  1. Version: 1.12.4 Windows Problem: When attempting to load any active vessel for the first time after starting the game, the craft violently shakes with an "approaching G-Limits" warning and explodes. Reloading the last quicksave returns the vessel to normal, at the cost of any progress since then. However, for some craft, the game just crashes upon attempting to load (again, only after first starting up the game). Mods installed: Reproduction steps: Start up game, Enter tracking station, Switch to any active vessel Crash Logs:
  2. I wanna experiment with some airship-based airborne bases, and I used to do this with the old AirPark mod, but it's suuuper out of date. I'm gonna give it a whirl anyways and see if it still works, but are there any other mods that do something similar (freezing/"parking" a vessel hovering in midair/at sea by switching to a landed state)? It's a really handy feature to have.
  3. Eh, more often than not I've had issues with landing gear being overly bouncy and not functioning right. Last time they were working was back in a previous update (1.3.1 I think). The docking port in question has been left open since then, and I've tested on both freshly undocked and other previously open ports (after moving back and coming back in as well). No luck sadly
  4. Whenever I try to dock two vessels in space, both with clear, unobstructed, previously-functioning docking ports, the ports will. not. connect. And it's driving me absolutely insane. The ports don't have any magnetism whatsoever, and even though the ports are touching, they still won't connect and just bounce off. Quicksaving and reloading has proved unsuccessful. I'm running version 1.4.1. Any help would be appreciated, I'm getting extremely frustrated. This, combined with the broken landing gear and bad framerates, are really making me want to drop this game
  5. After doing some "research" at the island airstrip (it may have involved SRBs and a turboprop plane ), Jebediah was assigned to fly the scientists who had been collecting data back to the space center using the company K-90. He ended up flying home around sunset, and here's what Jeb and his passengers ended up seeing.
  6. Thank you for your kind words! And I actually have Airplane Plus installed, yet I've never seen the door/airstair parts. Guess it's time to fire up KSP and look through again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  7. I've been working on a little project as of lately. It's a replica/model of the Gulfstream G-IV. It's still somewhat of a WIP as there are still some rough edges, but the aircraft is perfectly flyable. I've spent around three hours getting things to work and trying out different cockpit configurations. (and I'm still kinda upset that the Hawkspeed air-stairs mod isn't Tweakscale compatible ) Anyways, here's some images of the plane: https://imgur.com/ Hope you all like it!
  8. I sent a rover to Eve! I used the Jupiter-V launch vehicle again to get everything into orbit. Here it is on the launchpad. Here's the transfer vehicle and payload in LKO. I ended up just barely having enough Delta-V to deorbit around Eve! Here's the rover and parachute attachment in Eve's upper atmosphere. The Kraken decided to pay me a visit when I separated the heat shield from the drogue parachute assembly, and it wound up taking one of my drogue chutes as payment The rover got to enjoy a lovely Eve sunset as it made its final decent separated from the heat shield and drogue chute assembly. I'm thankful and a little surprised it didn't break and explode during the separation! And here's my lovely little rover on the ground on Eve. It doesn't drive all too well, but it can maintain an uplink to Kerbin around noontime, and it has a decent power supply!
  9. Okay, I've gotta admit that thing looks pretty dang cool.
  10. I landed on Duna! I forgot to take a screenshot of the command-service module, so here's a screenshot of the launch vehicle, dubbed the Jupiter-V. I flew the mission Apollo style, complete with reorienting the lander and CSM. The CSM had 7 liquid fuel only 1.25m fuel tanks, 4 of which were detachable. The only other parts were the heat shield, command pod, parachute, and battery bank. It was powered by 1 NERVA engine. Overall, the mission was a success! Everything functioned nominally (except for the CSM & lander reorientation) and I wound up having ~2,000 m/s of Delta-V leftover.
  11. No screenshots today, sadly But I finally landed my SSTO Capricorn at an alternative landing site! Using Kerbinside, I landed Capricorn at the Lushlands airstrip after it deployed a small probe bound for Duna. I also made a rendition of an Airbus A319 last night, and I'm super proud of it.
  12. Today I finally fixed a technical problem with KSP, and to celebrate, I reinstalled Kerbal Aircraft Expansion (KAX), as well as installing the Maritime pack and Kerbal Rotor Expansion (KRX). I then proceeded to build a VTOL and a helicopter that both flew and landed stably! I managed to land the helicopter on the VAB helipad but not the VTOL
  13. Welcome back, @Fengist, glad to see the Maritime pack is up and running again!
  14. So it turns out the problem was trim, but KSP was ignoring Alt+X and it didn't reset. The SAS was exacerbating the problem though, and I'll follow your advice and keep it off on stations in the future. Thanks for the help!
