So after some time, I can finally release an ETA for 0.4 (formerly 0.3.2)
It will release on Friday, 11/20/2020, to coincide with the Japris Stellar Neighborhood Space Race.

No idea how they're meant to produce light, though. Also, not sure we need to invent some McGuffin for it. There's still starlight, so you'd get same illumination as on a clear moonless night. It's not a lot, but it's not pitch black. It'd make exploration more difficult and more treacherous, both because of poor illumination and because you can't rely on solar. But I think it would feel like a challenge, rather than frustration. So long as there's something exciting there to find, I think it would be worth it.
One rather grim possibility is ruins of a civilization on that dead world. If a habitable planet gets knocked out clear of its orbit, say, during a stellar near-miss, the planet will turn into a snowball with no weather to speak of within years. Eventually, atmosphere itself will condense and liquify, increasing the ocean level by some tens of meters at the most, leaving a lot of the cities open to vacuum. As the planet continues to cool, the former atmosphere might freeze as well, leaving giant planes of perfectly smooth surface with continents preserved almost as they were in between. There would be few asteroids to come by in interstellar space. No destructive radiation. No weather in what little trace atmosphere remains. Cities can stand preserved for millions of years waiting for someone to find them.
No, what I meant was that in order for it to be crashing constantly, something else must be making it at the same rate.

I'm now on version 0.3.1.
It may say that it's only compatible with 1.10, but that's not true, it's actually compatible all the way down to 1.8.1.

Second stage cut-off, prepare for orbital insertion.
Orbital insertion is a go!
And now we have our first look at the feeble rays of Kerbol with the scientific instruments...Much to the KSC's surprise, kerbol is dying. The kerbal race only has a few precious years left before kerbol will go supernova, and scorch their home. The only hope for the kerbals is to flee to the nearby Aryaa system, and rebuild civilization.
So naturally, the kerbals must send out probes to gather as much science as possible.
Here is the journey of Razmakh-
Launch! As you can see, the kerbals are wasting no time...time is of the essence if they will survive.

Orbital Insertion around Romily-
Razmakh was designed to be an orbiter, but science is so precious to the endangered kerbals to the point they will push the boundaries of their technology. Thank goodness Romily's atmosphere is quite tenuous...

It's cobbled together from Earth's heightmap. Currently it's WIP, as I haven't removed polar distortion on it's south pole and it lacks it's distinctive canyon for now. But here's the base to satisfy your interests!

for the eye that stares into your soulfor the crater, it's not as big but there is a small crater that stands out against the surrounding areas. -
