  1. Guys, this isn't a SpaceX v Blue Origin thread, such a thread is in poor taste anyway, so please leave the bashing at the door.
  2. I better close this, if TT wants to revive it he can let me know.
  3. Hi @IPlayGames360, please see here.
  4. It's a bit tricky as you can't see the highlighting on imgur albums, but if you try to highlight it like you do with text you can then remove it with backspace and delete.
  5. Are you running the KSP.x86 directly? If you made a link on the desktop it may be why it's not working.
  6. Hi @toejam, Ossie posted this in February so there's a good chance he's figured it out by now, F5 and F9 do work but you need to make sure your F keys have not been toggled to another mode, for example as media keys on some laptops.
  7. It's still on my dropbox @Torih, here's the link again. It's only for 1.0.4 though, if you're on 1.0.5 just delete the current Physics.cfg and KSP will make a new one (with the correct numbers).
  8. Okay so lets think how you could be in this situation. When you first start all you have is a Mk1 pod, mk16 chute, basic fins and flea boosters, the goo can and structural girder can actually help slow you as they are draggy. With these you can go straight up as you won't get high or fast enough for it to matter. But if you're stacking fleas or using the hammer you need to think about not going straight up, there's a couple of ways you could do this. One is to steer as you go up, if your basic fins are too far to the back this can be a bit hard though so don't use too many and don't put them at the very bottom of the rocket. Another way is to put structural girders under the hammer SRB and tilt the rocket (and the girders) with the rotate tool (3 in the editor), this'll let you make a crude launch stand and launch at an angle, and because you will fall through more air on the way down you will slow down sooner. If you have heatshields and aren't reaching obit yet just take the heatshields off, you don't need them for sub-orbital flights, and the lighter pod will lose inertia sooner than a pod with heat shield. If you're worried about heat, add a decoupler between the pod and heat shield, when you stage the heat shield you'll have drag from the pod and the heatshield together, slowing you down even sooner. Reducing the ablator also makes them lighter, helping you lose inertia and speed sooner. But you will struggle if you're dropping straight down, about the only other thing you can do if you're insisting on dropping vertically is to stick girders on the pod itself, it'll work but it'll look weird, because you really need to be doing ballistic flights, not vertical. Edit: If you're using a hammer and no decoupler you have build a lawn dart and you won't slow down enough, you need to use a decoupler and the pod needs to be flat end forwards.
  9. Well, I can bind my analogue Logitech pad to KSP axis, and my sticks. Can't help with the Steam controller, I don't have one and last I heard people were having difficulty setting it up.
  10. Hmm, maybe your pad allows for two finger tapping like mine does for right click, worth a shot.
  11. It should go white rather than green, and you need to slow below about 250m/s for this to happen, please note however that if you activated your chute early it'll be destroyed and won't turn white. Don't drop straight down, you need an arcing, ballistic type trajectory more like this. Also, heatshields are heavy and will cause you to take longer to slow down, so try putting the heatshield on a decoupler and discarding it after the flames go out.
  12. Intel? AMD? There can be issues with these cards, they don't like it when KSP's built-in antialiasing is on and can cause the black background you describe, so can PPFX edge highlighting, so try turning those off. You can force antialiasing via AMD graphics card drivers, not sure about Intel.
  13. Well, it looks like there's been a few driver updates since you installed your AMD card, the latest driver for the R9 200 for Windows 10 is here. So it's worth updating, also if you're running fraps or anything similar try turning it off.
  14. Hi moppel, can you please get your PC's dxdiag hardware report and the output_log from the KSP_Data folder, and either upload them to a file host or try putting their contents here in spoilers by clicking the eye in the post editor

    Hi

    Welcome to the forum notactive
  16. Is this a save from 1.0.4? There have been reports of this happening with old saves.
  17. Okay, I will assume you have tried restarting KSP, you should also try restarting the computer. If it's still doing this, please update your graphics driver, here is the latest for your Nvidia 9400GT, then reboot again so the driver starts properly.
  18. Oh wait my mistake that's the KSP.log, the output_log is in KSP_Data. The dropbox link just takes me to the sign in page, when you click a file in dropbox it will give you a sharing link.
  19. Well that's not supposed to happen ever ... It's not a known bug, we'll need the output_log.txt from your game, it's in the same folder as the KSP.exe, and we'll need your dxdiag hardware report. You can put the files on a file host such as dropbox.com then post the share link here.
  20. Hi @mrmcp1, please unzip a new copy of KSP to C:\Games and run that copy instead.
