  1. Better close this to save Minerman any more embarrassment.
  2. Yep, Venus has a nasty atmosphere, as the Russians discovered
  3. Welcome to the community dmc75287, it's always good to see new fans of KSP I used to play Eve as well, it's an addictive game.
  4. He's successful when people bother to give him attention and keep talking about his stuff, people seem to be getting worked up over nothing.
  5. If the default drivers work for you then don't worry about it, we don't have the same security concerns as some other operating systems And yeah, eufonts is what you need as there's a particular version of the Arial fonts that Unity uses for its default, Arial and ArialBold are also downloadable from the opening post.
  6. Movenating to the Spacecraft Exchange as it's a better place for all things crafty
  7. Further reading http://www.esa.int/Our_Activities/Space_Science/What_are_Lagrange_points http://www.nasa.gov/missions/solarsystem/f-lagrange.html http://www.physics.montana.edu/faculty/cornish/lagrange.html
  8. Hate to be the one to say it but there's a really good resource on lagrange points. They don't work in patched conic systems such as what KSP uses, and no, they are not just SoI's with no body in them. These threads often devolve and always tread the same old ground, so I'll just direct you all to this thread.
  9. Try this for Kerbin, for other planets with oceans modify accordingly Change: To:
  10. Whoops sorry, sometimes we forget to check the queue You're over 3 posts now so won't have to worry about auto-moderation, it's just an anti-spambot thing
  11. The Dream Chaser devs announce they are ending development and moving on to other things, and Dream Chaser as it stands now is released as "finished", an unplayable buggy mess. I wish for a sunny day tomorrow
  12. Probably for the same reason we don't have widespread electric cars (not counting hybrids here), the technology to power the lasers is still pants, unless you have a large immobile bank of capacitors handy or a gas turbine powered alternator you're out of luck as far as laser weapons go. Battery powered laser guns are still a long way off.
  13. Is this thread going anywhere? Does it have any real purpose in life? Can it bring new and exciting conversation to light? To find the answer to these questions just solve this anagram: on Let's move on to better topics shall we?
  14. Press the F1 key to take an in-game shot
  15. Unfortunately not FITorion, the tree system used in KSP will still only allow a connection to one node of the parent part, or a surface attachment of course, but that one node will be stronger thanks to this change. We may not need the extra struts, but it'll still only be attached in one corner and we'll still need fuel lines. Edit: See also: HarvesteR's explanation.
  16. You mention FSX addons, I'm pretty sure there's a rocket engine sound addon for KSP somewhere
  17. There's a definite "up" and "down" in KSP, depending on camera orientation, so when looking at your craft try to angle it "up" relative to your view of it
  18. Squad will update to the latest version of Unity if it's available (and if it doesn't break too many things) but there's no plans to change engines. Unity will get better, Squad pester them quite a bit to get this stuff sorted out
  19. Yep, this is currently correct, other stuff can be handed off to other cores but the physics is on one core only at present.
  20. This might be possible with a plugin, but there's no way to do this that I know of, it's not a settings.cfg option for example. Ideally your choice of what to display would be persistent, you'd be better of suggesting this in the suggestions forum
  21. Kerbals can come loose if they are at a funny angle when they exit the spacecraft, try getting your craft upright before going eva
