Delete the line mesh = Model.mu in mk2cabin2.cfg. It has a MODEL node in it which is mutually exclusive with mesh = x. In OPT Spaceplane Parts I got a report of a similar error that had just a great a reach. A non-hollow part had a cargo bay module and that crippled every aircraft for that user just by being loaded by KSP.- 146 replies

@Geonovast How odd. Your log mentions a drag cube error with the Mk2 long cabin....... Well crap. The config for it has a broken link to its model file. KSP must be reacting very badly to this.- 146 replies

@HaullyGames Howdy. I couldn't help but notice a matter of resources earlier in this thread. If I may make a related request/suggestion: It would be a good idea if you and fellow Kerbalism experts can settle on refactoring the remaining resources. It could be a big step towards making this more compatible with others. Kerbalism currently keeps repeat definitions for all of its resources, repeats of those that exist in CRP. These definitions also have different or missing stats versus CRP, which causes warnings to be thrown and may interfere with other mods that use these resources. Fixing this requires a few deletions and possible other changes in GameData/Kerbalism/System/Resources.cfg. If you accept, I'll send a revised file myself and I'll give further advice concerning resources and making them useful and appropriate in Kerbalism.

@Asmodeous Players must be getting fooled and setup for trouble then, attempting to use the bundled Kopernicus 1.3.0-4 in KSP 1.3.1. Experience tells me it is bad practice for planet modders to include Kopernicus in their downloads. I also believe it's the Kopernicus dev's wish that Kopernicus not be bundled. It saves everyone a little trouble if the user always firstly goes to Kopernicus' download area and pick the version for their KSP. Or, it becomes clear much sooner whether there's a fault on the planet modder's side or the Kopernicus side. As for this mod, it is not to be expected to work well beyond Kopernicus 1.3.0-4 as it dos not have sunlight curves which were introduced in Kopernicus 1.3.0-6. No curves = infinite light from every star.

My textures already are DDS. But I've always been very concerned for their total weight in the download. A major update is already planned wherein I'll likely cull all the texture files per tank mode, and keep only textures per LS mod.- 146 replies

This is odd. Are you playing KSP in a language other than English? If not, try deleting all of CRP's localization files except English (en.cfg). This helps to fix another prominent problem with this mod.

Pardon me... Why would you even consider rendezvous and docking while between the stars? Relative velocities and angles can be absolutely anywhere. No one is going to allow that situation to come up. You can't build a big enough KSS xxxChaser that can spare the dV for that. Lol- 4,170 replies

Barely opened KSP today but managed the first stop in my After Kerbin expedition. Captured at "Demise." SCANsat mapping is completely done, and Karbonite was harvested for refilling the MonoPropellant on all vessels after using some to speedily orient the caravan for a burn. I've edited the global configs to make Karbonite a bit more abundant everywhere so I can do the Bussard Collector thing outside of GPP.

Stock non-folding radiators (that's what these look like) are only able to effectively absorb heat from their grandparent part or anything directly surface attached to them. I personally would not use them on anything other than a small engine or a resource converter. But assuming they indeed work well in this setup, I must give @StarCrusher96 two thumbs up for an effective design.- 4,170 replies

I believe those are actually radiators. You do not want to aerobrake at a star. No heatshield will protect you from that. The ablator will eventually all wear out and the second any part of your ship gets line of sight with the star's heat rays it will explode.- 4,170 replies

Install KSS Basic and as many of the optionals as you want (within your computer's ability to perform well with that kind of load). Nice to see a support request for @Gordon Fecyk's mod. It may be better that his mod contains the configs as it's very small compared to KSS so updates can be pushed faster. I supplied most of its existing configs for planet mods so the KSS devs only need to throw a table of body names and average values in my direction.- 4,170 replies

@sebi.zzr I like where you're going, actually, and have taken inspiration and some direction from what you shared, but: There are still mods other than MKS that use some resources. Pathfinder, for example, is not a USI mod so I cannot fathom the MKS needs being applied to it. And it makes heavy use of ExoticMinerals and RareMetals. Fertilizer will appear by default in consideration of recent discussion about its function in not only USI LS but Kerbal Planetary Base Systems and TAC LS. The over-sensitivity to unused resources is why I was disinterested. Going to the point of deleting entries from CRP's main file is truly something no one will want to help you with. Not me, and not anyone who maintains CRP. I'll accept the hard lesson concerning this image. I entirely did not see this coming. You can create a patch like this to personalize SSPXr to fit your taste, and keep it anywhere within GameData\ so it doesn't get deleted by any mod updates. Apart from adding LDEF cartridges into @Angel-125 science mod "MOLE", The Spice also adds part upgrades to some of his tank parts. It is disabled by default and must be unlocked in career or science mode. The Spice is now compatible with @linuxgurugamer's IFI Life Support. Compatibility with life support mods is pretty basic. SpiceMelange --> LS Resources. Rather than haul Ore or Fertilizer and dedicated ISRU to strip out and use the good portions, you can haul a few boxes of the Spice Melange and plug some Spice Applicators into your ship. Shown below, respectively. The boxes can be Tweakscaled. Spice Melange is lightweight and nearly 100% mass-efficient in conversion into essential resources. It is that rich of a raw resource. Compatibility is present for nearly all major life support mods just as in Airline Kuisine which is a thread of the month for February 2018. USI, TAC, IFI, and Snacks compatible. No integration with other mods' converters and no recyclers of any sort will be provided.- 101 replies

Shieldnir Derived from a mythological hammer (of all things) with a very oddly spelled name, and just as the WarpJets leverage intense internal magnetic fields to render propulsion, these heavy nose cones leverage intense external magnetic fields to render thermal protection. They're not meant to help you slow down and survive. They're meant to help you survive while accelerating out of giant planets with atmosphere. Shieldnir's power extends to some choice parts (mainly a few stock parts, and currently parts from OPT Spaceplane, and all cockpits stock or mod with a certain minimum mass) but this extension must be unlocked in science or career mode, or manually turned on (as part upgrades) in sandbox. The Mk2 nose is from Quiztech. Its license is permissive so don't be hate'n. This new stuff should enter the open sometime this week. -

There are times when you don't want KS3P to function. In the SPH for demo screenshots is one of those times, and these Japier parts have funky specular settings. Anyway, here it is.
