  4. Is there any way to avoid fields of micrometeorites entirely? Like the ISS will see that a patch is coming up and then use its thrusters to dodge it. Is there any way to get out of the way rather than just having to take the hit?

  7. I'm using the stock version, and only the shuttle runway and the ksc mesh works. The rest of the models show up properly in the mesh preview, but then when I go to place down a static, they show up as the ksc mesh, no matter which model I choose. I used the installation instructions in the op, but it still doesn't work. I've reinstalled multiple times. I'm not sure what's going on
  8. Are there some special installation instructions? I'm dropping the folders in gamedata in gamedata as usual and only a couple models work
  9. This is a known issue and can be solved one of 2 ways: get the kerbal joint reinforcement mod or enable advanced tweakables in the settings menu on the home page. The problem is that squad chose to make the joint strength somewhere between a wet noodle and a bendy straw and this isn't adequate for a complex rocket like the Sarnus V

  15. The no IVA is a pet peeve of mine, so I usually don't edit crew capacity
  16. This does work in 1.2.2, although I wish it had 8 seats to accurately simulate the real shuttle. Beggars can't be choosers
  17. To weigh in on the whole "flexibility vs set purpose" topic, I personally don't use them for any sort of flexibility, although I think I'm in the minority. When I use part mods, specifically historical ones, I build them as they were intended. So I think it's important to maintain the "original purpose" for lack of better term. Just my opinion though
