  1. Yes I do it all the time.

First, you go into that planet's config in kittopia, go into ScaledVersion and click the "TextureOptions" node. In there, set the texture delta to the deformity of your heightmap. After that, go back out into the planet's ScaledVersion node, and click Rebuild ScaledSpace Textures. The game will update the planet automatically, but the normal map/height/color maps are saved in the Kittopia Folder in your GameData.

I left most social media accounts today. Part of a social media fast. It's hard to leave some discord servers I like and abandon watching youtube and twitter but hopefully it's for the better.

    I have some exceptions

I am still uploading to Youtube

I can still watch Starship tests

And the forums is ok since I don't have any negativity here

and a few discord servers that are community projects.

I probably will never set up an account on any social media website, except for the  KSP forums and Discord (Only for Kopernicus support).

I've disavowed social media, I just don't want to expose myself to the toxcicity on some parts of the internet, so I can understand.

(I haven't watched youtube myself in over 2 years).

  3. If nationalities were named the same as most alien species are in sci fi

    Germanians

    Hungarines

    Morroconians

America (Some species are named after their homeworlds with no "-ans" or "ians", The "Breen" are from "Breen" for example)

    Spoiler

Note, this is not meant to be offensive, just to poke fun at sci-fi writers unimaginative species names. Humans are not named Earthians for a reason!

Do you just load your texture in Wilbur then mess around with everything, then get that as a map and put that in the config?

Ironically I don't really use this method anymore, I've changed a lot of the planets who used this kind of texture.

Essentially, currently I use 10+ layers of noise in Wilbur to accomplish a reasonably good looking texture. I've created some really good planets based only off noise.

Alrighty indeed. I just need to get a couple screenshots, or a video of it.

Have you tried removing the atmosphere node and seeing if it persists?

    Has it occured multiple times?

    Can you provide Orton's config?

Also, it appears I was wrong about the NAN kraken, it is usually caused by SOI conflicts. As a precaution, in Valor's config, I would create an "Sphere of Influence" value and set it to a couple thousand kilometers outside Orton's orbit to make sure that it has nothing to  do with Valor's SOI.

NAN Kraken. It could be a SOI conflict, I'll have to go and tweak the config a bit.

In that case, it's probably not an SOI conflict. An SOI conflict usually causes you to be flung inside the sun or explode inside the planet.

You might want to ask on the Kopernicus Discord. They usually can help.

That's literally 90% of the work

Remember what happened to Milo? Basically, I tried to cheat a probe to Orton to take some pics. And then, the Kraken struck. I have a hunch it has something to do with the pressure curve stuff.

    What Kraken?

Atmospheres don't have an effect outside of them, so a pressure curve shouldn't matter if you're in orbit.

The most common issue is usually that it's a SOI conflict.
