  1. The issue with closing the game while the persistent.sfs is in use is that if a read or write action is interrupted, the save file is damaged. What would be needed is for KSP to check for a current read/write, wait till it's over or force one at that time so the file is up to date, and then exit afterwards.
  2. There aren't actually any exit operations, as long as you are not in an active game you can quit with no problems. By active game I mean not in the flight scene, so not in the map or looking at your vessel. If you are at the space center, the tracking station, the VAB or similar then your persistent.sfs is not being read/written to and won't be harmed.
  3. What about alt+f4? There's also windowed mode, with the little x in the corner (alt+enter to switch between windowed and fullscreen)
  4. This is bordering on trolling, is definitely spamming, and ticks the conspiracy theory/pseudo-science woo box as well. Closing.
  5. Yeah it's a pain, but if you tick the "remember me" box when you login, it should stop logging you out
  6. Combining these threads would create a horrible mess as posts would be disjointed, the only real option is to close this (and move XL5's post over) or leave them both running.
  7. I'm guessing you have another tricoupler below those engines, two of the decouplers won't be attached so when you fire them they fly off with a lot of force, and impact the tricoupler.
  8. If the fairings hit each other they will bounce away and not cause your engines harm Rotate them so the seam between fairings points directly outwards.
  9. If you are using the tri, bi or quad coupler to mount more than one LV-N, you will need to rotate the engines with (shift+) A or D so the fairings don't hit them
  10. If you'd rather post it here that's good too, it'd be good to know more ways to fix this bug either way.
  11. Glad you fixed it, any chance you could document what you did so it might help others?
  12. It looks like you managed to get parts within parts using symmetry, you should see some flickering or brighter parts in the editor, these are the ones that are duplicated and clipped inside each other. Craft file editing can fix this but it's a real nightmare, it's possible to detach the parts in the editor if you are careful though, expect a lot of rage moments when parts refuse to be put down or half your craft vanishes with one click. It might help to move the craft so you can get the camera inside it, but really you want to find the part before all this duplication started and dump it. Everything after that point will have to be rebuilt, there's just something screwy about using symmetry when the section already has symmetry of its own.
  13. Galane, please start a new thread to discuss this airplane (I suggest in the Space Lounge or Rocket Builders) and link to here, it's much better to do that than to revive such old threads. Closing
  14. The music... I just... my ears hurt :/ I like the plane though
  15. Please discuss addon is the addon thread, thank you Closing!
  16. Welcome to the community wrhicks14 Good luck with the docking, it's hardest the first time, but after that it's fine, just remember to take your time at it as if you rush you'll have trouble.
  17. Very nice, and the music goes really well, good editing too
  18. Captain Sierra, you are expecting instant action but all things take time, Rowsdower did say that he'd consider moving it back but you've allowed him no time to consider it. These two posts of yours were unwarrented, and your language unnecessary, you damage your chances of seeing the Pics thread restored if you act this way. And before you go "naming names" I moved that thread, so you can stop taking it out on Rowsdower and anyone else.
  19. All planets and moons apart from Jool will have biomes, well and the Sun of course These take time to get "right" and may still be tweaked later, we'll see what we get in 0.24
  20. Where a thread is shouldn't change whether it is a good thread or not, or whether you feel you can post in it. Many members don't post outside of a few areas, like GD and the Lounge, these places are more accepting of general ideas or random thoughts, and it's easy for members to not only come up with suitable content, but also to contribute to the discussion. This is admittedly harder in some areas like Addon Development, where you really need to know what you're doing or be interested in getting started with mod development. Fanworks is supposed to be open to all however, no matter your skill, we want to see what you can do And especially in image threads, everyone can contribute and it's a lot of fun, it also helps to draw other members to fanworks when there are notable threads there as they are more likely to find all the other cool threads that don't fit in GD, especially if they look here. Fanworks is the home of the creative types here, but everyone can make something, so rather than worry about having a thread in GD come over to Fanworks and have a blast, share your stuff, it's just a click away
  21. Welcome back, though isn't this the second time? Anyway it's good to see you posting again, KSP hasn't changed that much, but if you have any questions feel free to ask here or in the Gameplay section. Fly safe!
