  1. Indeed my loading screen warns me that this mod is not compatible, though I use many other 1.3 mods and the game does not seem to care. Whatever the incompatibility is, it must be relevant! Good to know an update is in the works. This is a great mod.
  2. Hehe i am sure its not easy. Keep up the good work!
  3. @Jatwaa you could perhaps take a look on "hooligan labs airships", as it has a balancing feature that you could perhaps emulate somehow. With it, buoyancy and leveling is automatically controlled by a GUI. Maybe somerhing similar could make "moist" that much better! It already is good, though. Just a thought!
  4. Yep thats what I meant. Tantares having a periscope would be for mere eycandy reasons, and afaik, some of previous tantares parts have been deprecated over time so that more space and development time was spent towards more meaningful parts. Thats why the old vostok parts were left behind, for instance, isnt it? Now, I am disconsidering hrabans remarks, as it seems his grip of english is a little ... hmmm... dry, but I assure he got my comments the wrong way. What he took for in my comments is not what I meant, but I think it that much is clear.
  5. The periacope would be so nice, if IVAs had a meaning other than cosmetic purposes! Or if you could use "hullcam" or "kurs docking cam" or some other docking alignment mode from the periscope's perspective. But as it is, its merely a cosmetic part. ... too bad btw.
  6. It would be good to see this in 1.4!
  7. Oh the car is not mine. Its a pic by blackheart that I quoted.... couldnt just NOT do the joke.... Lada also came to my mind.... as did the trabant!
  8. Great, lets see how this evolves. Actually I was not even thinking about damage models, only something that looked like a proper tank hull. And yes, the parts size is indeed a bad match! Ladies and gentleman, the best thing that the koviet east-keuropean auto industry can give you: the kerbal yugo! THE KUGO!
  9. And in any case tantares parts are better in any way than the new stock parts! Though I might add, the new stock modules are simply some vostok-based capsules, not included in tantares anymore.... didnt someone pick up the defunct tantares-vostok parts and release them as "vostok continued" or something? It would be good to hear from him!
  10. Good to see this being picked up. Thanks @linuxgurugamer
  11. Quite agree. Bought it and installed it....the mouse detector is all wrong! Have to place the pointer 1 inch to the letf, in order to hit the buttons...(facepalm). Anyway.... the dlc appears to be a mere parts pack + mission builder. It would seem that our beloved mods will work in both ksp versions (with and sens making history). Or so I hope!
  12. @BealeThe parts are looking awesomer than ever. Let's talk a bit about making history, shall we? I have some doubts about this new DLC thing. KSP used to only have one single current version, now I am not sure what gives. The new, unDLC-ed KSP is 1.4.nought. Now we have 1.4.1, which is the DLC. Or is it? I honestly don't know anymore. I got so used to simply check the new updated mod versions in spacedock, but now I am not sure what gives, mostly, if the newer version will absorb the last one, of if 1.4 and 1.4.1 are now different things, other than the latest version of the same thing. Lets use tantares as an example. It still is a 1.3.1 valid mod (at least is says so in space dock, the OP do not mention anywhing otherwise). What I am wondering is: 1 - How 1.3.1. mod versions deal with the newer ksp? Is it all the same? The unity version was changed in this newer KSP so there are bound to be issues, me thinks, 2 - Suppose Beale updates the mod to 1.4. Will it work for those who bought the DLC and this have 1.4.1.? 3 - What about the other way around? Mods updated to 1.4.1 will REQUIRE the user to have the DLC?
  13. Good to see this thing updated. I wouldnt sleep well until those docking light helpers were up to date with 1.4!
  14. I won't hear of it! Tantares has given me hundreds of hours of joy, and I am only too glad to give something back! Btw, if any other mod dev wants me to translate their localization texts to portuguese, don't hesitate to PM me with the text file.
  15. @linuxgurugamer, I have a question: are all containers, of all kinds and holding whichever resources, liable to leak? TAC-LS food containers, for instance?
  16. Mother of God! This mod is just brilliant. I wish I had more than just a "like" to give. This is just the kind of mod that makes ksp that much more "pro". This should be in "thread of the month"!
  17. My point exactelly. I mean come on, we get bombarded by weekly news as if something colossal was on the works. I think the mission builder will be worth another version on its own, but another "point something" everytime there is a new decoupler or so....? And with all this bling and confetti?
  18. It sure was a weird design choice to make parachutes available only for 3-stars-or-higher kerbals. I mean, pilots are good enough to pilot rockets into space, but not to pull a string? This does not affect my gameplay since I use a heavily modded KSP, and there are at least two very good parachute mods out there. But I feel sorry for the non-modders. Historically, the very first astronaut (that had, up till that point, 'zero' stars so to speak, since he hasn't returned to Baikonur to 'level up' yet ) had to parachute out of his capsule. Now, I know this is a sour and grouchy thing to say, but I'll say it anyway: what is all this mega-hype for? This is my perception of 1.4 so far: 1 - There is literally just one command pod added and it hasn't even a properly working IVA - so the thing was released in a bugged state (!!); 2 - The changeable textures reveled to be nothing more than two choices of texture (the release pics leads you to believe otherwise. Where's '"grey and orange", "gold", "bare" etc.?); 3 - The post mentions "quality of life" improvements, but I detected only the button to jump directly from VAB to SPH (which is good, granted, but the "improvements to the UI and quality of life upgrades" announcement is a little too much). Some may say that the new Unity version is an improvement. An "under the hood" improvement, let's call it. I sure hope it pays off. I could see no discernible difference, but I shiver just to think on how this will impact the already-extant mods (with all the thousands of work-hours that went into it). Some may also say that this is a stepping-stone towards future better versions of the game, including making history etc. Ok ok ... but couldn't squad just release everything when it is done? Does it really takes all this milking of the news? After all, in the weekly announcements i have seen voshkod parts, soyuz fuel tanks, and so many promising new parts... where are they? Are all of them going to be it's own "point-something'? Soon enough we will be getting a 1.4.1. that simply corrects the EVA, and then several point-somethings, then 'making history' will be 1.4.x. or 1.5 ... ok, if that is the way the team works, so be it ... but until then, do we really need super-stoked weekly announcements as if something gigantic was being changed, when it isn't? All I'm saying, less releases with more relevant upgrades per batch: that would be ideal. Insofar I can't rip my hair off just because of a faulty command pod and 3-star parachutes. Keep up the work, though!
  19. Everytime I hear/read the word "friendo" it reminds me of "no country for old men" ("call it.... friendo!") and it gives me the creeps! Pardon my ignorance, but I must ask: the OP now have a "march 18th" reference. What happens/happened then?
