I flew a SPLICER fighter jet around that big krater using Scatterer and E.V.E.! My computer is melting and I'll be sure to share a link to the video once it's done. I've got around 2.5 hours of footage right now. Editing WON'T BE FUN!
-
I flew a SPLICER X to Kidney Krater and got some amazing screen shots! I've wanted to go there ever since I saw it from orbit a few weeks after I got the game! Didn't take as long to upload as I thought
-
Can I have a simplistic flag of Jool peaking over the horizon of Vall from orbit, please?

Half the parts stop the game from loading. I don't know why. PLEASE HELP I JUST WANT BEAMED POWER! -

MULTIPLE TIMES!? Do I really need that annoying toolbar and RCS sounds? -

Here's a sat I put in orbit using Hyperedit to test everything at once. I have 8 Gigantor solar arrays, which is more than enough for my purposes and one of each transmitter including legacies. As you can see, NOTHING WORKS! Code: http://pastebin.com/TNbezdBf Screenshots -

They DO have a right click menu. I'll get a few screenshots and a copy of the code just in case -

The big orange one can't transmit. It gives me the option to deploy panels and deploy panels. Currently, it only acts like a solar panel. Edit: There are no options other than deploy on the orange one and no options whatsoever on all the other ones -

But there are no options on the gray one. Shouldn't it be possible to toggle reception in case something goes to excrements with a probe and you need to kill it at any cost or it'll blow up your space station? The big, folded one is the transmitter, right? I love the mod but the main reason I downloaded it in the first place is for the beamed power - it helps with ion probes and Kerbal Foundries (not up to date) hovercraft. I can see myself adding a transmitter to my space stations and in keostationary orbit to power my rovers, stockprops, and other things. -

The hexagonal thing that has a texture sorta like a solar panel? Yes Edit: Yes, I've tried re-installing. Yes, I've tried other versions of KSP. Yes, I've tried an unmodded install. Yes, I've made sure I have sufficient electric charge and megajoules. Yes, the panels had sufficient sun exposure. Yes, I can re-create the bug. No, nothing on the surface is receiving power -

Beamed power isn't working! It doesn't give me the option to transmit, receive, or relay power! -
How feasible is a high-altitude variant of this? I don't care if I have to bring along some oxidizer to function at that height. How much energy would it need to function up there?
-
And the sound would be generated by the air rushing out of the back of the engine! What exactly is that part called in jets?
-
I don't have any examples but it is possible. Normal jets work by heating outside air using fuel and shooting the now pressurized air out the back. This will skip fuel and just use electric coils similar to those in a toaster or electric heater. It may sound weak, but you can melt metal with electricity Wow! I did not see that coming! Maybe an air-speed generator could work? Get the plane up to decent speeds with rover wheels or a combustion engine and slowly throttle up the electrojet? Of course, there's always the possibility of using the Interstellar mod as a base because of the beamed power, but I really don't want to do that I'd say somewhere between "Wheesley" and "Panther" levels. I could use some help figuring out how much electric charge and intake air to use, ISP, atmosphere curves, and probably gimbal
-
It'll be a small parts mod with only four parts, all of which will be electric jet engines based on thermal expansion. The specific engines will be a 1.25m variant, radial 2.50m variant, a 0.625m variant, and a standard radial variant. As for the real world physics, it'll work like a hair dryer mixed with a ramjet. Can I have some audio and tuning help?

[Mod request] Runway speed recorder
Fireheart318 replied to Fireheart318's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
But I want to count the nanosecond the rear hatch is on the runway. Hatches are the only system I could get to stay in one piece and not fling me off the runway -
I've been working on the runway speed record but can't figure out my speed when I exit the runway. I propose an addon to the f3 screen that displays the highest speed you hit while part of your craft is on the runway

[1.2.2] Centauri Dreams - Explore Alpha Centauri
Fireheart318 replied to hikoriyami's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I can't get it to work. I have the right mods, nothing more, nothing less Edit I: Not sure if I wanted reverse psychology or not, but that's what I got. It works now, but the planet on the title screen is a bumble bee Edit II: It was probably one of my own mods conflicting. It added in a planet with no gravity and lots of oxygen. At least, it did before it broke D:
