  1. Looks like a cool mod so far, but I have a few suggestions:

Raquel - It has what I call "Painted Mountain Syndrome." That occurs when you use the heal/clone tool straight from another image and fail to blend it properly, making the planet's features look unnatural to the viewer.
Tange - It needs more contrast, and the lava ocean is an unrealistic color.
Retrosum - If you can use it, I would highly recommend Gasoeus Giganticus. It procedurally generates gas giant textures, and pretty good ones too. I know some people can't use it due to having a different OS, but if you can, I would highly recommend it. Tutorial for installing it on windows here: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/165285-planetary-texturing-guide-repository/

I also find Magna a bit odd, being monochrome and all, but it is nevertheless quite unique.

Yep. It's monochrome due to it's high helium and carbon monoxide content in it's atmosphere. Maybe not the best, but I get points for originality, right?

    Spoiler

Also, if someone has already made a monochrome gas giant, my apologies.

Parva is also reminiscent of Jupiter, which is because I used a cross-section of jupiter as my input image.

I definitely think that the first texture for Rhark is the better one.

I would agree with that assesment. That's what happens when you have a high number of bands and a high number vortices input into the program.

MAKE KSP 2 BE ABLE TO USE MULTIPLE CORES, SERIOUSLY,

I don't believe that is even possible, it's been discussed before in other threads, and I think (don't hold me to this) that was the conclusion.

My thoughts on this is a hard maybe. It's wouldn't be very commercially viable to release it on the PS4 and Xbox 1, but they did promise it.

  4. With 0.5 coming soon, along with the New Year's Day (if you celebrate it), here's a short breakdown of the 0.5 update.

    GIANT revamps

    OkjzK4R.png

The two gas giants in this mod, Fuischa and Crucible, have received lovely revamps. Fuischa's rings are now much more fuzzy than before (this screenshot is old), a vast improvement compared to their old versions. Other revamps include Oppo, Bold, Hote, and Desper, shown below.

Other bodies have been added, including Arcas, Echion, Cadaver, Roa, Fia, and Yilara.

That's it for 0.5, releasing soon!

I don't feel they are what makes KSP what it is

I actually feel the opposite. Kerbals to me are what seperates KSP from the pack of space simulators of Simple Rockets 2 and Orbiter. They allow some emotional attachment that you otherwise  wouldn't have with another space simulator. Overall, I like Kerbals, as it gives the game some heart, but they're not absolutely essential.

Off-topic thing: the discord server link seems to be expired. Can you please post a new link?

    Sure thing! Apologies for that.

Will all of this be included in v0.5?

Yes. 0.5 adds I believe Roa, Fia, Yilara, Cadaver, Arcas, Echion, Zoildore, Therix, and Sytha. 0.5 also revamps to some extent Oppo, Bold, Hote, Crucible, Fuischa, Arayya and Desper. That brings the number of completed bodies in Japris Stellar Neighborhood to 37.

These are some really good-looking bodies you’ve made! Keep it up!

    Well, there's more:
This is Sytha, Therix's moon. It's a WIP and what you see here is a preview, not an in game screenshot.

The interesting thing about Sytha is that it's mostly split along the equator from the northern highlands to the southern lowlands. Along the foothills of the northern highlands lies a large fault line, where numerous volcanos have sprung up. Additionally, here's a 3D mesh of an area on the equatorial faultline, where 6 volcanos, including the large one in the upper image have formed.

  8. Arcas, the third moon of Fuischa, has been done!

    jVVVkJv.png

    JW7n70J.png

Out of the seven asteroids in this mod, this is probably my favorite. Arcas is inspired by similar to 16 psyche and Evap that it is a block of metals and minerals, which means it has a lot higher gravity for it's size. Some of you may notice the phobos-like stress marks shown in the image.

  9. I'm in the process of adding a new planet to Japris Stellar Neighborhood, called Echion. Echion is a quasi-satellite of Fuischa - meaning that the body seems to "orbit" around a planet, but in reality orbits around the Sun. Anyways, presenting Echion, a world sculpted by  an atmosphere that no longer exists:

It's a reddish world, mostly plains punctuated by huge craggy mountain ranges. It gets near Enough to Fuischa to allow it to be seen with the naked eye.
