have gone officially crazy!!! Doncha hate it when that happens?
  7. Whaaaaa? That's cool! I'm gonna re-download this mod tomorrow! Cause it ain't on my install.
  8. This plane has what was called the L-series in 1.1.2 as the main fuselage: My main career cargo hauler. That fuselage system does not appear to be in the 1.8.5 update of the mod. Am I crazy?
  9. @JadeOfMaar, I'm not panicking about the L-series. What I told you came from what I last heard from @stali79, that the L-series was going away for the 1.8.5.x update, and also from the fact that they are absent from 1.8.5.1. I would love to be wrong, and I haven't gotten to download the latest version since my computer problems are rampant lately. So now I'm curious. The impression I got from Stali was that few used the L-series, so it was going for good. Am I misinterpreting this? I hope so, for the sake of my cargo spaceplanes. About the ARI-75b, I always use them for VTOL as they have an awesome particle effect. It looks seriously cool, and I love how they sound. It's so tempting to use them for vacuum, but it destroys Delta-V. I've always loved how pretty OPT engines are, and how frikin awesome they sound. Especially the scramjets!
  10. @JadeOfMaar, cool! I might run a certain orbital defense system in the works by you at some point, but I have to get it to a more viable place, which means a new laptop, and bleh. But about the L-size parts, @stali79 told me he was getting rid of them, but there is the hope that K. Yeon will re-introduce them. I don't have much time, so I'll do a more detailed response later, but now to the important part:
  11. Okay, so now I just feel really stupid. I honestly have no idea what the "hub" even is. I double-checked your profile, your post announcing the companies for each side, the poll results, and the OP. All to no avail. I'm sorry. Could you explain what the hub is? I'm sorry, but I have no clue what you are talking about. Maybe I know what it is, but I just don't know it by that name. I don't know. Help?
  12. Sure, why not? When @K.Yeon comes back, will he bring back the L-size? Oooooooohhh I really hope so! Is there anything I can do to convince him to? They actually had IVAs, and they were pretty, and useful for deep space travel, and hauling heavy duty stuff. P.S. @stali79, don't beat yourself up, nothing that happened was your fault. Besides, toe-stepping is MY job, not to mention my PhD, and I'm not about to let you steal my job! Lighten up!
  13. @NotAnAimbot, nice poll! Maybe @HatBat can add it to the OP, hint hint.... Ummm, I checked, and for whatever reason, I cannot find out which side Aimbot Labs is aligned with. Could you please enlighten me? Or am I just being dumb, and missing the obvious, like normal? @Mobius thanks for the mention! Hope to make it a fair fight! Since you seem to be a good chap, would you mind if I sent you the proposed back story for my company? I would like your opinion. Thanks!
  14. @JadeOfMaar, thank you for your appreciation! I really loved the L-size parts for deep space stuff in general and was extremely sad to see them go. Now I just use the Avatar class, since it is big enough to need the dark drives. And now especially that I've seen the movie Avatar. The one with the big wings... I absolutely love your name for it! What'd you cross it out for? I don't go to any effort for nice names for my planes unless they go up on KerbalX, so it currently has a name like: "Ultra large cargo ssto" or something like that. I may use your name if I post it on KerbalX, with your permission, of course. Funny thing, that actually has some vertical engines on the nose to help it take off. If not gotten off the runway as soon as possible, it invariably destroys it. The reason the wings are so far back is that it has cargo holds up front to hold as much as possible. All my OPT spaceplanes are designed to take on cargo, and tons of it, once in orbit, to any body you want. For example, the Dark Drive's efficiency allows the Lone Wolf (the L-sized one) to reach orbit with 13,000 m/s of Delta-v. Lone Wolf has been put on KerbalX, as you can probably guess from the fact that it has a name. It was designed to accompany my Jool mission, to land on moons with no atmosphere. However, the official formation of CMAU Incorporated put my career save on long term pause, and now my laptop tanking put a pause on CMAU Incorporated. My KSP activity has been low recently. My computer now lags over simple rockets so I can't even design the big stuff. Ooh... just saw the new icons! Love em! I'm so glad they got rid of the idiotic non-kerbal smileys. Oh, those made me shiver! And the navball icons?! Oooooooohh! Anyway, CMAU business will resume like normal when I get a new computer. P.S. For those wondering, my computer is nothing fancy. It's just an older MacBook Pro. Almost five years old!
  15. @NotAnAimbot, I'm not sure if I count, as none of my ships have been submitted yet, but my company, CMAU Incorporated, is wholeheartedly behind HKA.
  16. Do I want it? Heck yeah! I've always wanted to have it compatible with 1.1.3! I just didn't want to rebuild it. I would love to see the tweaks you've made to it! I might put it up on KerbalX (re-adding the cloaking), and if I do, I'll be sure to give you full credit for the adjustments. Ya know, something funny, the Zephyr One was actually never intended to go to orbit. But when I had to add those boosters on the back, for a little extra power, I thought "Why not try for orbit? I mean those are rockets on the back. It's got a ton of fuel..." So, I actually managed to make orbit, with a tiny bit of fuel left, just enough to deorbit (I'm not really good at efficiently flying spaceplanes) and that was when I discovered that the small rockets on the back were intended for use in the atmosphere, and had abysmal vacuum isp. After that, I just used it for long-distance flights on Kerbin. I mean, I have other OPT Space planes designed for use in orbit, that have like 13,000 m/s of Delta-v left after achieving orbit. I'm really happy you liked it.
  17. Well, I was told that this plane looked roughly like the shuttle, although that wasn't my intent at the time, since I hadn't seen the movie yet... But here's the KerbalX link: https://kerbalx.com/Mycroft_33/Zephyr-One This was actually intended to be reminiscent of the SHIELD Season two 'Zephyr One', but I did use the avatar class cockpit, so I dunno. It is a VTOL, like both Zephyr One and the shuttle, but the VTOL is touchy, so be careful. It can fly at speeds of around Mach four, allowing it to circumvent Kerbin. And because of a great little mod, it can go invisible! I thought that was cool. Kerbalx has a mod list, as well as a download link. Enjoy! Off to try to make an actual model of it... Tomorrow... Well, after I finish my Intercontinental Ballistic Defense System.
  18. Okay, so instead of posting 34 image links (a pain to do) here is the album url: http://imgur.com/a/UOwO6. It shows three or four of my OPT SSTOs, all of which are on my KerbalX page (well, one is a fighter, not an SSTO). All are from 1.1.2.
  19. I am in the process of making an orbital defense system capable of dropping 8 fully functional ground batteries equipped with twin ‘Hydra’ rocket turrets anywhere on Kerbin. Has anyone done that before?
  20. So apparently it actually has the same ratio of atmosphere/vacuum isp, and the same ratio of in-atmo/vacuum thrust. Do the math. Oh by the way, I just saw the movie 'Avatar' and as soon as I saw the shuttle, I thought: "Oh my goodness, that is totally an OPT plane!" I now see where OPT got its inspiration for that cockpit from. I immediately fell in love with that shuttle, and now I wanna go build one. It's funny, the whole thing, not just the cockpit had the look of this mod from the landing gear to the wing tips. Something tells me that's intentional, and I now love this mod that much more. Oooh that shuttle was pretty...
  21. So you get to work with @stali79? Or is he not really involved anymore? I'm confused, and I probably shouldn't be, but could someone please enlighten me?
  22. If you look at how far the docking port extends out, then extrapolate it down into the body, then it looks like there should be. Heck, even if it takes up the entire center section there should be enough space for two Kerbals on each side.
  23. @Spanksh does seem to have a point... On any other docking port, I'd agree with @stali79, but yeah that is true that it would seem to have room....
