  1. Thermosphere doesn't destroy most thermal resistant parts first in real life. Not sure how cooling works at vacuum that fast. there is no thermal conduction happening without air. Are you saying konosohere decides to destroy most heat resistant parts first. And destroy parts if they are protected by heatshield but let uncovered parts alone?
  2. No. Thats why rockets are made aerodynamic. Drag is smaller factor than gravity. Real life low twr is more of because rockets are loaded as much fuel as possible to get further, and there is limit of how many engines you can attach to certain area. We have drag in ksp too, but it isnt very big factor at pointy heavy vessels. If we were limited to certain amount of stages and engines, to get further at ksp we would need to go low twr too to fill as much fuel as possible. Another reason why irl has less stages and lower twr is because tanks full/empty ratio is lot bigger in real life. In ksp its 9:1. And yet another reason is irl has better thrust weight ratio of engines. Ksp player has more dead mass and that makes staging more important.
  3. -I was at orbit of Kerbin -Made maneuver node to minmus -During burn i did pause game and went to mission control. now game seemed to stay still at loading screen. -i unpaused game -Now i maybe switched to map and back. Later i tried do same but didn't get same problem. But i think pausing game and using timewarp when loading screen, should be prevented so these don't happen. There is same kind of bugs when launching vessel and pause game during loading screen, vessel spawns underground, different bug report.

  5. It seems that wings have just an base weight, if you resize them it doesn't affect weight. What is benefits of having bigger wings if it can be cheesed with more lightweight wing, are there any other differences than thermal resistance?

  8. 50m/s impact tolerance might come handy when newbie friend first time rendevouzes with your luxury (not minimalist) space station.
  9. I would like to see randomness in every planets characteristics, which would only be revealed by using science experiments or observing their different orbits. Suddenly duna might not have atmosphere or ike has oxygen. Minmus has bigger gravity. All this randomness to make every New Game unique and research.
  10. Music is so awesome bringing immersion in this game, i didn't expect it being so good. And it feels that every planet and moon has their own music but i might be wrong here, but every planet has own mood when entering them and its in those sounds.
  11. I have 4k hours in ksp and i like it multiplayer. Just because i like ksp doesn't mean i don't need it MP or doesn't mean that majority of people wants KSP 2 be single player game nor adds anything to them if they liked first game, thats absurd thinking. MP surely was one of biggest selling points in KSP 2 reveal announcments.
  12. I think bug hunting with friends would be funnier than bug hunting alone. Now that all missions are completed there aint much to do right now. I used to play KSP with LMP mod just to cooperatively build stations around planets but multiplayer was very clumsy and buggy laggy.
  13. Where you did get stats for "most"? Is there some poll going somewhere? Everything is made something in mind, but to succeed order and technique must be correct. I have friends and i know lot of people whom likes playing multiplayer games together. You are not most people. Seems like you don't know or understand what world and possiblities opens with multiplayer.
  14. Pro tip: you can move youtube videos forward fast with keyboard arrows. And i think i describted situations very well for normal people under those videos and after, if you did read anything else than title.
  15. If you add more wheels you can pretty much climb anything. At least that is what i have been experimenting in kerbin mountains.
  16. There should be option, if it isn't allready there, when pressing F button you get rotation of placed part locked to center of part instead of vessel.
  17. Yes there should be better UI for vessel info. But for now you can get stage information back if you create new empty stage.
  18. And yes we kerbalists like to throw rockets more horisontal than real life counter parts. Main reason for this is that real life has safety management, it is lot safer to bring more fuel and go straight up more than necessary before going horisontal. This is exact reason why tutorials teaches to rocket go straight up long before gravity turn, because it is safer and more predictable, you don't want new player to follow rules which risks whole operation to blow up. And Kerbin is small marble ball compared to Earth, curvature of atmopshere comes lot sooner in KSP.
  19. This is nice idea. But i don't like time challenges, where you can be outrun if you build fast enought. I would like turn based method where each one has equal amount of launches/funding per mission and winner is determined by quality of completition instead of being super fast. Being modded i think there will be so many game modes available. This, Monopoly, Star Wars, sneak operations, area control. Future definetly seems like we all are winners.
  20. Made some bug hunt for extendable engines, this isn't bug but i tried to make lift from those engines. It doesn't work like expected: You can extend stacked engines, they doesn't raise vessel but they intersects eachother. Expected behauviour: 1)Whole ship would stretch in height. or 2)Engine cannot be extended while they are attached to both nodes. If 1 would be true, then power of bell extented motors should be calculated.
  21. Did you compare those videos? If you add heatshields it shouldn't explode faster or even at equal speed. But i don't know everything about universe, i have been wrong couple times. I actually were not believing it was a bug before, i thought it was immersive and did think i just have to figure a way to do things. But to figure a way to do things, system which you have to figure out must have logic, if logic doesn't exists then figuring it out isn't worth of time, just like lot of people.
  22. I've tried it and with no change. Landing vessel to Eve is bigger challenge than leaving it.
  23. TWR is what you are willing to lose. If 1.3 is okay for you then you lose 75% of deltaV each second you burn up. 1.5TWR you lose 66%. and 2TWR you lose 50%. This only affects start of flight tho. Ofcourse your TWR increases when you burn more fuel but because we don't have money in game then it is probably slighty more better to have more TWR than less.
  24. I support this, i actually had same idea when testing thermal system and heatshields. Some of parts can right now be protected if you apply therma shield at middle of vessel so both of thermal shields nods parts are protected from heat (this kind of works like that part is covered with ablators) but it doesn't seem to work for all parts and isn't reliable.
